This was without a doubt one of the best experiences of our lives! Booked an evening here (room and dinner) for my partners birthday last year and it was without a doubt the best food I have ever eaten. You’re looked after from the moment you walk in the door and Scott has such an incredible knowledge of Scottish produce. Steph is an incredible chef and also has incredible knowledge when it comes to produce and foraging around the moor. I absolutely loved picking her brain when it comes to ingredients and her creative process. We are thinking of returning again this year it’s that good. If you’re thinking of booking definitely do it! It’s worth every penny and you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I were met by Scott from the Sleeper train and we walked over to the small hotel, which is warm and inviting and so far away from anywhere! We enjoyed walking in the area and always having a cosy home for the night. Scott is so helpful and welcoming. Our breakfasts and evening meals were delicious and set you up for the day - Steph is a great chef! Thanks to you both for a lovely stay, we really enjoyed the remote location. (That is still just a train ride from London)

This restaurant is truly exceptional. |A high-end dining experience and priced accordingly. I would personally compare it to somewhere like the Three Chimneys on Skye.||The quality of the food, the remote location and the friendly service made it somewhere we will definitely return to in future, and likely book a room overnight.||The restaurant has a policy to allow well behaved dogs, which was a welcome aspect and afforded us the opportunity to take our Sheltie to the nearby beach at Loch Laidon.||We would highly recommend the Moor of Rannoch, especially as a venue of choice for a special occasion.||Bravo!!

We were staying nearby so only visited for dinner one evening. What a fabulous menu with a great choice of wines. I could wax lyrical about the menu but that changes daily . It’s on the train line from Glasgow, stop at Rannoch. Make sure you stop off here for one night at least. So many hiking opportunities here …that’s if you need an excuse. Scot and Steph are fantastic hosts serving superb food

This is the second time I've been here, with my husband. It's an amazing restaurant. The food is exquisite. Every appetiser and every course is absolute perfection. The drinks are also amazing. Lovely cocktails. I had two fabulous gins. Everything is produced locally. I think the only thing that may not be is the wine, and that is bought from vineyards that they have been to. Every bottle of wine/gin etc. can be described in detail. The food is locally sourced, or home grown, which makes it all the better I think. I'll be back again!

We love returning to the Moor of Ranoch hotel. Steph and Scott have created something exceptional here. The quality of the hospitality, the personal touches provided and 7 course mixed al-a-carte / tasting menu is to die for. Well worth the journey to the middle of nowhere. Won't wait so long to come back next time.
