MOODs boutique hotel, a Design Boutique Hotel Prague, Czech Republic

"The stylish MOODs boutique hotel is quietly situated in the centre of Prague, a 11-minute walk to the Old Town Square, the Charles Bridge or the Wenceslas Square. It offers free WiFi throughout the property and super-king-size Hästens beds. An Apple upgrade is available on demand and offers plenty of films and music. All rooms provide air conditioning and a minibar and a laptop-size safe with a charging plug. The luxurious bed linen and duvets is made of 100 % cotton. Guests can dim the light and change the light colours according to their moods. Free coffee/tea making facilities are also available. Thai massages, foot massages and full-body oil massages can be enjoyed in a relaxation area. Breakfast is served 24 hours per day and the bar is an inviting place to enjoy your favourite glass of selected Czech wine. The Náměstí Republiky Metro Station is 300 metres away, as well as the Palladium shopping centre area. The Dlouhá třída tram stop is also 300 metres away from the MOODs boutique hotel. A shuttle service to and from the airport is offered against a surcharge." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

We stayed here in Dec 24 whilst visiting Prague from England for the xmas markets. Not many of the staff spoke good english despite catering for tourists mostly. The location was good, a 15-20 min walk to the centre of prague. The location is reflected within the price so overall the hotel is good value for money. The room was clean and tidy, modern. I would recommend and visit again

A quirky hotel, convenient location but we had an oddly shaped room. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and always room.

The rooms are amazing, the receptionists are efficient. Really well located in the city centre. Just be careful, the breakfast starts at 7:30, a little bit too late in my opinion

Having stayed at this hotel for a couple days there are some things that are great and some that can definitely be improved. If you dont want to read on further, the easiest way to describe the hotel is that it’s very basic, on everything, about everything. The term “boutique” hotel is definitely in name only, as there is no personal nor unique experience. What wasn’t great: -The rooms are absolutely tiny. The coffee/tea station has two small cups, and no milk for anything. The mattress is nonexistent (see pictures). - The breakfast, not great either, devoid of much variety and all the meats/cheeses are out from early in the morning and not replaced so you can see they go slightly off- evident in how they look + taste. Also, the whole breakfast area is tiny and needs a redesign- no space to move or get anything while someone else is there. Two people max. The best thing about the hotel. The location. Walkable distance to most great amenities and attractions. Overall, I would sadly not recommend this hotel.

The first floor rooms have windows that faces directly into the cafeteria which has glass walls. They assigned us one of these rooms on the first floor. This means our view was watching other guests eat breakfast, and most shocking is that other guests have a full view directly into our room as well! We were really shocked to find out our room is visible from the cafeteria, no privacy! If we knew this was going to be our experience, we would have never booked a stay here. Very disappointed. This hotel fell way below expectations, we don't recommend staying here.

Our experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. The breakfast area was completely inadequate for the number of guests staying at the hotel. It was overcrowded and chaotic, with hardly any space to move, let alone enjoy a meal. On top of this, the selection of food was extremely limited, offering little to no variety, which only added to the dissatisfaction. The condition of the room was unacceptable. Several things were broken, including light switches and lamps that simply didn’t work. The bathroom was equally neglected, with a non-functioning extractor fan. The worst issue by far, however, was the bed. Instead of a proper mattress, there was only a thin mattress topper placed on the bed frame. It was so insubstantial that it felt as though we were sleeping directly on the frame itself, which made for an incredibly uncomfortable and restless night. The most troubling aspect of our stay was a serious safety incident that occurred during the night. At 5 AM, the fire alarm went off, waking everyone in the hotel. Initially, there was no explanation, and guests were left confused and concerned. It was later revealed that the alarm was triggered by an intruder under the influence of drugs or alcohol who had somehow gained access to the premises. Shockingly, no emergency services were called to handle the situation. Instead, the intruder’s family arrived to pick him up, leading to believe he was known to the staff. What made this situation even worse was the hotel’s complete failure to follow basic fire safety procedures. The only staff member on duty that night was a young and inexperienced girl who was left to deal with the situation entirely on her own and there’s no security staff in place. Guests were kept waiting in the lobby for over an hour while the alarm continued to ring, with no clear communication from the staff. When the manager eventually arrived, his primary focus seemed to be on speaking with the intruder’s family rather than addressing the concerns of the guests. When I asked him if the elevator was safe to use, he dismissed my question with a laugh and an unhelpful, "I think no." The following day, instead of a proper acknowledgment of what had happened, guests were given a letter placed in the elevator with a vague explanation and an offer to extend breakfast service until 12 PM. This half-hearted gesture did nothing to address the seriousness of the incident or reassure guests about their safety. In summary, this hotel failed on every level, from the inadequate facilities to the poorly maintained rooms and the shocking lack of professionalism in handling a major safety issue. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly never stay here again.

Great hotel in excellent location. Very clean, breakfast great, staff helpful & friendly. Beds comfortable & modern bathrooms. Only complaint was the temperature in the room was far too high. Other than that would definitely recommend & stay here again.
