This grocery and food store is just marvelous in its collection and quality of products. Their organic produce is so fresh. The grocery items are unique and have great variety. You can get fresh almond or peanut or cashew nuts butter. You can get lentils, seeds, and grains per pound. The herbal tea variety or meds or essential oils are great here. The staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The sandwich and soup counter is great. They also have breakfast burritos and tamales. Many vegetarian and vegan options are available for those who love to cook.

Whenever we travel we mostly cook our meals because we have a hard time finding healthy organic options. Moonflower is an amazing store. It has a lot of options to not only make your own meals but, they also have daily precooked and prepared food options. Sandwiches, burritos, salads, soups, pastas, hummus, prepared meals and more. They also changed them daily so there are different options. A bonus; they offer free filtered water. see pictures attached.

We wanted to get some food to go. I was concerned the butter chicken in all those spices maybe too much heat for me so I asked the gentleman in the kitchen and he offered us a sample. Needless to say that’s what I got and it was delicious and packed full of flavors. That man was very helpful and kind. I also bought a honeycrip apple for later and it was juicy and refreshing. We came back the next day and I got their freshly made chicken salad and it too was great. Great place for on the go eats and a great grocery store.

I recently visited Moonflower Community Cooperative, and I must say, it's a charming little store that embodies a holistic and natural approach to health and wellness. The variety of herbs and natural supplements they offer is impressive, catering to a wide range of needs and preferences. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a pleasant place to explore. Most of the staff were friendly and eager to help, creating a welcoming environment for customers. However, I did encounter an older Asian gentleman who was unfortunately not as pleasant. When I inquired about the restroom, his response was quite rude, which was disappointing given the otherwise positive vibe of the store. In addition to their extensive selection of herbs and supplements, they also have a kitchen that serves food, adding another layer to the experience. Overall, despite the hiccup with one staff member, I would recommend Moonflower Community Cooperative for anyone looking for natural health products in a cozy setting.

Great place for fresh organic produce and food. If you're vegan, visit this place. You will get most of what you need for your trip. I wish they had some more hot food options in the deli. I checked it out at 6:30 and I went back there at 7 pm, everything was gone! Wish I could have sampled something. Nice to have in Moab!

This was such an unexpected gem in the area! After two weeks traveling through southern Utah and eating less fresh than we normally do, it was so nice to restock on healthy items while we were visiting and for our continued travels! I also loved the cafe in the back - they have 3 fresh soups daily and a hot lunch plate item that they rotate through! I was impressed that their prices were reasonable and not jacked up because they’re in a remote area. Even the organic produce was decently priced! Also at the front they had a box for supplies, like a little free library but free clothes and shoes for people to leave or take as needed. If I was a local, I’d frequent here often!

Wonderful experience here. I stopped in to find out if Moab had anywhere to drop off compostables. They pointed us to the Youth Garden Project. This is, I think, the first and only organic market in Moab, maybe in all of Utah. It is a small store with TONS of product. And they have a daily lunch menu, with vegan and not, that you can see and order online. Lots of pre-made lunch items too if you are hitting any of the hundred of trails in the area.

Great place in Moab for health food items. It has bulk nuts, dried fruits, fresh produce and quality meats along with hot food items to take on a hike. For a small store it has a huge variety of items. It was right next to our hotel so we came by often to stock up on healthy options. The cashiers were friendly and reminded me that they don't have bags but you can repurpose one of their boxes to carry your groceries if needed. They also had a bin out front where people placed items they no longer needed that are free for people to pick through which is a great idea.

Such an awesome natural foods market-- can't wait to return next time we are in Moab. Neatly organized, peaceful & their deli-prepared foods section is just delicious. Try the peanut butter/chocolate mousse!! Kombucha on tap was a first for me to see, and I loved their huge variety of teas and mixes available. Beyond just a market, they have built a community where people look out for each other & learn new skills together. Whether you live in the area or are just passing by, I highly recommend you come in and support this cool place.

Hopped in for a few snacks before I left Moab, I was so bummed I hadn't been in earlier on our trip. Their organic, fresh snacks are lovely. I've never had such fresh, delicious dried mango. They also have a wide variety of vegan jerky, which is always fun. The deli looked delicious! I was also in awe of all their teas and natural bath products. Very cool store.

Well stocked store with excellent high quality grocery items. If you're in search of organic, allergy friendly, speciality things, Moonflower is the place to shop. I bought some tasty treats there a couple of days ago and have been enjoying them on my travels. The chia pudding is fantastic, sweetened with organic cherries and strawberries, and made with coconut milk. The choc pb vegan mousse (tofu base) was also stellar, and protein packed. Healthy meal stand-ins that taste like dessert! I also picked up some chicken from the deli and made a sandwich using that and a nub of fresh ciabatta. So good! They have prepared salads and sandwiches ready to go, as well as a small hot bar. I saw tamales and soups there the other day. A la carte ice cream is also sold, and lots of vegan/nondairy options.

We recently stopped here for a resupply on our road trip and just LOVED this store. This grocery spot catered to specialty diets like gluten-free, organic, vegan/vegetarian. The staff was easygoing and everything was Covid-minded and hygienic - the pastries were individually wrapped, masks encouraged and everything was clean - which overall made for a pleasant shopping experience. The selection here is amazing. Lots of hard to find items even for us in Denver, and the prices are pretty good too by comparison. Things like gochujang, tinned sardines, yellow curry bouillon (my love) - just an equally awesome selection for home use or backpacking and camping. We definitely took mental notes to stop by again in the summer. Definitely don't dismiss the prepared foods. I got a blondie for a road trip snack that had pistachios, cranberries and cardamom - it was perfect. And some locally made kombucha by the ounce too - the Lavender Grapefruit was particularly delicious.

What an amazing natural food store. After specializing in exercise science and nutrition I had come to find out just how many major manufactures put chemicals and preservatives in our foods. These chemicals and preservatives cause a wide array of health problems like cancer, bone disease, GI distress, endocrine disruption etc. Let me say, if I had the funding to open a moonflower cooperative in every town, I would in an instant. Not only do they provide a wide array of unprocessed, whole food ingredient options, but they also support local growers. The bakery in the back offers freshly made salads, breads and baked goods. The fresh herb and tea area could absolutely destroy 1/2 of the pharmaceutical industry and they have kombucha on tap from a local brewer just a few blocks away. Great service, great sustainable options and a great place to stop on your trip in Moab.

While we were in Moab. We were on a canyoneering trip and was bought sandwiches from moonflower. The sandwich was delicious that we decided to visit this place and grab a couple of sandwiches. Not a lot of place you can get a sandwich for 7 bucks in Moab. The service was awesome, the store had a very welcoming feel to it. If you're in the area, give this place a try.

This is the perfect stop before your hike. They've got sandwiches, soups, pastries, and all the snacks you could need. While it has the standard fruits and vegetables of other grocery stores, you can't beat the collection of flours, drinks, bars, etc. You can also refill your containers if you're cutting down on plastic waste.

This is a great place! Selection is outstanding, staff are very friendly and helpful. We got sandwiches for later in the day and couldn't have been more pleased. Selection of teas, ingredients to cook with of make your own teas.

Great health food store with quality local finds like coffee beans, bread, and meat. The parking is not pretty in high season which keeps me from going on busy days. The deli is supposed to be good tho I've never tried it.

Great store with a good hot bar and snacks. Got sweet potato enchiladas from the hot bar, a brownie, and cheese and garlic, sesame sticks for snacking. If you want hot bar, you need to get there early. Their hot dishes and soups sell out! They even have a "free"box at the front door for the public to give or take unwanted items (e.g. clothes, household stuff etc) . Very community oriented.

What a breath of fresh air among a town that just didn't feel like it had good vibes. The first thing my friend and I see upon walking in: two massive fridges full of tons and tons of kombucha. Automatic five stars for me. They had your usual national brands but tons of locally made booch from surrounding areas. I was in booch heaven. They have a wide variety of health-conscious products such as supplements, oils, natural medicines, and more. Along with that, they have tons of food for those health-conscious individuals. I wish I lived here so I could support this amazing business every day. In addition to that, one of the employees was giving out free samples of a delicious salad, vegan salad, and chocolate. Perfect way to try out new products. Would highly recommend stopping here for lunch, things to prepare dinner, or for snacks.

Great place to get good food while out exploring moab. They have lots of natural foods, vegan food, fresh baked and home made grab n go foods too. If you can't decide on food, come here and grab a few things to make something over the camp fire

So thankful to have had this place to go to for groceries, sandwiches and snacks while in Moab for the week. A very cute little co-op with lots of natural groceries, products and fresh produce along with a prepared food and bakery section (our favorite). I got the tofurkey and cheese sandwich here for lunch twice during our stay and the husband also got some non-vegan sandwiches. Perfect convenient lunch for on the go between adventures. I also got the vegan banana chocolate chip muffin and the vegan muffin (which had peaches and raspberries), both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. The husband got a salted chocolate cookie which he said was very rich and delicious.

This wonderful CoOp market and deli looks inviting to enter from the outside and is even more special once in the door for the super friendly helpful staff, sparkling space and great selection. Conveniently located in downtown Moab, about a block off the main drag; the side parallels the lot for the Homewood Suites. Given we eat a largely natural foods diet and were staying at Homewood, Moonflower was our "go to" for good eats like fresh organic fruit (some local), beverages, bin items from a nice selection and delicious prepared foods from their "scratch kitchen" deli. Highly recommended! THE DELI... is particularly convenient for take out and it also has a bright, cozy seating area inside with a handful of tables with chairs and local art on the walls. From the CoOp's web site they say this about the deli section: "Eat healthy on the go...Salads, sandwiches, soups, and a variety of side salads make for great prepared meals...Our deli staff is highly aware of specialized diets.  We do our best to accommodate every need. " The salads of all kinds were fantabulously fresh (mixed green or quinoa with peanut sauce or pasta salads as examples). They also had soups, from vegan options like carrot ginger to omnivore friendly chicken Thai, and dishes like vegan tamales or vegetarian mac n cheese in hot containers and multiple varieties of house made hummus. They had grab and go sandwiches made with vegan, vegetarian or ominivore fillings and options on gluten free bread as well as with gluten bread. Prices were really reasonable, from roughly $3.50 to $8.00 per item. OTHER THINGS... a good sized selection for a store of this size of really fresh produce and bulk items too plus ranch raised, natural animal proteins, like local lamb, in a freezer section. Also, a really impressive assortment of packaged goods, health products like supplements, and home supplies too or if you need some for the travel cooler. IF I COULD WAVE A MAGIC WAND... it would be for them to have fresh baked bread to take along. They did have brown and serve baguettes near the deli, but while the suite we stayed in had a nice kitchenette, it lacked an oven. I imagine if they baked up some of those baguettes they'd find visitors might buy them for take along.. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING; Angled on street parking in the front. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level in the door from sidewalk, all on one floor, ample aisle space, seating in deli is standard height, accessible loo. City of Moab didn't have accessible parking in front but there are a couple of spots in the adjacent Homewood Suites lot.

Excellent selection of diverse products. Lots of good cheeses, salads, pasta, fruit, and vegetables. Good selection of to-go items. Indian foods are available, many in sealed bags and in cans, if I recall correctly. Wow! Moon Flower has vegan chocolate mousse. And ... It's delicious! I bought buckwheat yakisoba noodles to make the dish at home. I understand that the most authentic yakisoba is made with buckwheat noodles. I live about two hours driving distance from Moab. It's worth the drive to shop at Moon Flower.

Shout out to whoever made the GF pear cheddar scones. Literally the best scone I've ever had. God bless you

We were pleasantly surprised to find a Health Foods CO Op in Moab. Nice selection of Organic foods!

Summers here and the time is right to open Viva Moab! Picked up fantastic pre-made Greek salad and refilled vitamins that we're running on empty. What a fantastic market to pick up dinner after a day at the open state parks!

i like the co-op business model so when I saw there was a co-op in Moab, I was thrilled to check it out. It's a health food store and I found items that I haven't had before and I love trying new things so the thrill was stacking. AND THEN! They have prepared/packaged foods or locally made bakery items in the back.. (with plenty of them being vegan). I was exploding with joy and to even taste what I had bought and liked it? Great joy. Love their Mac Salad.. came back another day and it was discounted (i guess when they're on the last day(s?) they'll discount to move the product..idk).. Fan of that mac salad though.. Earl Grey Scone.. Rice Krispie Treat.. I loved it. I'll return every time i'm in Moab.

I was visiting three national parks that week in Utah. Utah is beautiful! I saw the beehive shaped route signs all over and wondered to myself. I asked a Utah resident and was told Utah is a bee state and making honey is popular. So I had to get local honey and this is where I ended up. Nice local food store. A great place to buy local goods.

This place is amazing! Better than any coop in Seattle or the SF Bay Area (WAY better than Whole Foods). They have amazing vegan deli selection (get the kale salads) and their vegan baked goods are delicious (the scones and apple cinnamon bread ). I'll be dreaming of this place from home.

This grocery store was a welcome respite on our family vacation. We typically eat gluten-free and sometimes vegan but always fresh and organic. This place had everything we typically snack on and more. My kids were ecstatic!! We stocked up and will for sure remember and recommend this cute little coop to friends.

Love this place. When in Moab make sure to stop in for some tasty snacks and bites to eat. Sure they have a lot of your typical health/natural grocers items, but I come for the deli! Tons of fresh made food and a lot of it is wrapped up and ready to throw in a pack. I had a spring roll here 10 years ago that was so good I still think about it. Love this place! All kinds of unique formulas and remedies, as well as the basic stock of items. Janis was extremely helpful in the facial department and everyone else as well. So glad we found it!

Kombucha on tap. Not much else to say. It's got a lot of cool foods. Wish my town had one of these!

If you go to the moonflower store you have to hike the moon flower trail! They have gender neutral bathrooms, and organic EVERYTHING from food to shampoo.

Great selection! Excellent for road trip snacks and meals! We packed a bunch of food for exploring the nearby national parks.

Yummy to go lunch options if you are a tourist and setting out on a hike or bike. I would highly recommend the Thai peanut quinoa salad and the curry tofu!

Great stop for all your hiking and sacking needs! Stopped in on day 1 in Moab on the hope of finding some lunch options for hiking. Head to the back right corner and you'll find a great deli area with pre-made sandwiches, salads, pastas, etc. From what I could tell nothing made-to-order, but didn't matter since all the pre-made stuff was awesome! Recommend the turkey sandwich on ciabatta and the quinoa salad... hit the spot big time on the trail! We came back on day 2 to grab more trail goodies!

AMAZING Co-op! So many great vegan options, friendly staff, and green products. A staff member helped me pick out a lotion for my dry skin and it has become a favorite of mine. They also have kombucha on tap and you can bring you own jars for bulk items to cut down on plastic use

We stopped in to get a fast dinner and breakfast and were super happy with their grab and go selection in the back. Well stocked at 5pm on a Sunday with a great selection of house made breads, salads, soups, and other hot foods. They also have a great produce department. We'll be back anytime we need supplies in Moab!

Great place for some grab and go snacks and breakfast/lunch options. Their moonflower scones are amazing for breakfast and their curry wraps are great for lunch.

I loved this place when we visited. They have great local produce, and they have lots of delicious natural options, with many unique products. I thought I already reviewed this wonderful place, but ooops. Very nice place to visit to get some snacks while visiting the parks, or getting food to prepare for meals.

We got to-go stuff for dinner at Canyonlands and liked it so much we grabbed stuff for lunch the next day! They have a wide variety of grab and go vegetarian and vegan options as well as a few meat items (mostly cold though they have a couple of soups and a couple of hot bar items, though the latter was out both times we visited). Everything was tasty, fresh, healthy, and reasonably priced for to-go items. Other than that it's a little hippie grocery store, similar to a much smaller Whole Foods.

I'm only giving 5 stars to this place because you can't find a lot of the things they have here anywhere else. This place is not for someone who is on a budget, so I come here too get a few things, and then leave in shock by how much I just spent.

I've visited a fair share of coops throughout my travels and this place is a real gem! I lived off their grab-n-go section during my time in Moab and their prepared food made my hikes so much more enjoyable and satisfying. They're very thoughtful in the ingredients they use in their prepared meals and I'm grateful to them for that. I especially enjoy their baked goods! I love the variety they offered in creativity and all the sweets were low sugar (my preference). If all of this is of interest to you, I highly recommend stopping by this place to fill your belly with :)

We came here because all the reviews on this place said tons of vegan and gluten free options. We got so excited when we saw a Caesar salad with vegan dressing only to find out that it was also covered in cheese! Who makes a Caesar salad with vegan dressing and then dumps cheese on it!? Not only was I super disappointed but also incredibly confused as to why they wouldn't just put vegan cheese on it as well? Utah is weird.. we ended up with salads that were mostly cherry tomatoes and it was fine. I wouldn't say that this place has "a ton" of vegan options as the other reviews say but it was better than nothing. They had a lot of snacky stuff but as far as pre-made food goes, the pickings were slim.

I worked in Moab for 6 months and I am not exaggerating when I say Moonflower was my favorite part about living there. I'm dairy free, so I was nervous about what food options I would be able to find in a smaller town, but Moonflower has endless options for any dietary need. I L. O. V. E. the deli case! They have ready-made meals that they make in house. Some of their greatest hits include: 1. The vegan chocolate mousse. This was a blessing and a curse (but mostly a blessing) because I would eat this for every single meal if I could. It's so silky and chocolatey and I tell myself the tofu has protein so it deserves to be a diet main staple haha. 2. The tuna salad and wraps are aweeeesome! The only downside is they aren't always there, because again, I would eat one every day. 3. The fresh ciabatta loaf. So good. I would straight up eat half on the drive home. Those are just the top 3, but do yourself a favor. Go here as often as you can.
