MOON - Move Ortigia Out of Normality

Really delicious!! Amazing vibes and super friendly staff, too. We felt very welcomed. For a starter we got the sushi which tasted just like regular sushi and was well prepared. We had the hummus which was very tasty and a perfect portion. We also tried the carbonara. The sauce was so creamy and flavorful and the tofu pieces for the “meat” were almost unbelievable in the best way! Had a cannolo and cappuccino to finish and were extremely happy. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner!!

Exceptional food. Each course better than the last with desert to die for. Excellent wine choices and cocktails. Very good and friendly staff. Can't fault. Might be a bit expensive but worth every penny. Can't praise enough.

5 stars isn’t enough. My wife is vegan and usually has to make huge comprimises in almost every restaurant we visit. Well not here. The food at Moon isn’t just well prepared it’s almost a science. Every dish we had ( 3 return visits in 10 days) was fantastic. The flavours were out of this world. Every person that served us knew every dish and could explain the technique and ingredients used to make it. All the staff were friendly and laughing. The Shushi I had three times and it was fantastic each time. We thought the atmosphere during lunch was great but in the evening it goes to a different level. The only down side they don’t have a restaurant in England.

Carbonara was exceptional, all the food was. This is a must try in Ortigia - wish we had gone twice! Would recommend trying the after party cocktail

I'm not Vegan. Sometimes I just want to please my company. Very good dishes, indeed, out of normality. Good wine suggestions. Smoking is not allowed even at the outdoor tables. The only negative is the time that elapses from the time of ordering to the time the dish arrives at the table.

Want somerhing else than pure Italian food? Goto Moon! Delicous vegan food in cozy environment. After the first dinner we decided to go back an other day! BTW: Nice staff!!

I’ve eaten at hundreds of restaurants around the world and most almost always have some small faults to them, but Moon was by far and away the epitome of a fantastic dining experience. The staff were so friendly and professional, were chatty and seemed interested in the place where they works and where they lived. The price was very good for us and the quality of food matched it. The vegan cheeses I was hesitant to get because so many places just make it utterly disgusting with no flavour or texture, so when I got the stracciatella I was worried it would be bad, but it blew me and my partner away by how amazing it was. All the dishes were full of flavour, with each part of your body and mind enjoying them, in fact the chocolate fainting dessert was something out of this world. The atmosphere felt laid back but also really well considered, playful and even quite smart which is a hard thing to achieve in itself. Also, the beautiful feral cats 🐈‍⬛ I would come back to Ortigia just for this place! Thanks so much. ❤️

Such an exquisite place! So much better than your average vegetarian diner. Presentation, taste, service, knowledge, friendliness - they have it all. We walked up for dinner one night and didn't have to wait, but booked ahead and came back for a second visit. They remembered us and we felt very looked after. Loved the house speciality 'carbonara', which was so light and not heavy at all - and the pistachio 'tiramisu' was a must! Bravo, MOON - setting the standard...
