Moon Palace Jamaica All Inclusive Resort

Loved this resort! Incredibly friendly service, great amenities and nice rooms with comfy beds. Beach is great for younger kids and lounging but too small for those who like a long walk by the ocean. There are several pools, bars (including a great piano bar and sports bar) and fun areas for kids of all ages. Main buffet is really nice and accommodating to big groups right down to singles. Restaurants are also included in the price and have good food but were a bit slow. There is quality nightly entertainment and we found the resort to be fairly rocking for such a family friendly place. The flip side of that is that it was sometimes loud at night with music heard in our rooms till 10:30. The resort is right in Ocho Rios so you can walk into the town without needing a ride. It is also very close to Dunn’s Falls. It took us almost 2 hours to get there from Montego Bay, but the resort was well worth the drive.

We stayed at Moon Palace Jamaica in early December 2025 as a family with two kids, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The arrival was smooth, the transfer from Montego Bay was included and well organized, and once we entered the resort, everything felt calm, safe, and beautifully maintained. Even though Jamaica had recently gone through a hurricane, the hotel itself was in perfect condition. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. Our room situation was handled with care - we first changed rooms to better suit our kids, and later were upgraded to a Junior Suite with an absolutely stunning view. The food and restaurants exceeded our expectations, the beach is beautiful and peaceful, and there was so much to do for kids - from the kids club to arcade games and evening entertainment. We also used resort credits for excursions, including swimming with dolphins and visiting waterfalls, which were unforgettable experiences. Early December turned out to be a perfect time to visit: great weather, lower prices, and no holiday crowds. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend this resort, especially for families.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at Moon Palace in Ocho Rios from November 17–19, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. I want to give a special thank you to Shelly, Taneish Warren, Lattanya, and Denesha from the Buccaneer Reef restaurant. their service was exceptional. It was my son’s birthday, and they treated him like absolute royalty. Our room was beautifully decorated, and that was a surprise!! they sang for him twice, and he even received a slice of birthday cake. We were not expecting such a thoughtful and heartwarming celebration. This was our first time visiting Moon Palace Ocho Rios by the way. and the hospitality, warmth, and professionalism of the staff made our stay amazing. Thank you to everyone who made our experience so special you truly made us feel welcomed and celebrated. We will definitely return! Very very soon

From the moment I arrived I could tell that my stay would be wonderful. I was greeted with a cold towel and welcome drink by courteous members of staff. The property was clean and based on the layout I found it easy to get around. They had a wide variety of food and everything I had was flavourful. The room I booked was spacious and had an amazing view not to mention the 24/7 room service which had generous portions. There is also a game lounge and great nightly entertainment. Above all the staff served with pride and made me feel special during my stay.

My review after staying at Moon Palace Jamaica for 7 days. Ride from airport: - Driver was fantastic - It was a long ride from the airport to the resort with traffic, etc. Buffet: 7/10 - There is a good variety of food at all times of the day - They really missed the mark on all the desserts (chocolate doesn’t taste like high quality chocolate, all pastries are flavorless) - The ice cream was homemade and delicious - No yogurt for breakfast Gondola and Pier 8: 6/10 - both of these restaurants our food came out cold (we informed management and they were very nice about it) - DO NOT order the steak at Gondola, it is purely a huge piece of fat and grit Coffee/24-7 pastry counter: - coffee was delicious - They were out of almost all desserts, truffles, etc. the whole time we were there - I understand out of stocks, but maybe the desserts shouldn’t be in the display case still…? Rooms - room were very clean, layout similar to hotel rooms - The water went out in our room for about an hour and we were given no explanation as to what happened Staff - All of the staff was fantastic - So friendly, informative, and pleasant to be around!

I've had such an amazing time at this hotel. The entertainment staff Iyanla, Paris, and Brianna were amazing and just full of vibes, accommodating and aware! Nushaun (Pier 8, I'm sorry if I miss spell your name) was amazing at Pier 8. Andre the late night bartender and Shernett, Michael (Micheal), Caillou during the day took care of us at the swim up bar. D who cleaned our room was so warm. I love moon palace and I have now found a home away from home!

Very positive experience overall. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and, although small, the location featured everything you would want from an all-inclusive. Food has been just ok, but not worse than comparable family friendly all-inclusives in Jamaica. The booking included a $750 resort credit, which felt more like a scam honestly once we tried to use it. Too many restrictions and we aren’t even going to be able to use any of it except the $150 allowed for the spa, which I assume they do because everyone would use it for that. We did the “not a timeshare” session. They would like to keep you for the whole morning, but they were not rude when we left after the 90 minutes. The program is honestly one of the worst values we’ve been offered though. Surprised anyone actually purchases it, but it seems like a lot of people do. Overall, we would recommend the experience and come back despite the few downsides.

Excellent resort for families. Lots to do and see. Very clean and very safe. We were concerned about whether the hotel had been impacted by the tragic hurricane, and the hotel was beautiful very well maintained no issues. We lost power one day, but it was quickly recovered and the staff was very apologetic.
