Attentive service and a great atmosphere! I ordered the vegan burger and a vegan dessert — both were absolutely amazing, and the portion sizes were really generous. Whether you're dining alone or with friends, this place is a great choice for dinner. I walked in and got a table, but it filled up quickly, so I’d recommend booking ahead if you can.

The food is insane! Super tasteful, presentation is exquisite, service is on point, we ate here twice as we were staying in the hotel but we also loved the food. Tartare is the best ive had, super unique. The chicken is also delicious. Just, no words. You need to try it!

Art Deco vibe, nice and cozy seating space, spacious and nice toilets. Great service - I talked with the lovely Victoria! What a precious experience when you're traveling alone and have the staff being friendly by exchanging some stories about life! Please, whoever from Montreux Jazz Café reads this comment, my greetings to Victoria! Dessert was prettily presented, however the fish was not as fresh as expected - which is by nature as one cannot always expect fresh fish frome the lake ;)

I stumbled upon the Montreux Jazz Cafe by accident while I was walking by the promenade 10 days ago. Being a Jazz enthusiast and familiar with the annual festival, I’ve decided to give the place a try. At first, the atmosphere was amazing, the walls were decorated with portraits of Jazz legends who participated in the festival. I wasn’t planning on having lunch but I thought about trying the burger, and boy oh boy, I wasn’t disappointed. It was one of best burgers I’ve ever eaten, juicy and full of flavors. I was served by a nice Angolan young man whom, unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name and we had a minor nice chat. I would visit this place again whenever I’m back in Montreux.

Food, service and atmosphere were all great. The main downside are the prices which are high, but you get good value for your money.

The Montraux Jazz Cafe at Montreux Palace perfectly blends musical heritage with culinary excellence. Nestled within the legendary Palace Hotel, this cafe captures the spirit of the famous Jazz Festival while offering a sophisticated dining experience. The walls adorned with historic jazz memorabilia and festival photographs create an immersive atmosphere. The subtle background jazz adds the perfect ambiance without overwhelming conversation. Service matches the Palace's prestigious reputation - attentive yet unobtrusive. Whether you're here for a casual coffee or a full meal, the experience feels special. The Burger is my favorite dish here Pro tip: Try to get a window seat in the late afternoon to catch the sunset over the lake while enjoying their excellent coffee and pastries.

Montreux Jazz Café is our favorite restaurant, and it was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday on July 1st. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. One of the things that truly makes this place special is the chef, Domenico. He is not only incredibly professional and attentive to detail, but also a genuinely kind person. Without him, the restaurant simply wouldn’t be the same. Thank you for making our evening unforgettable!

Yelp
What an amazing way to start the day in Montreux. After a beautiful train ride from Interlaken, we were able to enjoy a fine meal along Lake Geneva which landed us at Montreux Jazz Café. The service was excellent, as was the decor, perfectly situated across the street from the park and lake. I'm not here to be your tour guide but rather to recommend this café for the exclusive meal we shared. The wine, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, was exceptional. I told the server "this wine is fine" and he said, "madame, we only serve fine wine here!" We splurged on oysters on the half shell, requesting a side of horseradish... frowned upon in this region, maybe? But at 36 francs for 6, I want my horseradish too! Beef tartare, made to order and according to your taste in spice. The server even brought a spoonful to see if it was suitable for the palate. However, they do make it away from the table, but still within sight. It would have been really special to see it prepared tableside. Burger, it was fantastic and I'm from the land of burgers. I've had my share of excellent burgers and this one ranks as one of the best. (For 42 francs, Im thinking it should be and it was).Perfectly cooked, accompanied by perfectly crisped French fries. The condiments are served in the side and adorable as well. I used my hands for this burger, perhaps the setting calls for a fork and knife. Oh well, I'm American, I apologize in advance. Caesar salad ... amazing. Not just beautifully presented, but delicious. Dressing, shaved parmesan, and croutons served on the side. Whole anchovies draped over the top. Now that's a salad. We ended with a tea, espressos, and complimentary sweets. Exquisite. This is a special place to share a special meal, so go here and make some memories. I keep telling myself that i sat in the same seat as Carlos Santana or Freddy Mercury. One can dream! Thank you for the memories Montreux Jazz Café.

Yelp
Service was great and the views were cool. I wish the bread was fresher it was as hard as rocks but I'm sure it would have tasted good! Also, It is a little pricey but they were open on a holiday so we were grateful.

Yelp
Montreux jazz cafe was our savior when we wanted decent lunch around 4pm. The food here is delicious and the service is great. Was pleasantly surprised by the presentation of the food as well. They were very generous with the chocolate when you order coffee or tea. The perch fillet I ordered was beautiful to look at and tested good. Didn't not smell or taste fishy at all. I consider it a dish toward the lighter side. Opted to get a bigger side of salad rather than having fries or rice. The salad was good as well. My mom got the chocolate torte and I'm glad she did cause I got to eat half of it and it was amazing. My wife went with the Ceaser salad and thought it was just standard. Overall a great place to have lunch and maybe do it outdoors if the weather is nice.

Yelp
We came to the Montreux Jazz Cafe for lunch yesterday after getting a bit of a later start in the morning. Unlike at night, when it can fill up a bit, and you can hear the (usually) jazz pouring out of Funky Claude's further back, lunch is a bit more sedate, with the windows thrown open if the weather cooperates and various highlights from the annual jazz festival playing on framed television screens across the restaurant. With only a handful of other tables occupied just after noon on a Saturday, service was pretty quick to come by, whether it was serving our drinks or having our food brought out in a timely fashion. The cocktail selection is a bit more limited compared to the bar next door, but you can still get a Funky Claude (basically a pineapple and brown sugar-laced mojito with some absinthe) - and it's 4 francs cheaper to boot...so that was a nice arbitrage to take advantage of. My wife's latte was alright, but as a non-coffee drinker, it would be hard for me to tell what makes a good latte. There's a decent selection of food to choose from, and we decided to start with a foie gras terrine served with an artistically-done streak of black currant circling the foie. It wasn't the creamiest foie I have had, but the flavor was quite good with the black currant, and the part I probably enjoyed the most was the very yellow grilled slice of brioche that came with it - presumably a potato-based bread, but it was quite hearty and a good match for the richness of the liver. My wife's main was a very light and seasonally appropriate salad that was served with thick, almost sashimi-like cuts of salmon, along with a whole host of sliced tomatoes. It had the least lettuce I have seen in a salad in some time, but it was very summery and refreshing. My burger was very delicious and jam-packed with cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and the house sauce (which was quite good). I threw on a little bit of Heinz as well, and it was a filling way to get the rest of my day started. The fries are cooked to a nice crisp and are lightly salted - in perfect condition to be dipped in the tiny Heinz bottles that I got. I like the breezy, jazzy vibe that the cafe gives off, and while the food wasn't mind-blowing, I felt it was definitely a cut above what an 'average' hotel restaurant that aims to be casual would serve up. I only wish I had gotten the beef tartare, which looked amazing and was prepared tableside for the folks next to us. Maybe next time!

Yelp
We went on Sunday for dinner and there was no music. How does a jazz place not have any music!? A martini was about $25 and 2 ounces of wine was about $13. The complimentary olives were the star of the show.

Yelp
Food was good, but service took forever and forgot items multiple times. The restaurant area wasn't even fully booked but our servers forgot our drinks multiple times, brought the wrong appetizers, forgot another appetizer and forgot a salad with main course. There were only 4 of us and it took almost 3 hours to finish because the service was so slow. For the price, the food was good but better service is expected.

Yelp
I have gone to this restaurant twice in the past week, and I believe it may be the best restaurant in Montreux. The atmosphere is unparalleled with the live jazz music and stylish interior. The service is quick and the servers are friendly (however, is January, so there are many less people than during the summer). My first time, I had the chicken Caesar salad, and it was the best Caesar salad that I have had in a long time with extremely fresh lettuce. My second time I had the cauliflower risotto. The presentation was beautiful with edible flowers on top. It was absolutely delicious. The scallops with carrot risotto also is very good. I suspect that every option on the menu is delectable. The servers recommend the cheese cake and meringue for dessert, and both are worth a try!
