Words cannot describe this place nor do pictures do it justice. It is the most beautiful relaxing place I stayed in yet in Namibia! From the moment you enter the property you feel special.Fantastic location with the most beautiful view and friendliest people and great service ever. Will definitely come back!

The food and view are amazing, those are the only good things about this place. It's described as "ultra luxury", however there was nothing luxurious about this place. We booked this lodge for 2 nights at the end of June. We were meant to hike the dunes, canyon, and Dead Vlei the day after our first night. We got no sleep at all due to the flapping tent windows of our tent. The velcro at the top of the windows is so worn that it doesn't hold the windows closed and when the wind blows through, it sounds like someone is banging on the sides of the tent. We missed the departure for our activities that morning because we were so tired. When we asked the manager if there was anything they could do about the windows, he was extremely condescending and tried to explain the changing of the seasons and the wind that comes with it. We told him the wind was not the problem, but the tent sides/windows that don't function properly. He continued to rudely explain the wind (and even said "well there was going to be wind on the dunes")...he even raised his voice at me at one point. We were so disappointed that we left and booked another lodge for that night (without receiving a discount or refund, it was that bad, we had to leave). I would avoid this place at all costs.

There is nothing luxury about this lodge. The food was good and the view was beautiful, but that's all this place has going for it. ||We were booked here for two nights, but we left after one night and paid for a new lodge because our experience was so bad. The flaps on the tents do not close properly. They are meant to zip up the sides and velcro across the top, but the velcro does not hold ESPECIALLY in the wind. We were there on a very windy night and it sounded like someone was banging on our tent all night long. We got no sleep until we decided to deal with the cold air instead of the wind and opened all of our tent windows. ||When we asked the staff in the morning about this, they said that all of the tents are the same and refused to try and help fix the issue by trying a different tent. They offered no solutions at all and made it sound like guests complain about this to them all the time. ||When the manager on duty spoke to us, he was incredibly rude and condescending. He told us that the wind is the problem and they are not responsible for the wind. We told him that the velcro doesn't hold on the tent windows, causing them to bang and make noise, this was the problem. He continued to explain that the season was changing and that it is windy...he even said "well there will be wind on the sand dunes" when we explained that we were upset because we weren't able to hike the dunes that morning for lack of sleep. He even started to raise his voice at me at one point.||We went down the road and booked a new lodge for the second night (despite getting no refund, it was that bad).

Had an amazing stay, the food and cold beer was 10/10. Rooms are a bit far from the reception/restaurant area but atleast you can get in your steps for the day :-D

If you are looking for your “I had a farm in Africa moment”, look no further. What a peaceful place, quiet, secluded. Perfect. ||We arrived just before sunset and Josephine showed us to our rooms. All staff very helpful and speak great English.||After a stunning sunset and cocktails on the verandah, we had a sumptuous dinner of butternut soup, oryx steak and veggies and a delicious fruit dessert. Everything was so tasty yet easy to digest, perfect for the traveler. Breakfast was equally good! ||Our luxury tent… well it blew me away. Very clean and luxurious, hot water, fresh towels etc. The night was quite warm so we could leave the tent flaps open and so we could enjoy the spectacular views of stars and mountains from every single window, even from the shower overlooking this vast moonlit valley! Highly appreciated! It was a truly magical experience. I sat in my comfy bed, hot water bottle and all and stared into the starry night of this tranquil, dream valley. I thought it a pity to fall asleep, I just could not get enough of it. This was definitely a highlight for us in Namibia. Highly recommended!

The view from the rooms is simply breathtaking, and it’s a cute idea with the open tents. Food was amazing and they were so kind to us ! However, I’d suggest to add some more comfortable chairs in the common area (outside), where you can relax while enjoying the view. Showers might require some remodeling.

This lodge is so so beautiful 😍 when I read something about an unfriendly manager or a ''youth hostel'' I am getting so said, because it's one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. The staff is so friendly and the view is just amazing. I will come back.

One of the hidden gems. I found them through the Walk-In Tours last minute booking options and what a find it was. Located just 50km’s from Soussusvlei park, the remote stay offers all of the best perks you’d want - quietness, great views, spacious and great rooms, hot showers, small pool etc. I really loved every minute. The walls are tent like with air blowing through them but even now, when its going towards the winter season, it was 20 degrees or a bit lower at night and totally fine to sleep there. The views for the sunset were amazing. It has breakfast and dinner included, has okay wifi and great people working there - Hannes is managing the place well enough. Apparently took 2 years to build the complex as all of the structures needed to be hand made and fixed as its high on the mountain. If you’re planning to visit the park, the first gates open at sunrise at 7.15am so to drive there it takes approx 45min so could leave at 6.30am or later and still have time to go and climb 2 dunes before the midday heat get to you
