Outstanding. Moon Korean bbq is the freshest in the city, every item I tried was absolutely amazing. The server was lovely and very helpful at making suggestions. The side dishes were wonderful as well!

I came here recently, and everything was pretty good. We got the Seafood Pancake, Bibimbap, and Beef Bulgogi Soup. The portions were decent for the price. It was really unique that every table had a tablet built into the stand, functioning both as a menu and as a way to call the server over. Overall, I recommend this place for a quick lunch if you're in a party of fewer than 4

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for 4 years now, it’s hands down my favourite spot in Calgary for Korean bbq! I came in today to order one of my usuals- beef brisket combo with miso soup and a few things were different, and I also came to find out the business was under new ownership.. The kimchi is just not the same as it was before, it’s definitely not homemade as it once was.. tastes more like it was bought through a wholesale producer, not as fresh.. This place used to have the best kimchi in the city.. My potatoes arrived cold and in very small pieces, where as before they came in bite size pieces and always hot/fresh to order. The barbecue sauce it comes with now also seems watered down and doesn’t have as much flavour as it did beforehand. My miso soup was also half the size, and a bit more concentrated/ saltier than usual for the same price :/ On the upside, the new staff are very attentive and friendly! Service is still excellent and quick! Please bring back some of the old recipes!!

Outstanding food and great service. The food is authentic and brought to the table in a timely manner. The pricing is super fair and I am very happy with the food. You order off this iPad and it's very intuitive and I appreciate that the servers don't have to interrupt my meal a dozen times to ask how my food is and if I need anything.

Google
Moon Korean BBQ really blew me away! The beef bulgogi soup is a must try. I ordered a beef platter to share with co-workers and it was delicious. There were some great cuts of beef that were very flavourful. The veggies and the sushi rice was great as well! I’d come back anytime.

Google
Went for dinner with my family, and EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious, with very generous portions. We ordered the Tteokboki Hot Pot, Moon Special with LA Kalbi, and the Kimchi Jjigae, and everything was wonderful. As Korean-Americans from LA, we eat at a lot of Korean restaurants, and we would highly recommend this place, for the great food and friendly service, all for a very reasonable price.

Yelp
The Bulgogi hot pot for two was delicious and portion size was adequate. You order via the touchscreen at the table. Service was a bit slow because they were very busy on a Friday night around supper and a Chinese lantern festival was going on 2 blocks away. Not the quietest place for dinner but you won't have to yell to hear each other, either. Pleasant, utilitarian interior.

Yelp
Fun place for a group dinner. We got the moon special and the crispy chicken, which was plenty for our group of 5. The servers were attentive, clearing plates and refilling water without any prompting. The food came out hot at steady intervals and was delicious. Loved the seafood pancakes, japchae, and crispy chicken. The tteokbokki was tasty, but pretty spicy for our group. Would go again.

Yelp
I can't think of a better way to enjoy our first meal in Calgary. After getting up at 4:00 a.m. to get to the airport, this lunch felt as comforting as home-cooking. Service was wonderful and the food tasted authentic. Especially with the high inflation rate in the States, this meal was a bargain.

Yelp
This place would be in my heavy rotation if I lived in Calgary. We were prepared for authentic, delicious Korean food, and Moon delivers there. But we were shocked that the service was kind and didn't rush our dinner! Absolutely recommend. If you've never done bbq you may want to ask for help cutting meets with scissors (attn white folks).

Yelp
They were busy for Sunday dinner service when we came in. We were seated right away, the service remained excellent for the rest of the meal. We got the moon special and it is a lot of food. So delicious! I opted for the spicy bulgogi, kiwi salad dressing, and plain chicken. So delicious! Definitely deserving of a 5 star rating and more. Would love to visit again before our stay in Calgary ends.

Yelp
I've tried a lot of diff dishes from this restaurant and as expected, the best is their bbq meat. My family enjoyed the bibimbap, everything else on the menu is alright, the cold noodles and rose tteokbokki wasn't for me, but their side dishes and extras are super yummy! I would recommend their moon special while its a little bit pricy, it fills you up and lets you try a little bit of everything. The service is very good! I also enjoyed the privacy between the tables, good late night date spot.

Yelp
Authentic Korean food!! (Korean-American here) Bibimbap in stone pot (dolsot) and spicy beef soup (yukaejang) was delicious!!!! Was a very welcomed meal after touring around Calgary. Cozy restaurant with sweet decor, felt like I was in a kdrama scene. Definitely will come back if I'm in town again!

Yelp
We ordered take out from Moon Korean BBQ after doing a quick search for something nearby. We ordered 2 of the beef short rib meals, 1 soy garlic chicken, 1 japchae and 1 large kimchi (which wasn't very large) which my husband cooked and mixed with the beef short ribs to give more flavour. The food was ok, not the best and not the worst that we have tried. The japchae was ok, I wish it had more shitake mushrooms. The chicken was delicious and crispy, good flavour. The beef short ribs just fell a little short when we first tried them. So my husband decided to cook them with the kimchi and then they were really yummy! I thought the price was a little steep for the amount of food. The price in my picture was before I added the second beef ribs meal. Total was around $90-$95. The service was very friendly tho!!!

Yelp
I love this place. The prices are reasonable. They have really good lunch deals. I came here with a colleague for lunch. I got the garlic soy beef short rib bento box for $15.50. It was an awesome deal. Great portion size. It was super delicious as well. The bento box came with vegetable tempura, rice, beef short ribs, bean spouts, sweet potatoes and a side of kimchi. Moon just opened this year replacing a Vietnamese restaurant. It is located in Chinatown. Free parking can be found on the side of the building. I highly recommend coming here. Summing up everything: Delicious Authentic Korean Restaurant!

They're service was amazing and everybody was so kind and loving. The food tasted was better than imagination. The atmosphere was perfect, I would 100% come again.

Yelp
Not really a place I recommend for AYCE. I took my friend here from Toronto to try this korean BBQ and this was a place I never tried before. The AYCE menu was quite low budget and poor quality photos my friend was even questioning like ?? This stuff did not look appetizing at all. Their washroom had no heat whatsoever and we came here during the deep freeze -30 the most uncomfortable feeling is sitting on a cold toilet seat! Our food arrived quite slow we waited around 20-30 mins for our food to just start arriving one at a time. Their green onion pancake has minimal green onion and very doughy. Their bbq meat had decent flavour but the meat didn't taste fresh. Their crispy fried chicken was juicy and tender and very crispy on the outside but had no seasoning at all. The only things we liked were: Beef udon soup - well seasoned beef and good broth Side dishes especially the potatos - one of the best crispy sweet potatos. Pork bone soup - not too spicy but just enough and really amazing flavour. Would definitely not recommend this place though in the future because we definitely did not get our $30 worth of all you can eat. There were way too many things that weren't tasty.

Yelp
This was a very pleasant surprise. Despite the positive reviews we didn't except it to be this good. Every dish we ordered tasted great. The all you can eat option allowed us to try many dishes. The veggies, the beef, the pork, all were made fresh and savoury. The fried chicken was to die for.

Yelp
Nice find! Great bulgogi bento boxes for lunch. Very reasonable. Servers are friendly. Very clean and safe. Their bibimbap is delicious. Overall, a fine dining experience in a very relaxed atmosphere. Lots of booths. I go there often. Their chicken for lunch is mouth watering. Never a wait around lunch hour.

Yelp
For Korean all-you-can-eat, this place is solid. For $23.99 a person, everyone at our table was happy. Highlights include vegetarian japae noodles, pork ribs, spicy chicken bogogi, and beef udon soup. Normally I love the side dishes, but here it was okay. Not enough seasoning in the side dishes and some of the food. This place is great for an introduction to Korean food or if you don't like spicy hot food. All the hot food is freshly prepared for you. You can taste the difference with the BBQ meats. I'd return but order from the a la carte menu.

Yelp
When you enter there is strong fragrance of meat. I reserved for a table of two. It was amazing, we ordered the pork barbecue. We originally came in for an eat-all-you-can menu but unfortunately they didn't have that as an option anymore. We recommend the sushi rice when given the option. We came back another time with a few friends. Service is perfect and the portions are just right! Definitely recommend for an amazing time and amazing quality meat!

Yelp
Hands down the best all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant in Calgary and possibly in Canada. I've tried most AYCE places in Calgary as well as in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal, and nothing beats this place! The place feels like a nice cafe, everyone is very friendly, they cook everything for you, and the food is delicious. I would recommend doing the deluxe, which includes pork belly, all sorts of beef, and fried chicken!

Dawn C.

Yelp
I really love Korean food and I have had the Ox Soup, so good, especially good for my digestion. I also enjoyed the bipbimbap very much. The dumplings were crispy and delicious. The bean thread noodles with beef were scrumptious! The kimchi was perfect!

Yelp
My friends and I go here a lot bc the service, food and atmosphere reminds me of Korea! The male server is professional and remembers our order every time we dine!

Yelp
The food was very good and the atmosphere was quite relaxing. They have an extensive menu with lots of different styles to choose from. The service was great, they are extremely friendly and happy to help to explain the dishes. I had their house special fried chicken dinner which had 6 different selections on the plate and was more than enough food for a meal. The prices are exceptionally reasonable, you would have to eat a lot to get your bill over $20.00 per person, unless you order beer or wine.

Yelp
This place is great if you want a variety of Korean food in one meal. I had the deluxe AYCE menu for dinner this weekend (29 per person). As well as Korean bbq, I enjoyed that you could also order a variety of side dishes / small entrees as part of the AYCE menu, as I am not a big fan of copious amounts of meat. This includes bibimbap and tteokbokki, and I personally enjoyed the spicy buckwheat noodles (bibimyeon). The taste and quality of the meat and food is good (not amazing but as good as you can expect at an AYCE). I hope to check out their set menu too in the future. The service was very attentive as well. I would recommend others try this place out, and it's diverse menu sets it apart from other Korean BBQ in the city
