We stayed for 2 nights in the oceanfront bungalow called Bora Bora. We spent lots of time on our private oceanfront deck taking in the sea breezes and enjoying the local birds in the trees surrounding us. The owner, Kevin, and staff person, Josie, are most welcoming. We received a welcome platter and then a departure necklace. Fresh flowers were placed around. We were most happy to just sit there in that beautiful environment. Note: there's no water access here but otherwise this place is perfection! You can order food from their Motu Grill and have it delivered to your oceanfront deck. This is not fancy but budget friendly. It's a short ride to Temae Beach with the coral gardens and great snorkeling.

Located just minutes from the ferry and airport, Moorea Golf Lodge offers lovely, peaceful, pristine bungalows ideal for relaxing. Our bungalow was right on the beach with a view of Tahiti (weather/fog permitting). Kevin and the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating. It was a great home base from which to explore Moorea. The ocean waves lulled us into a peaceful slumber every night and morning walks along the beach was a great way to start each day.

Clean and cozy. beautiful view of the ocean. in the morning we were greeted by whales that came about 50 meters from the beach. Kevin is a great host who helped us with everything. A tip for everyone - rent a car for the duration of your stay on the island. thank you very much and best regards :)

(This is a review of the restaurant as they do not seem to have a separate entry in TripAdvisor)||||Wanting a break from the richness of resort meals, we walked to the Motu Grill for an early dinner. Definitely not a Michelin rated establishment, it nonetheless served our desire for a more basic, homey meal. Worth the walk.

Kevin and the staff at Moorea Golf Lodge we’re nothing short of amazing. The level of attention we received was like a 5 star resort and we definitely recommend staying here - especially at the waterfront bungalow where we woke up to an amazing sunrise on our private deck every morning. Top notch!!

Spend year-end holiday at Bungalow Mangareva - just in few meters away from the beach/coastline. The bungalow had big terrace with great view of Ocean and Tahiti island. It has all the equipment for cooking so we had our own prepared food. Rooms were rather tired but comfortable to sleep in. One of the nicest thing is that you hear the sound of the waves from the room through out the night which is very relaxing and peaceful.

Two bedroom bungalow right on the beach with great sunrise and Tahiti views. The beach is mostly broken coral but then there aren't too many good beaches in French Polynesia, One of the best is on the road into the Lodge. You can't miss it since you must drive slowly on the pothole filled road.||The Lodge advertized a restaurant but it was closed, I think for good. If you stay rent a car because there is nothing close to this place except other homes. It will be cheaper than a taxi. The management it very nice and accommodating when they are around, which is not often.

It's not easy to get there, but worth it. The cottages are good quality, although the beds are rather hard, and one would expect at least some windows to be screened (mosquitos are frequent visitors) - none are. One concern we had after locating the lodge on a map was unfounded. While the runway of Moorea Airport is immediately behind the house, airport noise is not actually an issue. Not many planes anyway, no planes during the night, and most noise cancelled out by the constant roar of the ocean. Unfortunately, this did not apply to barking dogs at night. The owners seemed to have a new puppy, which was not too happy being left outside overnight. Another noise issue was early early morning gardening. During our one week stay, the cottage was serviced once. We needed to ask for extra toilet paper. Great snorkeling 10 minutes to the left, some rather annoying dogs to fend off on the way, though. Swimming off public beach which is a 5 minute car ride away. You need a car to get anywhere, as it is a 10 minute drive down a dirt road to get to your cottage. Saw humpback whales not far from shore.
