Morgan & Mees Amsterdam

We celebrated a friend’s birthday in the restaurant and it was honestly amazing. We started with the roasted ribs which were super tasty and really tender. Then we had the steak tartare, well seasoned and you could really taste the quality of the beef. For mains, we all went with the steak. Normally I’m not into steaks covered in sauce, but this one actually surprised me. The meat was tender and the sauce worked really well without overpowering it. We finished with a lemon cake with meringue. It was a bit too sweet for me, mostly because there was too much meringue, but it was still a decent way to end the meal. What really stood out was the service. The staff were so friendly and attentive the whole night, really impressive. Overall, this place deserves a solid five stars. The food was great, the service was even better, and the birthday celebration couldn’t have been more perfect.

Had a wonderful stay here with my husband and young toddler! Our room was very cleaned, spacious laid out with a lofted bed space and a nice balcony that faced the canal. Perfectly situated away from all the tourist areas, but just a short walk away to it. Lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby! Staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant was delicious as well. Highly recommend staying here!

I always cross by it, I tried it for the first time. I have to say it’s becoming one of my favorite spots as a restaurant in Amsterdam. I’ll start with the super sweet staff that are helpful and always kind. Plates are fulfilling, both drinking and eating menus are offering wide ranging options. The taste is super. Very nice vibes wherever u sit.

Really sad dessert and variable service. The savoury food was nice but the rest of the experience really tarnished it. The dessert very amateur and not on par. We even sent one back as this plate pictured here was for 12 euros… I felt like it was the free biscuit that came with the coffee, super poorly dressed. The waitress forgot our dessert order for an hour and was super casual about it. And then in the end we were told they “took the dessert of our bill” (the dessert we did not eat and sent back LOL not the rest). I think this place has ambitions and a good name in Amsterdam so it feels like they are ok with letting standards slip… not the first time I see that here. Its a shame it could be so much better. I’m definitely not coming very often and I won’t try to come more…

Great hotel in a lovely location. Walkable to everything. Special mention to Kate who works at Morgan & Mees she was seriously incredible!!! Made us feel extremely welcome and went above beyond to make our stay comfortable. The only thing I would mention for others visiting is that there is no lift. So if you struggle with stairs maybe request a room on the lower floors. But the staff were super accommodating helping us with all of our luggage!

Great Stay at Morgan & Mees! Stayed here for two nights and had a fantastic experience. The welcome was super warm, and I had a beautiful split-level room. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and the shower was absolutely amazing, with high-quality Marie-Stella-Maris products—the whole building even smells like them. Love it! A sweet welcome note was a nice touch, and the staff, especially the lovely ladies in the service, were incredibly kind. Breakfast was fantastic (not included, but they have a separate menu for it). Lunch and dinner were also top-notch. The room wasn’t cheap, but the quality was definitely worth it. I stayed alone and truly enjoyed the experience. A perfect stay for a few days in Amsterdam from Ibiza. Besos!

What an adorable hotel!! Old home, turned into a boutique hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very cute bar and restaurant. We did not eat at the restaurant but would love to go back. Fantastic location, great value. We stayed on the top floor in an attic room and it was adorable. Hotel is not handicap friendly.||Highly recommend!

We had an amazing evening at Morgan & Mees Amsterdam with our team and friends 18 of us in total! The food was incredible, the drinks were top-notch, and the atmosphere was just perfect. Despite our large group, the service was flawless attentive, friendly, and seamless. They made sure everything ran smoothly, which made the night even better. If you’re looking for a great spot in Amsterdam for dinner or drinks, Morgan & Mees is a must. Highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely be back!
