Moo Moo The Wine Bar + Grill

Wow. Moo Moo is a very impressive restaurant, hitting the mark in food, service, and atmosphere 🤩! We booked 2 weeks in advance (yes it is absolutely necessary to reserve seating, we tried to walk-in prior and failed) and were eager to dine here as it’s an infamous restaurant for its delectable steaks. Safe to say, it was definitely amazing! The 300g tenderloin was juicy and tasty. My favourite of them all. The scotch fillet not-so my style, but definitely enjoyed by the rest. Service was also nice. We were served by a guy who said that the “special for 2” steak had never let anyone down, and he was absolutely right. The “special for 2” steak was delicious! One negative, though, are the seats. Pictured below, they looked pretty scruffy and dated and were quite uncomfortable to sit on. Anyway, Moo Moo is the definition of “you get what you pay for” because yes, their food might be expensive, but the taste and service make up for it, 110%.

We visited Moo Moo recently and honestly found it a bit underwhelming for the price and reputation. We started with the Stone Baked Potato Bread , nice presentation but nothing special. The Bone Marrow Croquettes were the standout of the night, really tasty with the black garlic and smoked eggplant. Unfortunately, the rest of the dishes didn’t quite hit the mark. The Truffle Fries were way too salty, and the Tempura Onion Rings were doughy and lacked seasoning (though the pickled garlic toum that came with it was great). The Leaf Salad with ricotta and pear was just okay. For mains, we ordered two steaks: the F1 Wagyu Rostbiff (MB6+) and the Little Joe’s T-Bone (MB4+). Both were decent in flavour but had no char or crust they felt more like pub steaks than what you’d expect from a high-end steakhouse. The T-bone, in particular, was tough and hard to cut. Drinks were fine, and the complimentary steak tartare was surprisingly good probably one of the better things we had. Sauces that came with the steaks were also pretty average. Overall, a nice venue but the food didn’t live up to the hype. For the price, we expected a much better experience and some real grill flavour on the steaks.

What an amazing experience I had here. I absolutely loved it. The food was top tier and the service was exceptional. The waitstaff explained the steak options in detail, which made choosing a lot more interesting and much easier. What I ordered: F4 Wagyu Rib/Scotch Fillet MB 8–9+ (H) Rib on Bone (OP Rib) MB 3+ (H) Fries, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed greens, and crème brûlée. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. I genuinely can’t wait to come back. If you’re on the Gold Coast, this is definitely a must visit spot. Easy 10/10! 🖤

Excellent, the steak was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavourful.. dont let them convince you the rostbiff is chewy. The potatoes were next level, paired perfectly with the bearnaise. My only gripe was with the racket the wildlife were making! Hardly something they can control but good to be aware if you are sitting at an outside table.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely love dining at Moo Moo The Wine Bar + Grill Broadbeach – they never disappoint! The service is always exceptional, and the staff go above and beyond to make every visit special. We came here to celebrate a birthday, and the team made it such a memorable night with their thoughtful touches and genuine hospitality. The food was absolutely divine – fresh, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The prawns were full of flavour, the sides were spot on (crispy potatoes, onion rings, and perfectly cooked greens), and the cocktails were fantastic. But the real highlight was the rib eye on the bone – perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and bursting with flavour. Compliments to the chef for an incredible meal! We finished with the most delicious dessert, and the personalised birthday plate was such a lovely gesture. It really made the celebration feel extra special. Moo Moo’s is truly one of the best dining experiences on the Gold Coast. From start to finish, everything was faultless. Highly recommended – we can’t wait to return!

The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a special night out or a nice dinner with friends. The steaks are cooked to perfection, juicy, tender and full of flavour. I highly recommend pairing your steak with an Argentinian wine; it complements the meat beautifully and really elevates the whole meal. The service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the wine selection is impressive. If you’re looking for a top-quality steakhouse on the Gold Coast, Moo Moo is definitely the place to go!

the best choice for our anniversary dinner. we had heard only good things about moo moo and finally decided to make a booking, and it definitely won’t be the last time! my partner is a chef at a fine dining restaurant so he can be a little hard to please, but he enjoyed every bite. the atmosphere was beautiful, music at the perfect volume so one doesn’t have to shout to have a conversation, and the service was quite good. extensive wine and spirits list, which was much appreciated. also loved the open kitchen and the touch of previous chefs adding their knives to the wall inside. i’ll definitely return and bring family along for the experience next time.

This was my first time trying the Broadbeach location and it was really good. Service was outstanding. Scallops were tasty. Steak was cooked perfectly. Flavour of the Mac and cheese was good although the bacon in it was chewy and raw so l'd avoid that.

Moo Moo is a very popular steakhouse in Gold Coast and Brisbane. I had been wanting to try it out for years but finally made a reservation to go. Parking was quite a bit tough as its in the center of Broadbeach and the atmosphere was different than expected. Upon entering we noticed a bunch of extremely drunk people yelling at the bar. Once we were escorted to the main dining room the music started blasting so loud you could barely hear each other. It was not the setting I expected for a date night. The service and food was all delicious and the steaks were so fantastic I forgot to even take a picture of them! However after our main meals it took forever to get attention of a waitress. It took half an hour to have one come over as we flagged her down and said we had been waiting for a dessert menu. Again she disappeared and after awhile my partner went up to the hostess to ask for it. However it turned out the kitchen was swamped and they were making a surprise dessert for us due to celebrating a special occasion. We were super surprised and thankful but wish we could have at-least been informed there would be a long wait and not just sat there wondering what happened to the service.

This is a great place. Very busy in wine bar and restaurant but really fun. We had brisket for 2 , yum. Wine selection was also tops. Straight to the top of the list!

Great service and food. We started with the Board of lunch meats.. excellent choice. We shared the rump roast for two which was prepared perfectly, our sides included onion rings, potatoes and a nice salad. Our waiter paired the meal with a nice Australian Shiraz. We would definitely would go back!!

Quite possibly the BEST steak I've ever had (and I've eaten a lot of steaks over the years in a lot of locations)! A group of 4 of us started by sharing the special - venison sausages with chocolate sauce, and also the Bang Bang Duck (warm salad). The sausages were delicious, and really tasty, although personally I couldn't imagine eating a whole main course of these as they are really rich. The duck salad was fantastic, great flavours, and the duck super moist, which was shredded at the table in front of us. We opted for the Moo Moo special for 4 people, which includes the steak and a variety of sides and sauces. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, with the most incredible flavour - sauces actually aren't necessary (but nice to have). We shared the hot chocolate brownie for dessert, which was seriously good as the brownies are baked to order and brought still in the pan, piping hot, straight to the table. Again, another rich dish, and one was enough to share for the table. A few reviews mention that Moo Moo's is a bit on the pricey side, but to be honest feel it's pretty good value considering the quality and quantity of the food. Three course dining and a couple of bottles of wine for under $100 per head for some sensational food in a restaurant with great atmosphere seems reasonable to me.

As a vegan, when I get invited to a steak place with barely any vegetarian options and no vegan options I usually dread it. That being said, when I asked the waitress about options she immediately suggested a mushroom risotto. It ended up being a great option. Delicious. Now if only they'd put it on the menu!

Had a great dinner with a friend from work, both of us work in restaurants so we went in with high expectations which most were met. The service was good our waiter Aymeric was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu, he was very attentive without being annoying. The steaks were great not the best I've had especially for the price but they did a pretty decent job. The side dishes were rather disappointing dry and undercooked but over all a good night out. We will definitely go back (when we can afford it)

Although my meals were delightful, I was unimpressed with the service on the particular night. Having been to MooMoos in the past, and experienced a higher level of service, I am not too happy about the time it took to order drinks and to receive table service after being seated. That being said, it was well worth the wait. I'll always be a guest of MooMoos when in need of a nice steak.

Guys the value proposition is simple good food - tick good wine selection - tick good value - tick Lousy service and customer experience - fail Lift your game in the service and experience and you are on your way The length of time for a waiter to look after the needs of the table was just woeful. Seriously the brand is tarnished by the absence of customer service.

Couldn't get served because my one friend had too much to drink but it was my first drink of the night. Sure you can cut him off but don't lose my service too...

Sophisticated atmosphere. Great food. Good service. Priced to match. This is fine dining, Gold Coast style. I enjoyed the calamari entree, especially the sauce. A really unique and refreshing flavour. The barramundi main was perfectly cooked. It just melted in the mouth. Lots to like here.

That's my winner during this stay at Gold Coast. It's difficult to deal with all the booze rules and closed restaurants on a Good Friday. Especially if you would like to have a late night dinner in Gold Coast. This guys were one of few options and they did so well. Stuff was super friendly. They were happy to serve us after 9pm . My aged Angus Steak with Berenaise sauce was perfect and my wife's Barramundi was delicious. Really guys - good effort . Thank you

Omg best steak i have ever eaten. Service was a little slow and they forgot about the kids lemonade. Definitely not kid friendly which is ashame as parents love to enjoy top quality food, kids or no kids. Presentation was amazing.

Very disappointed. The beef carpaccio tasted a bit funny and now I feel a bit sick but the Salsa on top was nice. My 1st streak was was cooked the way I like it but I sent it back as it was tough. The 2nd steak was better but dry and too much charcoal taste for me. Even though I got a new steak I felt I should of gotten a discount for the inconvenience of having to wait for a new 1.

've read a lot of the reviews here and they appear to be mixed. We had the Wagyu beef for two. It was cooked perfectly and very tasty. As for the service, I believe our servers name was Scott. Very knowledgeable and personable guy. Service was great. Food was excellent. Count me in as a fan ;-)

For Australia where everything is overpriced, this steakhouse actually seems reasonable. The beef you get is what you pay for, and the sides are quite well made. Also did not observe the waitstaff being rude. They replaced my wine because a bug fell in it, without complaint, twice.

Pricey, but the best steakhouse on the Coast, better then Brisbane. Rump is recommended between friends.

Not worth the time or money. Sat there and was ignored for 20 minutes and when the food finally came medium came as extremely medium rare even when taken back to be re-cooked. Came back to give it another chance and same issues and service 2nd time around. Will not be returning for a third.

Moo Moo has a great atmosphere and attentive waiters but is sadly let down by overpriced and small servings. On my last visit my tiny $40 steak was way underdone, taken back on the advice of the waiter and returned ten minutes later one third smaller in size! The wine is also very expensive. I really hope they lower their prices to better reflect the quality and serving sizes of the food.

absolutely appauling service! Would not recommend. Came here with the family and we were treated poorly by the staff. Had reserved a spot for a group of people. We were situated outside near the footpath and were told that we needed to be within the confines of a particular boundary due to liquor licensing rules. We fully understood the requirements and complied with the rules. Not two minutes later (as we were greeting other family members) we were ORDERED to take a seat or leave! I completely understand the concerns of the staff in their need to comply with council regulations but the manner and form in which they treated us was NOT ON! Will be following up this complaint with management and strongly urge others to avoid this establishment.
