Montreal Heart Institute

This is my best experience in an emergency room in Montreal! I arrived here at 3pm for irregular heart beat and short of breath, thinking I was having a severe heart disease. Nurses and doctors were very kind and efficient. During the 4 hours I stayed here, several tests were done in a well-organized way: EKG, blood test, ultrasound, heart monitor. In the end Dre Pelletier explained my current situation and the treatment in the next step. She eased my stress and provided very helpful suggestions. I was discharged at 7pm. Can't imagine I only stayed in ER for 4 hours with 4 exams done. All staff here treated patients humanely. Even though I'm English-speaking, I didn't encounter any issue. Hope we can have more hospitals like ICM in Montreal.

My experiences at this hospital was great. The staff worked so hard to make sure I was comfortable and emotionally on par. My surgeon kept me updated on all my health issues concerning my operation and was precise making sure I was stable before going home. I had no problem with people speaking English with me and trying hard to get the correct words. My french is limited but I did try and since my husband's first language is French it was helpful to have him there for big conversations. The staff there work so hard. Thank you to everyone on the 3rd floor and in the XRay department. The hospital was very clean

Had a wonderful experience here! I waited over 17 hours at another hospital with chest pain and shortness of breath and never saw a doctor. A walk in clinic sent me to the heart institute and I’m so glad they did! I was there 7 hours total but I saw the doctors twice and had multiple tests run in that time. Everyone from the support staff, the nurses and doctors were all very kind and helpful. This is the place to be if you’re having heart related symptoms!

A very clean and organized hospital. Patients are well treated and have the full attention of the carers or administrative staff. From the reception to the patient's room you are well informed and well directed. Thank you to everyone who is careful to keep this hospital among the best in the world.

Amazing service. Walked in to emergency with a doctors referral - had a blood test, ekg, ultrasound and blood pressure tested, consulted with the doctor. In and out in an hour. Friendly staff, free parking. A+

This morning I had a scare for my husband. Thinking he was having a heart attack. With what has gone on in our family the last 6 weeks I was panicking. Lost my mother in law to a heart attack , and what she had was hereditary. Her condition was ONLY able to be seen by ultrasound. When i brought my husband in I thought he was going through the same thing. I have 2 babies at home and was extremely stressed. An ultrasound today (labour day) was not possible as there was no one to check. Dr. Lucey was soooo kind to put my mind at ease and check my husband's aorta with ultrasound. Even though she wasn't the one who usually does so. I am grateful for her kind heart and understanding for what I have been going through. The service was super fast and everyone was a great help. But I thank Dr. Lucey the most because she checked him the right way and the in a way that made me feel that my husband was taken care of. There aren't that many people, let alone doctors who will go that little extra mile for someone. Thank you Dr. Lucey , I really appreciate you putting my mind at ease ♥️

I have been followed by this institution for over a decade now. The finest medical team I have ever encountered. From the nurses, to the doctors, to the surgical team. When I was hospitalized, I got the best care, the send a nutritionist to ask what you like and don't like so that your meals during your stay is to your liking. They come and sit with you and talk to you when they see you are lonely, they hold your hand when you are in pain. They even give you massages when your back or neck hurts. Usually you don't have good memories when it comes to hospitals or doctors but in my case it has been the complete opposite. They list to their patient and make you feel understood. They become part of your family. They make miracles happen. If you or your loved ones need cardiac care, this is the place to come to. If anyone has any questions please message me.

If you unfortunately need heart treatments , you would be very lucky to go to this hospital. The staff there is exceedingly professional and caring. There are no finer nurses nor more qualified doctors in the world. I am so grateful that if my father had to have a heart attack, he had it on vacation in Montreal , where this institute literally brought him back from a code blue cardiac arrest and saved his life. Our entire family is very grateful to the hard working and dedicated staff. I wish I can remember all of their names. Dr Joliecarre performed the surgery. All of the nurses were wonderful. It was a very stressful time so I am very sorry I can't remember everyone's names. Dimitri, Valerie, Marie Chantal, Sabine , Alex, Josie. The amazing staff that performed CPR on my dad. Thank you. You are all his angels.

I was pleasantly surprised by the swiftness of the service we have received. The doctor that attended us was very gentle and understanding.
