"Located in western Rio de Janeiro, Sítio Roberto Burle Marx is a botanical garden that boasts more than 3,500 species of plants. Developed over the course of 40 years by landscape architect and artist Roberto Burle Marx, the site is the first modern tropical garden to be inscribed on the World Heritage List." - Caitlin Morton
We went in the early hours of the morning. There was no queue at all. I bought a ticket on the spot and the climb was in 15 minutes, very fast. It is worth visiting. However, it seems quite expensive to me. In dollars it is about 39 - not so cheap. But once you go and see Rio de Janeiro, it is worth it. Take into account the weather outside
On the top you can have coffee, ice cream or something to eat.

If you are in Rio de Janeiro, you have to go. The view during the day is completely different at night.
You can stay at the bar, drink a cold beer , and enjoy the view .
I recommend buying tickets online.
And choose a nice clear day to go.

I didn't pre-book as wanted a day with good visibility, walked right in it was 195 reals for everything, didn't wait long for a cable car. And the views are stunning. They try and get you to take a photo walking in so they can sell you one leaving. They seem a bit pushy about it. But was really lovely once up there.

Fantastic views from both mountains, the staff is helpful and everything very clear where to go. On the first mountain there is a nice crepe cafe that I would recommend, on the top mountain the restaurant serves quite good breakfasts.

Incredible. If youre planning to hike there, the trail closes at 5pm and its an hour of hike (medium difficulty). Better to take the cable car and buy tickets online from official website to avoid long lines. Going up is quick. Coming down takes time due to long lines. 1st mountain in incredible with shops and live music and the views are too beautiful probably the best view of all rio. Be here at sunset for sure. 2nd mountain (higher of the two) is a waste of time
