Interesting place to visit, we stayed only 29 minutes as it's quite small but very peaceful. Can be done at the end of a nice hike next to the moraca river

Gorgeous place, very beautiful and spiritual monastery, there is a playground and canteen where you can get basic beverages and snacks, more than friendly prices.

The wall frescos in the monastery are just amazing. You have to go there to see that, no pictures were allowes to take inside. Unfortunately there was a really angry woman who does not like European youngsters because most of them wore too short clothes. To go there women ans girls especially! should covere their skin (sholders and knees).

It is very beautiful and peaceful here. The courtyard and surrounding area are incredibly well-kept. You can go into a large church and a small old one, more like a cell, only you can't take pictures inside. There is a small bell tower, you can drink and wash yourself with holy water, sit in incredible peace on a bench, see the local apiary and carefully grown flowers.

A nice place for a short stop on the way, including the courtyard, the water flowing nearby, and more.

Beautiful place, lovely churgh and everything is clean and organized, though there were renovations near the church. Small coffee shop with also nice home brewed juices.

Visitors are not allowed to see the thirteenth-century frescoes on the east end of the church behind the iconostasis. You will see only the sixteenth/seventeenth century frescoes - beautiful but somewhat less interesting from a historical perspective. Photos are also prohibited.
