Auberge de Jeunesse Montreux

Staff here were so friendly and helpful. They seemed really positive. You could tell they went the extra mile to make the hostel a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A lot of thought went into the breakfast. The location is great, right by the lakeside. And the rooms are modern and clean.

The first thing I'll say is that the staff were lovely. The hostel itself is in an awesome location (literally steps away from the lake front) and it's generally very clean and well kept all over. The only minus points I'd give are for 2 things: 1. The breakfast is very very basic. 2. The presence of young children (specifically parents who don't have any regard for other guests staying at the hostel). I stayed for 3 nights and young children would run up and down the corridors super early in the morning, shouting, screaming and yelling, and would slam the toilet doors shut right outside my room - not a single input from the parents telling them to be quiet. I came to rest, not to be woken up at 6am 😩

Wonderful place, just two steps from the beautiful lake. An antique building recently tastefully restored. Nice and clean rooms furnished with solid oak wood bunk beds. Decent dinner and a superb breakfast. They allow you to store your luggage (and bikes) after check-out. Only one important thing is missing: a rope to hang up clothes.

The location of this hostel right by the lake is absolutely perfect! The reception are very friendly, and the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. It is expensive compared to similar hostels elsewhere but it's worth paying for the location. It was quite noisy with passing trains and school groups, so would bring earplugs next time.

The rooms are spectacular, bathrooms are clean but I had to lug my suitcase up 2 flights of stairs. It did not help that I had to lug it around to reach the hostel.

The location is fantastic, and is next to the beech, 30 seconds and you are in a romantic lakeside, i would definatly stay again when every i am travelling to montreux. The breakfast was nice as well, the staff at the reception was welcoming and lovely

The hostel is located at Territet (1 Station away if you take the hourly train or 10mins away if you take the electric bus 201), near lake Geneva. While the train track passes very close to the hostel, it was not very noisy. There are quite a lot of local students staying there for the same night, but there were no queues for toilets or table for breakfast. Just note that you will need to make a detour along the vehicle road if you bring luggage (don't take the stairs), and need to make your bed (as expected).

Extremely nice hostel. It just got completely renovated two years ago, so everything is new and very clean. The breakfest is very good, as well as the beds. I initially planned on staying two nights, but enjoy Montreux and this hostel so much, I made it three. It is a great location on the lake, and roughly 12 minutes on public transport for the city center.

Again at the Hostel in Montreux. Again clean and friendly place to be. Rooms got an update and now every bed has a light and 230V connector. Breakfast is basic but as always fresh and complete with good coffee.

BED BUGS INFESTED!!!! It's 3:30 AM and I'm on a wooden bench in the lobby. My bed and bedboard were crawling with dozens of huge and small bedbugs! When I turned on the light I was shocked! There were so many, all over me the sheets the walls. Disgusting!
