Moomin Shop Helsinki Airport Non-Schengen

I don't know why but some items seem to have better price here or just a different line up? The lady on the counter was extremely kind and friendly. I love this place.

Absolutely wonderful little shop! If you love Moomins, this is the perfect place to stop before your flight. The selection is fantastic—everything from cute plush toys and mugs to high-quality books, clothes, and souvenirs you won’t easily find elsewhere. The staff were really friendly and helped me pick out gifts to bring home. Prices are reasonable considering it’s at the airport, and the displays are so beautifully arranged it feels like stepping into a tiny Moominvalley. Highly recommended for fans of all ages! Worth mentioning that obviously, since the shop is at the airport, the prices are much higher than in regular stores.

A beautiful shop for that last minute gift for family & friends! Prices were very reasonable considering this is an airport location. Love, love, love Moomins!!

Overpriced middle-quality products of low importance/usability. Even the closed box package did not stop this rubber-plastic magnet from glueing apart. Cheap material sold for 8€. In comparison a small 180ml mug is 25€. The only thing you pay for is the brand.

Obviously it’s a fun shop to browse as a fan of Moomin. But if you are leaving the airport on your trip to Finland, I highly recommend buying your Moomin products outside the airport. The prices here are much more expensive than at regular shops. For example, this Moomin tea was sold here for 9.90€, but I saw the same one in the grocery store for about half that price.

The coolest store, filled with loads of Moomin stuff! From stickers and mugs to baby apparel, home decor, snacks and so much more! If only the prices were tiny bit lower..

The Asian lady in front desk on Oct 19 2025 afternoon has horrible attitude and lied about tax refund! There is no tax refund! Horrible!

A small but really nicely arranged mooning store. The fifth star comes from the lovely collection of actual Moomin books! Good and friendly service.

This is a cute Moomin Shop in the Helsinki Airport! It's quite large and has a lot of stuff from keychains to plates to pet bowls to pot holders and more. There were even some stuff for sale as well! My friend got this really cute cutting board for about 13 euros which I thought was rather decent. I ended up buying this cute Moomin charm for 4 Euros since I love enamel charms! They have a stamp rally where if you take their stamp card and visit another Moomin Shop you can get something. I actually visited the Esplanade one a few days ago which is too bad since I would have been able to get whatever their gift was!

Mo' Moomin? No, problem! This is a store that exclusively sells merchandise involving a cartoon in Finland about a happy hippo and an angry dark haired girl. These characters are everywhere in Finland. It's like their national mascot or something. I just don't get the appeal. I searched all over Helsinki for any hippos in their natural habitat, but didn't see any. Maybe they're hiding under all that snow and ice. They're supposed to come from the town of Moominvalley. This store has quite a variety of things with the hippo stamped all over it. The hippo might be smiling, or laughing, where the angry little girl just scowls. This seems to be stuff for children- things like kids clothes, or toys, but you can still get nice stationary with the hippo on it. I guess if you're hungry hungry for hippos, this would be a good place to go. I'm totally clueless about this cartoon, but it's bigger than The Simpsons. They offer the DVDs here that should surely explain it, but they're all in Finnish. The clerks seem to be nice, and are attentive here. The store is clean, and located in the T2 of the HEL Airport in Vantaa. They offer a bunch of souvenirs of Finland, but they're all Moomin. This seems to be part of the Finnish national identity. If you're flying from Helsinki (HEL) to Moominvalley (MOO), this is the place to get stocked up. They have all your Moomin travel accessory needs covered.

Get your fill of Moomin here! From mugs and magnets to plush toys of Moomin characters, you can get most of the Moomin stuff here. However, don't expect to find the Iittala and other designer stuff here. It is a small shop and it covers most of the basics, but note more than the basics. Majority of the books and all the DVDs are in Finnish. I did not find anything in English here. I was disappointed - along with the scores of Japanese tourists - to find only Finnish items. That's ok, I will look on Amazon. As much as I loathe Disney, I feel that this shop could use some help from Disney folks in terms of marketing and producing products that have an international appeal. Nevertheless, I will still visit the Moomin Shop every time I am in Helsinki. I still prefer to visit Stockmann or the Iittala showroom for my Moomin mugs.
