It’s best to arrive right when the gates open to secure a good spot. We arrived an hour before the showing and could only find a decent spot under a tree. Once night falls, bats settle in the tree above, and there’s a chance of droppings, which can be hard to notice in the dark. Best to bring a picnic chair/pillow.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Moonlight Cinema in Centennial Park, Sydney! 🌙🎬 If you're looking for an unforgettable outdoor movie experience, this is the place to be. Every time I visit, they have an amazing selection of films – from the latest blockbusters to beloved classics, there’s always something for everyone. The variety is spot on, and it’s the perfect way to watch a movie under the stars. The team at Moonlight Cinema is also incredible! Super friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions. Their customer service truly adds to the overall charm of the event. One thing I really appreciate is how clean and well-maintained the whole venue is. The grass areas are tidy, and the seating arrangements are comfy – no need to worry about sitting in the dirt! Plus, the bathrooms are conveniently located and always clean, which is such a bonus for a big outdoor event like this. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun, and perfect for a night out with friends, family, or even a romantic date. I can’t recommend Moonlight Cinema enough – it’s a must-do in Sydney for any movie lover!

Had a lovely experience watching a movie on some bean bags. It just seems every year there is a change in how the cinema is run (blankets, how to order, services etc). However, all the staff have been extremely nice and helpful.

A really enjoyable experience as the ambience was great in addition to us going on an evening with the ideal weather. I would recommend getting there early so that you get your pick of the best seating areas and to bring your own food though there are a few food options, albeit limited, available.

Arrive early to get a spot and carpark. The seats are comfortable, we booked gold class. It is also dog friendly too. The food arrives fast. There's different food trucks there and the drinks list is average. I suggest taking your own snacks and drinks, Also bring blanket, it gets cold. There's plenty of space and seats for you to choose from.

Spent $150 on 3 tickets, movie was cancelled due to adverse weather. We are visiting and cannot swap tickets for another date. Inflexible policy when it comes to when they cancel due to weather. Just be aware if you book and are not local. Money gone down the drain. Would not buy tickets in advance or at all!

Had an amazing experience - we got upgraded to VIP upon arriving and had a great time with the movie and the free drinks and snacks we got! One tip is to avoid putting your food on the ground as the ants will crawl inside them as that’s what happened to two of our snack boxes.

Great space! Defined recommend it if you like open space and picnics. Lots of food and drinks options (relatively cheap) but I suggest to bring your own food at least but it’s BYO so.. have fun!
