Cool excursion for the day. Snorkeling off the island is really easy and tons of fish. We hiked up a bit but didn’t do the full hike. Really lovely but too hot to sit out on the beach.

Monuriki is an incredible destination with stunning sandy beaches and excellent snorkeling opportunities. The well-maintained walking trail around the peninsula is a delight, and hiking to one of the peaks offers breathtaking views. Additionally, Monuriki is famous for being the filming location of Tom Hanks' movie "Castaway."

the island where the film "castaway " was shot. the island is truly beautiful, and it is always extraordinary to see the natural setting of a film. You will even see Wilson! This island is part of the Mananuca islands, close to one another it is worth taking some time to visit the nearby islands very different from one another. Dream beaches and crystal turquoise blue waters

Beautiful small island. Amazing turquoise water. Great for swimming and snorkeling. Small track for exploring on land. Takes you from one side of the island to the other. Only a couple of 100m in diameter. Coconut palms. You get here with Cruisingiji. A 100% Fijian owned company.

A must visit while going to Fiji. I couldn't find Wilson, but instead I found a gorgeous island with beautiful places for snorkelling, tropical forest with papayas and magnificent views. If you are lucky enough, you can find iguanas (haven't seen myself) and turtle nesting areas. Island by itself is indeed uninhabited, however there are many other islands nearby and you can see the main Fiji island on horizon. On of the few legit places from Tom Hanks movie would be a coconut cracker stone :)

Great Island with small hotels and some nice little restaurants. Airport are on east side of the island, so best is to book a hotel at west or south beach. People speak fluently German and Dutch. Internet via WLAN available, but you need Australien WLAN cable standard to connect. Great place to stay.

Beautiful island, some locals from Yanuya Island showed us key spots from the Film Castaway. Very beautiful, great snorkelling on the western side. Please remember to remove all rubbish before leaving.
