The hotel has a fantastic location, right in the heart of Genoa and within walking distance of the Old Port and Aquarium. The rooms are clean and air-conditioned, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the room I stayed in felt a bit small for the price, and some of the amenities were fairly basic (e.g., limited breakfast options and minimal lounge/common space). All in all, a decent choice for a short stay, but perhaps not exceptional.

We booked via Expedia and immediately very happy with the room which we shared with 2 adults and 2 children. 2 big beds, plus a sofa bed, 2nd dressing room and nice size bathroom. We booked via Expedia and did have an issue where Expedia did not transfer the money to the hotel (not the hotel’s fault at all) however… one small issue we did have was with breakfast not showing on our reservation on the hotels side. But on our paperwork it was showing. It was a bit disappointing that we had to argue the facts for a couple of hours, later to just pay for the breakfasts - even more so when we found out breakfast was only €5pp. That being said, extremely happy with everything else.

When I entered the room to wash my hands, the sink was full of beard shavings - so disgusting. The location was also very shady, with many homeless people sleeping around the hotel (could see them from the window) and shouting at night. Especially with the slide doors from the room, I did not feel safe. Wouldn’t sleep here again even it was free.

A fantastic location in the center of Genova - one block from the duomo. You can't ask for better. The hotel occupies half the fourth floor of an historic building. Some rooms face toward the town (our toward the duomo), other toward the highway and port. Those facing the town are quieter, of course. The rooms are clean and functional, perhaps a little old and basic, but that is not a criticism. Breakfast is what you would expect - but as such good. Espresso (not cappuccino) available on request.

With a little problem of locating the San Giorgio, one would never guess what is waiting for them when the elevator arrives at the floor and the doors open. You are treated royally; the rooms are beautiful, linens are very clean, beds quite comfortable, Free WiFi; the breakfast is a fantastic continental style served from 8 to 9:30 am. Located close to the historic centre, the aquarium the old port; you can walk everywhere, at any time. I highly recommend staying here.

Am writing this as I am unable to sleep due to the dismal fluctuations in sounds and noises coming from the street. It is the 21st century and sound proofing has become accessible. Am turning to an Airbnb for last resort. |Poor sound insulation between room and street and between the rooms as the renovations have been made with dry wall. Individual rooms are accessed via low security sliding doors. Extension chords hanging around as well as no fire safety concern. High risk low reward stay.

We were really pleased with Morali Palace. Great location and lovely rooms. All that we needed for a quick stay in Genoa before moving on. The hotel is located right on the edge of the city centre and next to the marina. Perfect for strolling around and getting around the streets of Genoa. ||The staff were lovely and accomodating making our stay really easy. Letting us keep our bags behind after check out and letting us even use a toilet when we returned! ||Would 100% recommend a stay here if you're looking for a no thrills hotel. We wish we had tried the breakfast. ||Rooms could do with a fridge but otherwise really clean and all you could want. Bathroom is nice.

Beautifully furnished and decorated rooms in an old family house in the Old Port district of Genoa. Very spacious, comfortable and clean. The best 4 Euro continental breakfast in Italy in an outstanding dining room (see photo). Definitely a five star experience and one we hope to experience again in the future.
