For our last night in Darwin we decided to try Moorish. Easily the best food we've had in the Northern Territory. We ordered 8 dishes from the tapas menu, 2 desserts and 2 cocktails. Everything was exquisite! Service was amazing and such a great atmosphere! Highlights from our order were the sweet and sour eggplant and the roast pumpkin with fig and gorgonzola.

Went in last night for my birthday dinner and left very full and very happy. Food was amazing we got the 4 course dinner, everything just tasted scrumptious and even the sangria was a fave for us too. Service was great, my husband actually requested for them to prepare a little surprise birthday dessert for me they were kind enough to actually prepare and even sang happy birthday which I know can be a little bit embarrassing but I really appreciated it. It really made my husband and I very happy and grateful. Special thanks to Zazu(not sure if I spelt it right) but from leading us to our table, serving us throughout and leading the surprise birthday dessert/singing she was just so accommodating and friendly the whole time. Cannot thank you enough for the great dining experience! Will defo come back!

The vanilla crepe and the portobello mushrooms with mashed are a must try when you are there 🥞🍄‍🟫 We had an amazing night, and would love to return !

Dropped in for lunch. Fortunately, it was not too busy at the time and there were tables available though usually you would need a reservation. Opted for the lunch special which includes 3 tapas and a glass of sangria. This is a good way to sample a variety of the tapas on offer. We ordered the sweet potato & leek dip, zucchini & sour cream dip (both come with pita), truffle mac & cheese, tapenade marinated chicken, roast pork belly and the calamari. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, delicious and the portions are more than sufficient to fill you up. The standout dish was definitely the truffle mac & cheese. It is brought straight from the oven to your table and the truffle aroma hits you immediately. You can taste the truffle and porcini mushrooms and is a delight to savour. A definite must try! The staff were friendly and the service was great! If you are visiting Darwin, Moorish should be on your list. We live here so will definitely be back soon.

I am sorry I chose to eat lunch on my own on Valentine’s Day today at this restaurant. I was moved from my table as I was on my own because “after all we are expecting to be very busy today” advised the male Spanish waiter. I moved to another table and noted that the table I was moved from remained vacant. It was suggested I have the lunch time special of 3 Tapas because I was on my own. All the three dishes chosen were served separately some time after the other so each were cold before the next one was served - should be served together. People travelling and eating alone do not need their aloneness repeatedly pointed out to them, we are alone for a reason which may be widowed or divorced and today’s experience due to staff attitudes saddened me. When I asked for my bill I was rudely advised by the Spanish waiter to pay at the counter then the snooty lady at the counter requested a tip! I politely declined.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were glad we had booked at Moorish. Every staff member was friendly, personable and helpful. We had tapas, and each dish was delicious. Our waitress recommended how many dishes to try, and the number was perfect. She was knowledgeable on ingredients and amounts. From marinated olives, lamb strips, African meatballs, jewfish cerviche, roasted figs with goats cheese and more - we enjoyed them all. Dish of the day for us was the bone marrow! Amazing! Dessert was not needed (but we couldn't say no) to the Portuguese tart and the homemade Turkish delight icecream. Other diners - whether couples or larger groups - were all enjoying themselves. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Fantastic tapas. For 34 AUD ( Regularly 30 but I upgraded for the scallops). 3 dishes & sangria I ordered grilled eggplant with garlic and hot chili's, baked feta and seared scallops.

Yelp
Best meal we had in Darwin, and quite possibly in our entire visit to the Top End. So many choices on the tapas menu that were appealing, it was hard to choose. Really enjoyed everything, but even better, they had a nice wine list, pleasant atmosphere, and truly excellent service. We were blown away by how attentive our server was, and the night altogether was truly an evening to remember. Definitely hit Moorish Cafe if you are visiting Darwin. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This place has a great tapas menu - at a great price too! I love Moorish, it's a Darwin classic. I went with a group of about 5 and we were able to try multiple dishes! The garlic prawns were especially delicious, as was the kangaroo. Service was good - however they do not spilt bills which is a bit difficult for something like shares tapas. Anyway we used our Entertainment Book and got 25% off so that was great! Definitely recommend this restaurant, I think they also do full meals as well as tapas?

Yelp
I love Moorish Cafe! I've been here several times, and I've never been disappointed. I had the lunch special with sangria, which was excellent. Make sure you go with a friend so you can try several different tapas.

Yelp
Spectacular service each and every time -Even if there is an issue the staff are professional and amazing! Skip mains and just order an array of tapas to share ! Unimaginably divine flavors and the fun of all the different foods mean you never go quiet as each pate is a conversation starter. whether its the coconut Jew fish that inspires talk of a recent island holiday or the mushrooms that have you reminiscing grandmothers breakfasts! Its always spot on with a relaxed atmosphere.

Yelp
Lots of good reviews about this place so I though I would give it a crack. A fusion of African style tapas and tagine a. Settled in for some tapas and reasonably priced cocktails. Great prompt service at the start then by 7.30pm the place is packed so the service staff were rushed off their feet. Very small serves for tapas- $8.50 for two tiny African meatballs, $8.50 for a tiny piece or two of pumpkin. Has some interesting flavours but after 6 different tapas there was barely enough food for one adult male let alone two adults. Great busy atmosphere but it says something about the experience when you walk back to the hotel and are having food envy going past other tapas bars.

Yelp
Great potential. Enjoyed our meal here. Coucous was great. One can't go wrong with chorizo. Calamari was so bland even with the sauce it came with. Haloumi bruschetta was great. Prawns were fresh and too lemony - maybe best to mix it with the sauce first and let it stand for a minute. I expected the pork belly to be in a cube-type shaped. It was thin sliced and ok...nothing spectacular even with the sauce. Servings are tiny and it is not cheap. Atmosphere and the wait staff we had were great tho.

Yelp
Enjoyed a light evening meal of sangria and 5 tapas plates between two. The kangaroo was delicious, the Banana Prawns were so fresh and great too. Actually all we had was yum, friendly service and atmosphere.

Yelp
Breakfast at Moorish on a Saturday morning is one of my favorite things to do. The tapas with a big group is great too but read the fine print about the details for your choices and the staff are easily annoyed!
