My wife and I visited the horses at a turn out on the way to the Tetons NP. It was wonderful to see the horses, sometimes close to the fence, at times way out in the field and many people besides myself enjoying being near to these wonderful animals. We will look to stay at the Moose Head Ranch in the future, our RV home has been in the Alpina WY area for about a month now. Over the last 30 days we have spent time at Jenny Lake Cabins, Colter Bay Village Cabins, Float down the Snake River, seeing Hidden Falls - all of very amazing and lots of images to try to savor the experience, but for me the horses is special beyond words, I'm not the only one to visit that thinks this way.

Must visit. Most incredible dude ranch in the most incredible place. I worked here for 3 summers and had the best experience of my life. Recently, my wife and I were lucky enough to go back for our Honeymoon. Everything was just as we remembered and so much more. I love MH with all my heart and Jackson Hole is an unforgettable destination. Great family get-a-way. We can't wait to bring our family back here someday. You simply cannot beat the food and scenery, try it out.. you won't regret it. Highly recommend it!

I am writing to share information about Moose Head Ranch in Wyoming. If you are seeking beauty beyond words, delicious food served in a family-style atmosphere, a staff of the most delightful people, and an environment set up to promote a quiet, peaceful, wholesome family vacation, Moose Head should be a top candidate on any bucket list! The ranch is being run by 3rd generation family members who have learned the art of running the ranch by those before them and have dedicated their efforts to preserving what so many have enjoyed for so long! As for our family, this is our 3rd trip to Moose Head and now with grandchildren. Memories made and savored forever, guaranteed !

Four generations of our family met at the historic and iconic Moose Head Ranch for an incredible week of all-American fun. At the outset, the views are breathtaking. Set nearly at the base of the Grand Tetons, the Ranch's main Lodge, and some cabins look out to the majesty of these mountains. The staff are some of the nicest and most helpful people you'll ever meet. From the moment we step foot on the property, we we treated like family and made to feel at home. The food, served in the main lodge, was always delicious and always just the right proportions. The chef can help accommodate special dietary restrictions. Though the Ranch doesn't have their liquor license, guests can bring their own beer, wine, and spirits, and the Ranch can store them in the Lodge's bar, available at any time. Eddie, the lead wrangler, is truly a professional cowboy, and his staff of young men do a fantastic job at maintaining the horses for the guests enjoyment. Riding is complimentary, and the Ranch has all the gear you might need. Fly fishing lessons are offered by Chris, and he teaches the novice and experienced fishers with ease. The cabins are rustic but quite comfortable. We can't recommend Moose Head Ranch highly enough.

We absolutely loved our stay at Moose Head Ranch this summer! The setting was spectacular, with gorgeous views of the Grand Teton range. The owners and staff were friendly and extremely professional. The food was wonderful, and our cabin was very comfortable. The horseback riding was certainly the highlight. We were able to ride twice daily and each time, we rode a different trail. We frequently encountered bison and elk on our rides and covered varying terrain. The wranglers and horses were excellent. I am running out of superlative adjectives to describe the ranch! We will certainly be back in the future!

This was our family's second time we spent a week at Moosehead and just like the first it was great! From the cabins to the food to the horses and the overall property - just first class all the way. The beauty of the Tetons is a given, but when it is right our your cabin window or door or horse trail - it is a special place indeed. Then there is the staff - EVERYONE is polite and respectful and just nice! Can't wait to do it again in 2021.

Completely amazing place. Wonderful spot to unplug and reconnect to the west. We had children in tow and found the ranch to be super kid-friendly (kids could roam free, horses were well suited, etc.). Would absolutely go again!

To correct the previous reviewer, Moose Head isn't invite only, they simply book a ton of repeat & referral business because the Ranch is that special of a place (so it might seem like it's invite only). All folks are welcome to visit. Their views of the Tetons are truly unbelievable and their horseback riding is top-notch.

Yelp
Been visiting Moose Head for over 10 years, and each time I leave, I start planning on how to return. Lindsay, Chris, & Eddy are gracious hosts, the food is *excellent*, the horseback riding is superb, and their views of the Grand Tetons are magnificent. Here's a pic I grabbed one morning when the sun was rising and lighting the mountain range up.

Yelp
We had an incredible vacation at Moose Head Ranch when our family visited back in June. The ranch is in a quiet area about 30 minutes outside of town. It covers a fairly large area and has a number of activities you can do: horseback riding, fishing, hiking, and more. The food was excellent! They prepared 3 meals each day and we weren't disappointed at all. They even packed a picnic lunch for us to take when we went to Yellowstone for the day. The views at MH are amazing. It was so beautiful having the Tetons right outside of your window. We've missed MH since we were there and look forward to visiting again soon!

Yelp
For unequaled beauty of location and exquisite views of the Snake River and Teton Mountains, Moose Head Ranch is where to go. And if you love horses and horse-back riding, then Moose Head has got that covered too. Loads of horses in the corral will take you for a nice ride. Bird-watchers will enjoy the variety of feathered friends such as swans, cranes, eagles, hawks and songbirds. Fisherman can cast their lines in the 6 well-stocked trout ponds but fishing is on a catch-and-release basis only or you can fish the famous Snake River out your cabin doorstep. How awesome is that? I found out about Moose Head Ranch from a fellow tourist in Yellowstone. She works at the Ranch in the summer and when we stopped by, I was overcome with how absolutely wonderful this place is. Yes, it is a little bit outside of town but when you roll down the dirt road, it is like you are entering a different time and certainly a different pace. Accordingly, Moose Head Ranch was originally homesteaded in 1925. Back then, the mountain-rimmed valleys were the stomping grounds of local Indians and the occasional fur trapper or hunter. The high elevation of 6,870 feet and remote locale nestled within the boundaries of Teton National Park did not see many travelers coming through for a vacation. In fact, even now, the only signs of mankind are a two-lane highway that leads to the ranch and the Jackson Hole airport located 18 miles south. Enjoying the pristine location and crisp mountain air is easy enough. Many of the guest cabins are located along the Snake River & offer a panoramic view of the majestic Grand Tetons in the distance. Sitting on your front porch, do not be surprised if a doe and fawn wander by or a moose munches horsetails in the creek. It makes for a very tranquil and serene feeling to be one with nature like this. There are 40 log cabins offered here--in small or family-sizes. Being among the aspen, cottonwoods, spruce and pines ain't cheap but it is the kind of vacation that will truly build wonderful and lasting personal and family memories to last a lifetime. You can even get hitched at the Moose Head Ranch and start off your married life in the majesty of God's country! 5 YELP STARS for that!
