Moon Valley Campground

We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Moon Valley Camp - we spent a night in the dome and the views were spectacular. The dome itself was immaculate and well constructed. Beautifully designed site with a great fire pit area. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating. Hiking, breweries, wineries, farms and shopping are so close - the location is great.

BEST camping trip!! We stayed for 2 nights and everything was perfect! We loved the scenery, ambient sounds, and the wildlife surrounding us We stayed in Heavens Landing which was gorgeous and very clean! During our stay we got to do the stairway to heaven and vernon boardwalk both were great and close to camp ground. Everything in the description fit our expectations, it was great!

Fantastic experience from booking to checkout. Can’t decide who loved it more, the adults, the kids, or the doggie. Sites are well cared for and very close to the trails. It’s become a yearly tradition for us - perfect blend of wilderness, relaxation, & all the amenities that make camping fun / painless.

Wow. I cannot give enough praise to Moon Valley for creating the best camping experience We’ve ever had. I rented the Hilltop Hideaway for my Husband’s 40th birthday weekend. This campsite was the PERFECT place to enjoy a relaxing weekend hiking and exploring nature while feeling secluded in a magical landscape. The correspondence from the team was prompt and friendly, which was encouraging to see before we even got to the campground. But the true star of the show was the campground itself. Impeccably arranged both outside the tent and in — and full of small touches and details (solar-powered string lights, a generator with outlets for charging devices if needed, bedside tables, a space heater, Adirondack chairs both on the front porch and at fireside) — the grounds really displayed an intention to give us the feel of being in nature while also delighting in the creature comforts that are often absent when sleeping in the woods. The team provided thorough hiking maps, documentation and information about everything from nearby shopping to QR codes to make purchasing firewood easy and worry-free. We will absolutely be returning to enjoy Moon Valley campground in the not-so-distant future. Thanks again for everything!!

🌲 Hands-down the best camping trip we’ve ever had. I brought my 7-year-old and 3-year-old to Moon Valley hoping to pass along a love for the outdoors — and this place delivered way beyond expectations. My 7-year-old learned how to build a fire and read trail maps. My 3-year-old explored every inch of the place like it was her personal jungle. And here’s the kicker: my wife, who is not a camper, actually loved it. She said she’d come back — and that’s saying a lot. The sites are clean, well laid out, and peaceful. Trails are nearby and easy for kids, but still beautiful enough for the adults to enjoy. Dominic was exceptional, giving us directions and assisting in anything we needed. It honestly felt like we had our own little slice of nature. We came home tired, happy, and already planning our return. If you’re even thinking about camping here — do it. You won’t regret it!

I truly loved our stay! We stayed in the “Hilltop Hideaway” and it was beautiful. The view is stunning as well as the privacy of the overall site was pleasant. Moon Valley is close to several nearby attractions like the Downtown Warwick, Warwick Drive-In Theatre, several hikes (Wawayanda State park and Stairway to Heaven— all in which are graciously marked out through extensive documents in the folder Moon Valley left for us), lots of restaurants and farmers markets. The actual tent is beautiful and well maintained, it was clean, and had the property amenities. The camp keeper, Dominic, was friendly, communicative and very hospitable. (lol we even had goats visit us right by our site) Highly highly recommend to couples, families and even as a solo trip!

What a terrific stay. Hilltop Hideaway and Heavenly Landing are comfortable campsites close enough for couples traveling together to enjoy without sacrificing privacy. The views are stunning, and the canvas tents are comfortable and weather-tight. Camp cooking is a breeze thanks to the picnic bench/cupboard with countertop combination. There’s a lot to do in the area. Domenic is a great host, always available to answer questions. We look forward to returning in the future.

What a magical place! We had an amazing time at Hilltop Hideaway as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young kids). The bed was very comfortable and the views stunning. Dominic was very helpful and super responsive. The location is perfect with great hiking accessible on the property. We look forward to coming again and trying the other campsites.
