"Featuring Polynesian-Asian-French-fusion cuisine, this contemporary-chic beachfront eatery in Maharepa, owned by French-born restaurateur Bruno Jamais, is a sunny spot where you can indulge in some upscale Papeete-meets-Parisdining—maybe paired with a glass of bubbly. Devotees adore dishes such as marinated tuna tartare with wasabi, avocado and fried shallots. A three-course lunch runs about $60 per person (without beverages)."

Significantly overpriced tourist trap!!!! Ordered the Pasta Bolognese and it was more like a soup. As one of the cheapest items on the menu at 3400, I didn’t have high expectations, but it was disappointing nonetheless. Drinks are also ridiculously expensive so I didn’t drink. There are better options but we were in a hurry and it was the closest offering near us at the moment.

We had a fantastic Christmas Eve family dinner. Staff were wonderful. Food was outstanding. We appreciate that they were open around the holidays. The bill came in much higher than I anticipated.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE – RUINED OUR LAST NIGHT IN MOOREA The view might be nice, but everything else was an absolute nightmare. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and were immediately swarmed by bugs — crawling on our legs, into our shirts, and even into our food and drinks. No matter how much we swatted them away, they kept coming. We literally had bugs in our food and water cups. The manager offered to move us to a different table, but the whole restaurant was infested — mosquitoes and termites everywhere. By then, our food and drinks were already contaminated. His excuse? “It happens all over the island” and “it’ll end in 5 minutes.” It went on much longer, and instead of showing any understanding, he was dismissive and extremely disrespectful. When we explained we didn’t want to pay for food full of bugs that we couldn’t even eat, he ignored us. He offered a free dessert instead, but by that point, we just wanted to leave. To make matters worse, the nice table of three next to us tried to cheer us up and even offered to cover our drinks. But when the bill came, the manager charged us for EVERYTHING — including the drinks the other table had already put on their check. When I tried to reason with him, he doubled down, saying we were “the only ones complaining” and continued to make rude comments. Meanwhile, we saw multiple families unable to sit down because of how bad the bugs were, and several people walked out. Even when I finally decided to just pay to end the situation, he continued making disrespectful comments toward us while I was telling him, “just let me pay.” In the end, I just paid to avoid further confrontation and plan to dispute the charge with my hotel/credit card. What was supposed to be a special last night of our honeymoon was completely ruined by this awful experience. Do yourself a favor — RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The owner is rude, the restaurant is bug-infested, and you’ll end up paying full price for food and drinks that you can’t even consume.

My partner and I had a fabulous experience dining at Moorea Beach Cafe by Mr. Bruno Jamais. We started with a Veuve Cliquot toast while watching a beautiful sunset at a lovely table by the water. Each course was delicious - especially the foie gras sushi which was so fabulous, we ordered it twice!! We also enjoyed Greek salad, garlic bread, and Hawaiian pizza. The piece de la resistance - classic crème brûlée and espresso! I strongly recommend this charming cafe as a “must” visit on Moorea. It was also a pleasure to meet the incomparable Bruno Jamais - the visionary behind it all!

The Moorea Beach Café is an absolute gem. The setting and views are nothing short of incredible — the perfect spot to watch the sunset while enjoying dinner with your toes in the sand and the ocean lapping at your feet. The food and service are exceptional, and Bruno, the owner, makes the experience even more special with his warm, welcoming personality. The crispy sushi was truly out of this world (so good I had to come back just to have it again!), and the fresh focaccia bread was another favorite. The Veuve Clicquot Champagne theme throughout the café creates a fun, celebratory vibe that makes every visit feel special.

Well ruined our last night in Moorea, the owner is unhinged and does not have any respect for his customers. We came to this restaurant despite its bad reviews and ended up kicking ourselves. Go anywhere else if you can. Bad (old we think) food, overpriced, long wait times, a ton of bugs, and rude owner/wait staff. Other reviews echo that sentiment. If you have the time and space go to Rudy’s next door. Way better and super nice owner.

Such a lovely dinner from start to end! The owner is very accommodating & the staff is very friendly. The sushi is incredible. My husband and I are here on our honeymoon and have decided to eat here twice. We are going again tomorrow. It’s worth the cost— A+ experience!

Best decision ever to eat here tonight. We’re staying at a 5 star resort and while the food is good, this food blew it out of the water. The sushi and crispy rice sushi were phenomenal. The pork belly on cabbage was also fantastic. This chef really excels in his field. I wish he had more days in town to come try more of his food. The service was also wonderful. I have a food allergy which they handled so carefully. It was also pouring rain yet still crowded with customers, clearly a well known place for its excellent food. The setting is right on the water and has great views which I’m sure are even nicer when it’s not pouring rain though we still loved it!:) The chef’s daughter was helping us too and was so friendly and kind. Highly recommend this place.
