Montreux Youth Hostel

Very welcoming staff, well-maintained room, furniture, and toilets. Location is good, though you can always hear the train passing by. Breakfast is simple but descent. The only complaint I have is the weird smell in the room when the heating is on. I solved the issue by opening the window time to time. Should be fine. Overall it is a great accommodation. I will definitely visit again during next ski weekend.

Good location, very welcoming and helpful staff. The only concern is that the place is under the railway, so there will be the noise of the train every few minutes. The quality of the facility is impressive. Toilets and dining areas are clean and well-maintained. Breakfast is descent though without too many options. Overall given the price, the hostel is definitely a great value for the money you spend.

Very close to lake, just beside the lake. Downhill from railway station & bus stop. Microwave to cook small items. Rooms & washrooms are neat & good, are new. Lockers in the room can be locked with the key card. But no lift, need to take the stairs. Good breakfast with lot of options of bread & cheese to choose, cereals, fruits, juices.

Is near to the lake but quite a distance from train station. And there is slope, not recommend if u with heavy luggage. Breakfast option is limited but dining area is cozy and very comfortable.

I was there from 7th September till 17 September, this is the 4th time for me to stay. The hostel is so so clean the crew of the hostel are marvellous thanks for everyone especially Lionel, Alexandra, Diane and one of the room service I didn't remember her name may be shalla. Many thanks for her efforts to carry my heavy bag to the 3rd floor... The only bad thing is left wasn't working.

The stay was not up to my expectations. The view from the dorm is blocked by the train track and can get quite noisy occasionally. Although the hostel is walking distance away from the bus station, but there is a slope and stairs to climb to reach the hostel. Other than that, overall was okay, it is similar to the other hostel of the company . Just that the light in the shower turns off every 10mins and it becomes completely dark and I have to try to find the switch to turn it on again, as well as the water, you'll have to keep pressing it every 10 seconds if not it will just stop. Do note that the basin, toilet and shower are separated. It was a comfortable stay for a night before heading to Geneva the next morning, breakfast served was okay.

The staff members are one of the best people in this industry! Genuinely friendly, kind, and extremely helpful. Don't be afraid to chat with them. They like to chit-chat and joke around. It's a really adult friendly, kids friendly environment. ||Untop of this, the hygiene is 10/10! The rooms, toilets, badrooms, and wash rooms are clean. The breakfast/diner, halls are clean. ||The breakfast and diner are more than okay to start and end your day with. Everything is prepared by the lovely staff of the hostel. Ps. They're master chefs. They just won't admit it...||The hostel is located at the lake of Geneva, and the area is beautiful! It's totally worth it to take a morning or evening walk. It's a very safe environment, and people of Montreux will say hello or even start to talk to you. ||I stayed for 4 days, but if I knew this was going to be this great, I would have booked a few days more! Really recommend this hostel! 👏🏽

I had a late flight and called the hostel beforehand to let them know that I would be checking in quite late. The staff on the phone was very accommodating and arranged for me to get my room key even though I arrived at 11pm. The rooms and other facilities are extremely clean. Everything felt new. Great for backpackers or single travelers. The location of the hostel is less than 5 minutes from the nearest train station, Territet, along with the most amazing view of the lake. The woman receptionist is very friendly to chat with. The breakfast was great for value, with cereal, fruit, cheese, meats, yoghurts and juices. Could not recommend more.

Again at the Hostel in Montreux. Again clean and friendly place to be. Rooms got an update and now every bed has a light and 230V connector. Breakfast is basic but as always fresh and complete with good coffee.

BED BUGS INFESTED!!!! It's 3:30 AM and I'm on a wooden bench in the lobby. My bed and bedboard were crawling with dozens of huge and small bedbugs! When I turned on the light I was shocked! There were so many, all over me the sheets the walls. Disgusting!
