We stayed two nights at the Moonlight Hotel in Hue. The hotel is fine. The mattresses are a bit hard. The pool is small. Upon check-in, I had the unpleasant surprise of being shown a photo of a makeup-stained hand towel. They told me they had to charge me a fee. One receptionist said 30k dong, and the other said 50k (€2.70). We told them that doesn't happen anywhere, and they told us they couldn't use that towel for another hotel. We asked if they didn't wash towels between guests. They insisted on charging that price, and when I commented that it was more than the towel costs, they replied that I could take it if I wanted. At this point, I got extremely angry. I could take the dirty towel if I wanted! I asked to speak to a manager, and they showed me a guy standing next to me. He told me it was hotel policy. I told them I'd give them a negative review, and then they started talking about refunding my money. The problem wasn't the money. It was the poor treatment and the senseless way they charge you for a dirty towel and then offer to take it away for you. It's outrageous, we won't be returning. |Advice for guests : get clean, showered, and makeup-free to this hotel Otherwise, you'll face a penalty and the scolding attitude of the front desk staff.
