Moonlight Resort

Very good experience! If you let them know in advance, they will pick you up from the pier and take you to the hotel. The check in process is very fast, and the rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures. If you book the included breakfast you’ll be able to choose one dish from the breakfast menu and as many drinks as you want. The outside area by the beach is very nice with lots of sun beds, and big hanging double beds in the shadow (each of them has a fan). Highly recommend :)

We booked our doom, ocean view, it was a amazing, arrived early in the morning at 9am, i think the staff was busy so they forgot to pick us up from the pier, had to walk but it was fineee! The room is amazing, you’ll never get enough of the view!!!! Comes with free breakfast as well. the only concerns i had was the lizard in my rooms, or gecko u called. They were tons of them waiting at the front door, casue there was a crack for it to pass through, other than that the room just needs a little renovation then would look perfect again! (please get rids of the geckos😭) The breakfast was awesome!!! We had our breakfast literally infront of the ocean!! it’s not a buffet kinda thing breakfast but it was still good! I walked through all the resort shore, i think personally for me, Moonlight has the best shore, it’s clear and clean!! they also got kayak for us as well and bonus the paddle board!!! Honestly can never get enough of the view from the room, 100% would go back again 🥰

Stayed here for 3 nights and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The setting itself is lovely, right on the beach and around a 10 minute walk away from restaurants/mini market etc. The “pools” don’t seem like they’re cleaned at all. The rooms are nice and big but in the deluxe rooms the bathroom is outside which we didn’t personally like. First night we checked in the tv wasn’t working , was told to wait till the day after for it to be sorted. We were also given one tea bag and sweetener between two of us ? The day after there was water leaking into the room from god knows where- we were told they would move us to another room and to wait 10 minutes and they would come and get us- 40 minutes later we went to reception ourselves and asked what was going on and we’re moved to one of the dome rooms which was lovely. There were however noticeably more mosquitoes in here and a lizard. The breakfast was awful, the eggs were undercooked and the coffee was weak. We didn’t eat here any other time due to the breakfast being so bad and the price of the food at the hotel. Fried rice was around $10- you can get this down the beach for half the price. The hotel itself was always empty and there was no atmosphere here at all. We would have rated higher but for the price we paid we expected more, we thought we would have a little luxury after 8 weeks of travelling but that wasn’t what we got.

Got a free upgrade due to us having to walk all the way down the beach to the resort as there was a mix up with getting picked up. Rooms are decent if a little dated but location and all staff were amazing. Shout out to Toby the owner and Pap Pap the local dog. Only downside was the quality of the sea water which was a bit of a disappointment due to lots of building work close by and pollution spilling into the sea ruining the water quality and also lots of rubbish along the beach.

Stayed for 2 nights and could of been more.. All.staff were fantastic. Even helped us get our bags up and down the beach. Beautiful accommodation, funky, comfortable bed with cotton sheets. Funky place around and the breakfast was to menu, so fresh. Island is fantastic loved Lazy Beach, spent the day there.

Dom shaped rooms were specious. They provided towels for beach. Their jacuzzi was surface cleaned daily. However, there was no circulation and looked dirty. We did not know that after getting off speed boat to the island, we had to take a boat to the resort. No one was there. After waiting 15 min, we walked to the nearest resort and asked them to call Moonligth for a boat. They said it would be there in 10 min but took much longer. Although we were there after 2 pm the room wasn’t ready and had to wait a little longer. Beach was clean and quiet.

The resort is a little unique with igloo style huts. Pools were gross and smelly, mould found on pillows, sheets and towels had an old yellow colour to them. Out of the 3 nights we stayed 2 of the nights there were loud parties by different people that went all night long. The lights are left on and shine in the room. The photos shown are older pics, doesn’t look as polished anymore. One of the other couples we met the first day here moved due to the amount of mould and dirtiness of their room.

Cute resort with only about 10 rooms. 10 minute walk to the main area with restaurant options. Rooms are clean and memorable. Good AC and hot water. Super friendly and helpful staff.
