As a south east asian, it is alright to conclude that Gothenburg is lucky to have such authentic Thai food here. The tomyam soup is always the dish that can validate a good Thai food from the bad. The soup even without spicy is very flavourful and rich! However the price is killing me, this price in Bangkok itself can feed a table of 4 with seafood included. But maybe it is affordable here in Sweden. I walked into this store after travelling Europe for a month. Would say it is my best meal despite the price. Won't come again, cause I will go Bangkok instead! Keep up the good work!

Delicious & filling Thai food. Very generous with the portions of rice. A little hard to get the waiter’s attention but they were friendly. Would come to eat here again!

We found this place by accident. It was late, everything was closed and Moon was still open, so we drop in. Unfortunately I don't have food photos (my phone was uncharged), but it was delicious and fresh made. The atmosphere is amazing, service is great and the design of the place is bringing you to Thailand. Loved it and recommend the place if you want to eat Thai food and you are in Gothenburg.

I come here to wait for my wife who was at a beauty salon to have som time for herself because is coming her birthday, the man who is in charge and take the people for the dir I think he is 🇹🇷 Turk very rude man exaggerated Turk man ! I have been in many places in this town and as you know guys all the time I let you know where is good to go and where isn’t good …. I was thinking to drink something and stay little bit time 30-40 min max till the time she finished at the salon and then to ask for a table and eat someting together with her , but this come and ask me for 10 in 10 min when she come and I stay at the bar by the way I didn’t take any table to sit on…. I never ever in my life see something like him never! My option is that never visit this place ! When you let youre person thoughts and tell the truth because of that man …. I will never want to come here again! I will try to contact the owner of this place and I will ask him if he thinks that this man who him hired here he beihaivor is ok ?! I been in Thailand people are extremely extremely welcoming but In here this man isn’t 0.1% welcoming anyone with pleasure just rush people and make them fell uncomfortable. I’m extremely sorry but I will take this far because this isn’t ok ! Is full of dust all the cables are around the drinks I never see a place full of extra dust with so many fake flowers around! I will make a complaint where I should to make it because this isn’t ok he is on a building where people are stay up and if something bad happens for some cables everyone can get on fire and is ok ! PLS PLEASE DONT GO HERE !

The food is delicious and the inside atmosphere is really something. Unfortunately no indoor seating available without a booking. The person who looks like they own the place is not the most kind waiter I’ve seen. However the rest of the staff is amazingly kind and helping. There are a lot of vegetarian or vegan options since everything can be made both vegan or vegetarian (just ask your waiter). In terms of spices you can expect a little bit more than your usual Swedish version of Asian food.

The food was great and tasty my favorite was number 29 its a bit expensive and small portions but unique experience

This was my favourite restaurant during my 2 weeks at the World Masters Athletics competition. Great food, great service, unlimited rice. What more can you ask for? OK, indoor seating can be a challenge, but we ate outside. One time I went alone, and the "mean looking owner" (read other reviews) was very kind and accommodated me to eat at the bar counter. If/when I go back to Gothenburg, I will go back.

BOOK YOUR RESERVATION IN ADVANCE we were lucky they had a "bar table " for us the restaurant is almost always full the food was great and especially the atmosphere For people who get dizzy or anxious from blinking lights and tight spaces, be aware it can be little to much, but overall, this was the best food and place we have visited so far

I had a shrimp glass noodle dish which was sweet and properly spicy. The ambiance of the place was spot on and exceptionally designed. I loved it.

Nice place for Thai food in Gothenburg main avenue area. The place can be a bit overwhelming at first as it is really decorated loudly with very intimate table settings and lot of decor and lighting but somehow it works in favor of creating nice ambience to enjoy the food! Not really suitable for a very large group (more than 7-8 ppl) if you can't find a bigger booth to fit everyone, as it is cramped and always full. The food is great and the overall service is pretty fast.

I was a cold traveller seeking good food and warmth. I got it and more. I had the prawn soup (half moon spice). It wasn't too coconut-y but had lime leaves, mushrooms and all the yummy Thai spices. Service was excellent and worth the wait on a busy Thursday evening. The ambiance was welcoming and I wished I was eating in instead of a take away. I can't wait to return.

I heard about this place from some locals when we were discussing cool restaurants, and me and my friends decided to check it out. I should note that it is important to make a reservation ahead of time, even on weeknights, as this place is very popular. The interior of this restaurant is absolutely unreal. Everything is very colorful. there are bamboo chairs and benches, beads and tapestries hang from the walls, the bar is a repainted Volkswagen bus... Beachy oriental meets psychedelic, with a reggae background. And it somehow still works. My boyfriend and I arrived before our friends, and tried to get a table. (We were unaware that one of our friends had made a reservation). The hostess scanned through their reservations, made some notes, and told us that if we ate in an hour and a half timespan, she could seat us. She was very nice about us not having a reservation (I was surprised to hear that wasn't the case in another review). When we sat at the table we texted our friends and one of them said he had made a reservation. We told the hostess and she gladly re-sat us at our assigned(?) table. Once our friends arrived, our orders were taken pretty quickly. The waiter brought out our drinks quickly, and while we did have to wait about 20 minutes for the food, it was well worth the wait. My boyfriend and I ordered their regular chicken fried rice (with a 1/4 moon level of spiciness), and their beef in red curry sauce (with a full moon level of spiciness). Our friends warned us that full moon spiciness would be way to hot but YOLO haha. We're from California, so we figured we could handle anything the Swedes threw our way. When the food arrived I was really excited to see how spicy the food would be. The rice had some red peppers cooked into it, but was hardly spicy. The beef should be more exciting I thought. Unfortunately it wasn't very spicy either. Don't get me wrong: the food was absolutely delicious. I would eat here every day if i could afford it. It just wasn't as spicy as expected. (Keep in mind that us Californians have a pretty high tolerance for spiciness), so what is not spicy for us, could be very spicy for you. The meal portions are not very big here. The fried rice was not enough for my (athlete/eats-a-lot) boyfriend, but lucky for him, my beef + steamed rice was too much for me, so he finished my portion and it was just the right amount of food for both of us. Overall, including 2 meals + drinks, our dinner cost us about 450 sek (about $50). This place is on the more expensive side, but, like I said, absolutely worth it. I would definitely come here again, and recommend for anyone visiting Gothenburg to come here!

At 9.30 pm, I was on the hunt for Thai food in Gothenburg and found this place on google map. I walked from central station and it said 15min-walk. I felt like 30 mins cause I was so hungry ~ anyway, I saw out front that they have outside tables that looked like you are at the beach in Pattaya and I was curious about the inside tables. Walked in and it was amazing! These stuff they put inside were like pretty unique seating tables. I sat across from their main bar and ordered tom yum kroong and moo hot pan. Took about 15 mins and food was on the table! Come and check this spot out!!

I came here after seeing the good reviews. It seemed promising as it was off the main street, and I tend to think that these restaurants are often times the gems. I ordered a chicken dish, and it came out like more of a soup with all the coconut sauce which was way too sweet. The flavor was mediocre, but the meal left me with a stomach ache. I don't think I can stomach thai food for a while after this one unfortunately.

I really like this type of places, they have gone all out with the interior decorations and created a nice atmosphere inside the restaurant. It seems like it is a popular restaurant and it would probably be good to make a reservation if you're planning to make a visit. When we arrived we were first told that they didn't have any seats, but they were really helpful and took another look around just to make sure and we actually got a table in just a couple of minutes. The restaurant is divided into many smaller sections and rooms so it didn't feel crowded or noisy inside. The menu had everything you would expect from a thai restaurant with prices starting from 139sek. Almost everything could be adapted to a vegan or vegetarian meal. The meal was filling and tasted great. Some of the meals could be made into different levels of spicy and even though I'd normally encourage people to try spicy food I'd might stay away from the highest level of spicy if you're not used to it.

First of all: tipping in Sweden is strictly optional. Went here a party of four on a Monday night. The food took one hour to get and the service was mediocre at most. I did like the food but portions were small. As we pay I got a snide remark about not tipping, I found it very rude.

Just as their website advertises, English welcome! Vegan welcome! From the get-go you can expect this to be a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere restaurant. As soon as you step through the double doors, you're hit with an explosion of everything Thai and exotic. Multicolored lights, signs, rickshaws, baubles on the wall and ceiling; even the seating arrangement is different, with benches on a high platform and tables below. The staff is really friendly, but really laid back. My husband has multiple allergens, and when we were telling them to our waiter he was so nonchalant and waved them off that we nervously accepted that he understood (without fully believing it). It also took forever for the waiter to come back and visit our table. We had a vegan dish with rice and tofu, and it was mediocre, at best. If multiple people at your table order dishes with rice, they serve one big bowl of rice that everyone shares from. The dish was 3/4 spicy but not spicy at all, and without taste, and the portion sizes are SMALL.

My favorite place to take friends visiting in town! The drinks are amazing and the food is delicious. I always get the tempura fried squid and prawns and the sauce that comes with it is to DIE for!!! The interior is so cool and there's so much to look at, don't forget to check out the restrooms! It's truly like travelling to a rainforest in there. Super friendly and laid-back staff! I highly reccomend booking a table. I'd recomend this place to anyone, but in my oppinion this is the best place for a first date or a family get-together

This place is over rated. We normally don't care about the service but the food. Our experience with this place is not very pleasant. we were waiting for our food for more than 40 minutes and when the food finally came they were all cold, it took them 40 minutes to serve us cold food, if it's good I would not mind but they were not even that good. unbelievable, we did not even make a fuss because our kids were cold since we were sitting outside, I don't recommend this place.

On the last day of my trip, we decide to find a local restaurant with good review. unfortunately we didn't know the credit card machine was down at that night in Entire city, You can only pay with the cash. We didn't have much local currency at our last day of the trip, so we decide to pay with US dollar and Restaurant accept it also going to give us Swedish krona change back. We tried to figure out the currency rate with our phone calculator, and still stay in the restaurant, But the owner is so rude, thought we might not pay the bill, so he tried to grab our money for 3 times from my Hand!!! I was very very surprised, and feel so offended from his action. Food was good, but the service is too bad, just like a nightmare.

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! RESERVATION ONLY! ALL OTHERS DISREGARDED! I found out about this restaurant through a different website yesterday and decided that it would be a really cool place to try out with my boyfriend. I saw the "reserve a table" option, but figured that places shouldn't be extremely busy on a Thursday and, if it was, I wouldn't mind waiting a little while for a table. However, when we got there, there was a long line of upset people. I thought they already put their name on a list and were waiting for a table, so I moved to the front to give the host my name. After waiting 15 minutes for him to even acknowledge me, he asked if I had a reservation, which I did not. He didn't explain anything to me except to let other people through and he proceeded with the others who had arrived after. I really wanted to try this place out as it had good reviews, but I waited for OVER AN HOUR and still didn't even get acknowledged. I then realized that he was placing walk-ins at the bar, in hopes of eventually getting a table. They were forgotten too and the bar was PACKED. I saw people walk in and get seated within the 30 seconds of arriving because they made a reservation, but all others were COMPLETELY disregarded. What HORRIBLE service. If you do not accept walk-in customers, PUT THAT ON EVERY SITE THAT YOUR RESTAURANT IS LISTED ON. PUT THAT AT THE ENTRANCE OF YOUR RESTAURANT. This host (some guy in glasses with poor english and swedish), did NOT give anyone a waiting time. He didn't even take the names of those waiting on a list. All he did was move on to those with a reservation. He should have been CONSIDERATE enough to tell us walk-in customers that the wait is at least going to be well over 2 hours and that seating without reservation is IMPOSSIBLE. I saw MANY people walk out because of his LACK of hosting skills. Please do your restaurant a favor and hire a host who knows what the hell they're doing.

What happend? I just returned to my favorite Thai restaurant and it lost it all. Food is no longer fantastic and personal is clueless to what this place is. They must have changed management and personal. It now feels like a "Svenne Banan" place. Please read below what this place used to be in my old review. Best Thai experience outside of Thailand. Including everything. Music, lighting, tables, bar. Even the menues are authentic and crappy, personnel are playful and happy, service fluctuates between lighting fast and almost non existing. Everything ads up to the full Thai atmosphere. And then comes the food. Anybody that has ever had a great Thai meal in Thailand would agree that the meals here are some of the best that they ever had. Tip. If you can't handle strong food. Don't ask for spicy.

Pretty disappointing actually. The gentleman who booked the tables was great and accommodating after a couple unsuccessful attempts to walk in (it was packed each time). So we made a reservation and were excited, given the reviews we'd read. The atmosphere is outstanding. Very eclectic - in a good way. Reggae music w/ Thai food and it somehow works. Comfortable. But the food was just not very good. Average Thai food, at best. And our server wasn't much better. Hate to rate a whole wait staff based on one waiter, but the one we got was not great. A little surly and disinterested. Doubt I'd give it another shot.

This restaurant basically lives on its gimmick - lots of colored lights, a tuc tuc, bamboo, plastic plants, island music, and all sorts of junk hanging everywhere. I like the atmosphere, friendly service, but it ends there. We waited 40 minutes for our table even though we had booked. After another 40 minutes we finally got our food (and the place wasn't even packed). Portions are small, taste is meh. Don't bother, if you want good thai food there are better places in town. NO HAPPY ENDING!

Highs and lows. Soup was a high. Delicious, flavorful and fresh tasting. Chicken and beef main dishes...low. Service was hugely impacted by the restaurant's other service...catering. As a result, we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our meal. Drinks we ordered...took 45 minutes. Water was never refilled, etc., etc.

Amazing and spicy papaya salad, coconut milk soup needed more spice-- just ask, they are accommodating! The kitschy interior is so much fun- an ice break from the open cafe spaces of the Avenue. You can make reservations!

The interior is fancy and if you like it or not is a very individual choice. The printed menus would need an upgrade they are worn and hard to read. However the food is delicious and can be recommended. I will come again.
