Mopion Island

Mopion is such a cool place. I was here in June 2024 before the hurricane came through the area, and we really enjoyed our time alone on this beautiful piece of sand. You have to be a little careful navigating your dinghy around the island with the shallow waters, but worth the effort.

Great for a few hours to snorkel and have lunch. Only 1 umbrella so bring your sun screen, reef safe sunscreen.

One of the most magical lumps of sand I’ve ever been to. Bring your camera and lots of sunscreen.

It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend visiting.

An absolute little pearl (if you can call a small heap of sand that :) ). As others have said, there is no shade (only an old withered umbrella) on this little sandbank, so make sure you are protected from the sun. But well worth the stop. If you are lucky to get there when no one else is around, it feels a lot like a magical desert island in paradise.

Really a must see

It's a sandbank with a umbrella cemented onto it, its outline varies with the tides, The nearest islands are Petit-Saint-Vincent, Palm Island, Union and Frigate Island. Mopion

Only a wooden post left from the umbrella and about 2/3 of the island blew away in a hurricane.
