MOON - Move Ortigia Out of Normality

I'm not Vegan. Sometimes I just want to please my company. Very good dishes, indeed, out of normality. Good wine suggestions. Smoking is not allowed even at the outdoor tables. The only negative is the time that elapses from the time of ordering to the time the dish arrives at the table.

I’ve eaten at hundreds of restaurants around the world and most almost always have some small faults to them, but Moon was by far and away the epitome of a fantastic dining experience. The staff were so friendly and professional, were chatty and seemed interested in the place where they works and where they lived. The price was very good for us and the quality of food matched it. The vegan cheeses I was hesitant to get because so many places just make it utterly disgusting with no flavour or texture, so when I got the stracciatella I was worried it would be bad, but it blew me and my partner away by how amazing it was. All the dishes were full of flavour, with each part of your body and mind enjoying them, in fact the chocolate fainting dessert was something out of this world. The atmosphere felt laid back but also really well considered, playful and even quite smart which is a hard thing to achieve in itself. Also, the beautiful feral cats 🐈‍⬛ I would come back to Ortigia just for this place! Thanks so much. ❤️

The food here was absolutely top-notch! We tried Spaghetti Carbonara and Masoor dal - it was a delightful surprise! Warm, hearty and a perfect fusion of comfort and flavor. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was great too. Highly recommend!

We always look for a Vegan restaurant on our trips. MOON offered refreshing and innovative entree selections with uber fresh ingredients and delightful presentations. We learned that these were due to the owner Mela’s creativity and dedication to her craft. The atmosphere was elegantly chic and all staff were friendly and helpful. We went back twice we loved it so much! A must try on anyone’s visit to the island of Ortigia!

It was a lovely vegan restaurant. ☺️ The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was super friendly. They all spoke English very well and there’s an English translation on the menu. Especially the Carbonara was to die for!! They also make their own cheese, so be sure to try them as one of your starters! 😍
