So this is the second time I have stayed in this Marriott. The first time it was unexpectedly nice and accommodating. This time I feel that there are extra charges and I don't understand why. If I am staying in the hotel overnight and paying the room rate why do I have to pay to park at your establishment? I mean I don't care to pay a parking fee but what you want should be the price to park for a month not overnight. Unfortunately I have little choice when my family plans Christmas dinner at this location. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and also very helpful. Also thanks for being pet friendly. I am hopeful once renovations are done that the parking situation as to where to enter will be fixed as well.

I had a great experience during my business trip. |I did not have any disturb. |Good restaurant and bar. |People were nice. |The view to the river is nice. However, it was quite raining these days as my. Isn't was during fall. |Meeting rooms are good.

The hotel is great, awesome staff and very clean and comfortable rooms, the only downside was the restaurant. It was a snowy day and the restaurant staff all called off except 3 people, (2 servers and 1 other, no cooks showed up.) they should have shut it down but instead the 3 of them tried to run it and failed.

The room had not been properly cleaned as evidence of two hairs left on the countertop greeting us as we arrived. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt until the family of dust bunnies on the bedside lamps bid us good night, as we attempted to sleep. Then, toilet ran all night. It was distant water running. Perhaps another guest?? It didn’t sound like it was our bathroom until we lifted the lid off the tank. By this time it was 5am. The real kicker was when we went to inform the front desk that the toilet runs ALL the Time- they were unfazed. “Oh sorry about that…” This is a frequent stop for us- but the last few times they have been missing the mark.

We came to tour the University and stayed a night here. It was a very nice hotel. It was super clean and a great location. I liked how there was a nice walking trail along the back. They upgraded us to a water view room and it was really pretty. I think there was a walkable restaurant nearby, but we did end up driving to a local shopping center for dinner as it had an abundance of choices. The gym was larger than usual for a hotel so my son loved that. The people were extremely service oriented and friendly as well. I am not a big Starbucks person, but if you are they had a full service one (not just a little hotel stand) right in the lobby. I didn't really understand the parking charge because they didn't write down our car info or give us a parking decal and the garage was wide open. So I'm not sure that we couldn't have just driven in and not told them. This was overall a great stay. I don't know that I would have another reason to be in this area - but if you are this is a wonderful choice.

Google
Fantastic location right on the river and trail you can walk, run, or bike. Love the room. Comfortable bed, great pillow. Nice seating and roomy. Bathroom was good size and shower was really nice. Rooms accurately shown on the website. Service was fantastic. Starbucks in the lobby. Loved the restaurant in the hotel too. Fantastic food. Cons: pool floor needs to be scrubbed and repainted. Pool fan/ventilation is so loud it is uncomfortable in the pool area. Hot tub jets didn’t work. Though nice size pool and hot tub. Could be really nice. For such a nice hotel you would think they could have appropriate size toilet seat for the toilet rim. Rim stuck out all around the seat (especially one side); see picture with rim highlighted in yellow (to Illustrate it wasn’t just the seat was crooked and needed to be tightened). Overall great hotel and would definitely sty again.

Hotel is in a great location. The room lighting is lacking, very dark with every light on. The parking is horrible. No valet or bellhop, and the parking is a hotel-owned garage a 7 min walk to the room, and it cost $12. Concierge lounge coffee was cold for breakfast, but the food was ok.

This was the last and an unexpected stay on a long college tour trip. The parking garage is a little odd but a minor detail. The hotel itself is great. I felt welcomed immediately upon entering despite the fact that the lobby was full of teenagers there for a sports tournament. Staff is exceptional at the front desk and believe me, we look pretty rough around the edges. Our room was beautiful. Well appointed, spotless with a wall of windows that faced the waterfront. My kids immediately tried the tv and we had a problem. I called the front desk and literally in moments someone was in our room fixing it. The beds were very comfortable with nice pillows. The hotel has a nice bar and restaurant. The breakfast at the restaurant was nice - I believe there was a buffet but we ordered off of the menu. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Overall this was a great stay and if we found ourselves in Morgantown again we would definitely stay here.

Yelp
09.27-28.24 The room was ok I reserved a larger room and used an elite night upgrade I was approved for the upgrade. While checking in the guy at the desk thanked me for being titanium asked if I wanted a $10 welcome gift or points I said points, he then says oh wow yall have a lot of points. We explained we only stay at a Marriott brand and we are Marriott times share owners. He said he was going to upgrade our room I mentioned I had already requested one and was approved he says I'm going to give you a better room on the 9th floor. We get to the room and it's the same room I had already reserved before asking for the upgrade. The room is nice has a large couch king size bed large shower and bathroom. Room and the property is very clean. I asked the hours of the M club (lounge) I was told that it's not open anymore on the weekend because on the weekends that there are games that more people go in and eat and drink than what is supposed to happen. Sounds like the person in charge of that room when food and drinks are being served that allows someone to bring in more than one extra person needs to loose there job. Working for Marriott has wonderful perks and good pay plus tips, I know my wife and I tip well when we go in the lounge. We have met some very nice people and learned a lot about the area and things to do. You can't get this kind of information from a pamphlet. So he say you can get breakfast in the restaurant, when we went to the restaurant we were told we could only have the buffet well Stay away from the breakfast buffet. The eggs were like rubber no moisture in then at all like they were microwaved, the bacon looked like and tasted like grease and the sausage looked microwaved it was all shriveled up the sausage gravy has brief up yellow stuff on it and I had to ask for biscuits there were none. The best thing was the wrap I took out the egg cheese tomato and spinach and just ate it the wrap was mushy. We will come back.

Yelp
Have been a fan of all Marriot brands for some years now, I pretty much try to use a Marriot brand whenever I travel bc of the consistent quality and service Marriot surprisingly to many owns 37 hotel owned hotels including some brands such as the w which are my favorite, edition hotels, moxy hotels, autograph collection ritz caldron and st Regis to name a few of the nicer ones but plenty for each budget through the world. They also offer the best membership program I've ever had earning points is easy and upgrades are great as you move up the ladder ! This particular Marriot I visit at least once a year and the customer service is very good, great bar w food and even wood fired brick oven! The restaraunt has a traditional selection for breakfast and room service menu is tasty and convenient. Remember to use your Marriot credit card if u have one bc you'll earn many many more points bet dollar spent. This is a very modern hotel with a great location. Would just say the downside is parking. Highly recommended ! If you're fortunate enough to get upgraded or book certain suites and regular rooms you will have access to the Concierge club which is reserved as I said only for certain loyalty levels or certain rooms. It's quite good decent selection of breakfast foods in a buffet style in a modern space with a river view different table setups for everything from singles to business as well as TVs broadcasting the news.

Yelp
I went there for a conference. It is huge. Very large parking garage. Perfect for events where there are hundreds of people. The food was very good. Loved the size of the ballroom. I am also always happy to see a Starbucks on the premises. It was clean, large restrooms. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. I'd attend other conferences there if needed!

Yelp
Here's the reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars...The facilities are very nice: The rooms there have been updated since we were last in town, banquet rooms have been added and the overall looks of the place has been updated. (It has more of a big city feel to it than it did before. Picture darker, moodier interiors definitely less pastels than before.) Which makes me confused about the service. We made reservations for a room with a river view and two queen beds. We received a room with one queen bed and a chaise lounge. When we asked about why we were given a room with one bed and our reservation was for two beds, we were told that our reservation was a "suggestion" and not based on availability. Wait, what? Why make reservations if they're just "suggestions"? Are you kidding me? Just apologize for the mistake and give us a new room. My cousin and I love each other, but we don't want to share a bed. Strike one! Strike two is them comping us breakfast to make up for the room mixup and then having the restaurant hostess raise her voice at us and telling us that we had the wrong card for our comped breakfast and that we had to get the "right" comp card. This situation wasn't pretty. Strike three is us leaving a card for our room to be cleaned and only the garbage was picked up. You're out! Would I stay here again? Yes, but I would have to adjust my expectations and know how they roll. Good/great room but lousy service.

Yelp
I had a great time staying here with my husband. Came in town for the weekend. The rooms were clean and spacious. There's a sit down breakfast area as well as a buffet. Awesome bar! And a Starbucks inside of the hotel as well. Beautiful lake views and there's a walk path that can take you to all of the restaurants in the historic area. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Yelp
Pros: nice and large rooms, comfy beds, a Starbucks in the lobby, a large gym, and a nice bar downstairs. The products in the bathrooms are nice. Checking in and out was quick and easy. Tons of parking. Cons: Parking is $12 a day which is really expensive for a hotel in Morgantown. No free water easily accessible- other then asking Starbucks or the water jugs they have in the lobby for an hour. No free water in the gym or to fill up your water. Restaurant had a long wait on a game morning so plan for food elsewhere.

Yelp
Stayed two nights for a recent wedding. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious. Bar and lobby were a fun place to hang out. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Overall a great weekend. Only negative for some is parking is on the other side of the event center. It's a 10th of a mile indoor walk from the lobby to the parking garage. There is some handicap parking available outside the lobby.

Yelp
An amazing hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with a modern decor! The woodford reserve restaurant has breakfast as buffet or sit down dinning. Great food and service!

Yelp
Morgantown Marriott is a great spot just blocks away from downtown along the Monongahela River. I loved my stay here, with a clean and well appointed room. It's not your ordinary hotel room, a larger than normal bathroom, great decor and well lighted. Great lounger chair, and two comfy queen size beds and a perfect desk to work remotely which I did for half a day and had no problems with my wifi connect. There is a Starbucks in the lobby and a great bar and restaurant, fireplace and outdoor seating too. A gym with everything you need that is clean and first class and the pool is just as good. Their is a river walk right outside the hotel and I never found the end of it, but was on it for at least 3 miles. Along the way and not far are some great cafes, coffee shops, restaurants and breweries even an escape room you could walk to in less than 20 minutes. It a great spot with tons of garage parking and a huge conference center attached to the hotel. The parking is a little bit of a walk, but it's not a deal breaker at all. If your headed to Morgantown, I don't think you'll find a finer hotel in the area it is top notch and first class.

Yelp
Football weekend....beware....they will cancel your room. I booked rooms for the weekend of the WVU Penn State game back in September of 2023 through Travelocity. 40 days before the game they canceled my rooms and said they overbooked and that they had the right to cancel my room because it was booked through a 3rd party. This is the second time Marriott has done this to me, last time was for a game weekend vs Oklahoma, only that one was 10 days before the game. They try to give BS responses but unfortunately for them they get caught in their own BS.....it wasn't until the game time was announced at 12 noon did they realize they had an over booking, we know this because they have enough rooms for Saturday night but no rooms for Friday night. One would think that if you overbooked you would go to the person that booked the room last, not the person who booked over a year ago.....but wait the guy who booked a year ago got a nightly rate of $198 because he booked before they figured out it was a football weekend [normally they go for $500 a night or higher]. So let's cancel him and everyone else who booked at that rate.....by the way in total with friends and family we booked 9 rooms at this hotel for that weekend at the lower rate....all 9 were canceled....what a coincidence. They offered to put us up in a Marriott in Clarksburg WV, 40 miles away, they said that was the closest property, I told them the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Fairmont was still showing rooms available the agent was surprised and said they would check into that....Fairmont is only 20 miles from Morgantown. 40 days from the event and only rooms left in town are asking $800 a night...thank you Marriott....by the way Travelocity did nothing for us as well....Buyer be ware....if you get a good rate from Marriott for a home football game...have a back-up plan.

Yelp
Decent hotel. Some minor issues with maintenance. Definitely need to replace all their towels due to staining/discoloration.

Yelp
A three star review is generous. The hotel itself was fine. Location was on the river with a flat walking path alonf beside ther iver. And by fine I mean clean and the staff were courteous. The restaurant? Wowzers. Breakfast the first day we tried the buffet. This was at 7:15 a.m. Meaning, not exactly closing time. The food was dried, cold, and not enticing. On the second day we ordered off the menu to avoid the buffet. We sat outside - our request to sit outside was originally denied as the employee did not want to walk the additional 20 feet. It was the worst service. I asked for a cup of tea. Fifteen minutes for a cup of tea. The employee brought hot water, with not tea bags, cream, or sugar! Tea bags were then offered. Another ten minutes and the cream and sugar arrived. Honestly, I could have milked a cow faster - and I have never actually milked a cow. We asked for hot milk and were informed by the server she had no way to make hot milk. Suggested someone could pop the milk into a microwave. Sure says she! We were then served room-temperature milk. So, not great on the restaurant. The housekeeping staff was not johnny on the spot the first day (we asked them to come back in an hour due to a conference call and were informed maybe, but I might forget). Housekeeping did not return. The second-day housekeeping did a great job.

Yelp
Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place is a beautiful hotel. My room was huge and very comfortable with a view of the river. Staff was friendly and greeted us every time we walked into the lobby. The garage is a pretty long walk back to the lobby and elevators but having a garage to park in was great since it was snowing while I was there. Both Starbucks and the restaurant were closed due to COVID so that was disappointing but there are good restaurants a short walk away including a cafe for coffee and breakfast. The hotel is located a short drive from the college, shopping and restaurants so it's a good home base if you're visiting Morgantown.

Yelp
Rooms are nice. We were able to check in at Noon which was very nice. Gym is nice. Concierge on 2nd floor is no longer available for snacks and coffee. There was some soda and bottles of water. Instead, we got 2 complementary breakfast buffets. Good thing it was free because the food was gross. The food was lukewarm. Eggs were gross. Sausage was rubbery. The oatmeal was a solid lump of oats. There was a hash brown casserole type dish with potato chips on top. It was lukewarm and gross. Fresh fruit was actually good. Waiter was nice. Glad I did not have to pay but left a tip. Grossy and horrible.

Yelp
Beautiful and newly renovated hotel. Our family loves Marriott hotels and typically stay at them when we travel. This hotel was lovely, very clean and a great staff. They have a Starbucks located in the lobby as well for you to enjoy. Also offered in the lobby is a bourbon bar and a restaurant for the hotel. Our room was large and had a couch bed as well as a great view of the water. Our kids loved the swimming pool and used it for several hours! Additionally they have a playground outside along the river in the back for the kids to enjoy! We will be back!

Yvette J. B.

Yelp
Great place to stay in Morgantown. Staff is mostly college students making a living while attending college. This Marriott does slack off on some of the amenities that we have experienced at other facilities. All in all though, good experience on a weekend when students were graduating and the city was super busy.

Yelp
Lexi at the front desk did an incredible job making me feel at home. I usually come here for business and it meets all might needs. For the first time, I brought my wife on this business trip, and she made this visit more of an event. Thank you for the special touch, Lexi.

Caleigh M.

Yelp
Keem and Tyler at the front desk were so friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Be careful, after booking online and paying in full online I was forced to pay additional for parking. My room was advertised as, Deluxe King Bed, Guest Room, 1 King, Sofa Bed, City View - Free Wifi And Fridge City view? Unless you count the view of a road.

Yelp
My family & I stayed here recently while visiting Morgantown. This hotel is a great location off of I79 & close to the downtown campus. We booked res online, which was a bit challenging since you can only book 3 rooms on one reservation- I had to do 2 reservations for 5 rooms. They were great about letting us check in early. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice- nicely decorated & had a microwave and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable of course, but I did notice a stain on the comforter. I really liked that they have a restaurant & starbucks at this hotel. I enjoyed the starbucks, but it closed in the afternoon. One night we had drinks & appetizers at the bar, which was good and fairly priced. The lobby had a really nice sitting area. They were very dog friendly. It is also nice that there are a few restaurants within walking distance. The room was reasonably priced, but the fees added up (parking, wifi, etc). The main disappointment for us was that the pool & the hot tub were closed while we were there- I understand this is probably due to covid, but we were really looking forward to it- would be nice if they provided a discount for the lack of amenities. Also, I would have felt safer if the bartenders at Bourbon Prime wore masks. Otherwise, we had a great stay here and I would recommend it.

Yelp
This newly built Marriott is a beautiful addition to Marriott's hotels. Everything from the lobby to the rooms to the gym is new and modern, creating a totally luxurious feel. But as the saying goes- you can't judge a book by it's cover- otherwise this place would be getting a total 5 star review. I travel frequently for work and have become a loyal Marriott member, which means I have high expectations for the brand and their locations. One of the biggest perks of frequent travel and loyalty to Marriott is access to their concierge lounge, which I was give at this location. The actual lounge is beautifully done. The disappointment came with the service and food at the lounge. The happy hour, which at other locations typically features 2 to 4 delicious bites, had a measly dip and a tiny plate of cheese and veggies. Breakfast was no better, the selection was beyond limited and the food that was available was not fresh. When complaints were made to the lounge staff or hotel manager- they were met with a lame answer of "we recently changed the menu." While I loved design of this Hotel, I don't see the value in staying here and will find other accommodations next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
It was ok but the bed killed my back I couldn't move for two days. The food is expensive. And I brought my daughter with me and they just seemed like I was a bad parent for bringing a baby in. The only good thing about this hotel is that it has a Starbucks in it.

Yelp
We arrived very late last night, and the front desk man was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and I felt safe staying here after COVID. This hotel was VERY modern and I loved all the decor and the feel of the place. I wish the restaurant (and even Starbucks) was open to experience the stay more.

Yelp
This hotel is modern, clean, and very accessible to downtown Morgantown WV. I was happy to see the Starbucks Coffee in the lobby ( but the room was well stocked with complimentary coffee as well). I wish the elevators were closer to check-in, and I think they will be once construction is complete ( which looks to be soon). Our bed was quite comfortable and the rain shower with the hand wand option was excellent. Plus, who can argue with waking up to a view of the river. If we're ever back in town, this is where we will stay.

Yelp
Wood floors, dim lighting, awful $10 breakfast buffet. If i had known the floors were wood i would have brought slippers. I bring sandals for the bathroom and shower but slippers would be nice for winter. The wood floor may be swept but i could see spots needed mopped or at least wiped. The lighting when we arrived was dim. It was a dreary day and lighting made little difference. The lighting in the bathroom and at door are nice bright silver dollar sized LED lights. The lighting after dark was sufficient. Get valet service and leave bags off in lobby. It seems like a mile from the parking garage to the elevator. Honestly an extra elevator close to the parking deck would be nice, but its space is wasted with meeting rooms. The breakfast you couldnt pay me to eat. The scrambled egg pan at 8am was complete and completely solid egg. I could have flipped the whole pan onto a table and had perfect rectangle chaffing dish shape of scrambled egg still. Sausage and bacon appeared edible. I chanced it. The biscuits and gravy looked nasty as well. Something unidentified was next to that. I assumed was oatmeal. Dont waste 10 dollars on that and go somewhere else. The toilet seat fell so it was either hold it while piss or piss like a woman. The bed is comfy and the room design is trendy. However i saw too many cons to outweight the comfy bed and trendy updated finishes. Large tv. Get a real couch, i dont like this sectional. Was also hard to move when my wife dropped an earring behind it. I'd stay elsewhere. Work reserved this hotel because a meeting was there. Construction was being done to convert hotel to marriott but honestly that didnt bug me at all!!!

Yelp
Was here for WVU event. Food at events was average, desserts were terrible. Food / catering fell short!!! When we checked in there were feathers under the desk...I asked the manager, did someone kill a bird in the room? Housekeeping did not clean room until we called at 5:00 after we had been out all day. There was mold around tub in the shower. The tub has a duvet in the middle where water stands and is stained. The facility is rather new and in good condition but management is not managing. Staff are nice, just not trained. Starbucks in lobby is a good resource.

Yelp
The rooms are very nice here. The rooms looked new. We loved the décor of our room. It had hard wood floor tiling, comfortable beds and a good view of the river. The staff was helpful and friendly. They have Valet parking or you can park your car yourself. Just make sure that if you park your car yourself, that you park on the second level. This floor connects to the hotel. It is kind of a long walk from the parking garage to the lobby of the hotel. So, please be aware of this. The hotel has a Jacuzzi and indoor pool. The pool looked as if it could use a good cleaning. The Jacuzzi was nice a warm and felt real good after being on the road all day. It is open from 0600 to 2200. We went to the bar for a couple of cocktails after the Jacuzzi. The drinks weren't that grate. I ordered a margarita and my wife a wine. The drinks were expensive. My margarita was something like 12 dollars and was not that good. While we were sitting there trying to have a conversation, one of the workers started vacuuming. Making it not so pleasant to sit and unwind from the day.

Yelp
This is a pretty nice Marriott with a modern decor all around. Internet: Sucked badly. Connection was spotty in the room (I was in a corner room on the 11th floor) and even Internet TV options such as Crackle would take a long time buffering. It was even worse using the internet on the iMac in the lobby. Bonvoy members: For those choosing the $10 food and beverage credit it appears it's for the entire stay as opposed to each night. I had a two-night stay so not sure if that played a part but in comparison the Courtyard Marriott gives you a voucher for each night. The other option is to go with the 1000 points. Dining: Only ate one item but the Caesar Salad was pretty darn good and there is a variety of non traditional add on for $5 options such as steak and scallops. The croutons had a sweetness to them which was a welcome change as well. As of 10/17/19 the price on the restaurant menu showed at $9 but they charged $10 which is the same price shown on the in-room menu. Speaking of rooms... The rooms: Modern look with hardwood floors. I was upgraded to the Executive 2 Queen Beds room which included a mini fridge that has a see through door. The bathroom was large and included three towels but two wash cloths and hand towels. The one aspect I didn't like was the mildew in the shower area. I had to lay down a towel as I wasn't just comfortable standing barefoot. I hope Marriott takes a look at that. You may need to adjust the shower head before turning on the water. Noise isolation could use improvement as I could hear the person in the room next to me talking but was able to fall asleep without much hinderance. I didn't hear noise from anyone opening and closing their doors. Lounge: For those with lounge access it is open from Sunday evening through Friday morning but not 24 hours. Breakfast hours are from 6:30-10 I believe and the evening reception is from 5:30-7:30. Dessert is from 7:30-10. They serve finger foods such as pot stickers, spring rolls along with a veggie tray that includes cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers, celery , red and green peppers and ranch dipping all sitting on ice and covered which is a nice touch. Other places have them out at room temperature where ppl can breath on it. Parking: Hotel charges $12 each night for in/out parking using a shared parking garage. If you plan on leaving once for work and stay in till the next you can just pay the garage for $10 at 24 hours. Otherwise it's a charge for 1 hr, 2 hrs, etc.

Yelp
The hotel is in a great location and the staff is friendly, but one of the basics of a hotel room is a working sink. Unfortunately, this hotel is incapable of providing that basic service. Three times we requested the sink be fixed and three times they failed to do so. The hotel claims to be one of the top 15 Marriotts in the world. Which does not speak well for Marriott. If it was not for the location of the hotel, I would have given it one star.

Tia L.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. Kevin at the front desk had my entire family thrown out of the hotel because he hung up on someone in our party after he didn't know how to resolve an issue. The on duty manager put her hand in another person face in the party and refused to deescalate the situation. The WORST experience I've ever encountered.

Cindy S.

Yelp
We had a family birthday get-together this past weekend in Morgantown and we chose the Marriott for our stay. Friendly check-in staff even though she was very busy with about 5 different parties wanting to check in at the same time. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had a lovely view of the river even though we didn't request one. It was quiet too. We didn't hear any noise until people started to check out the next morning. They lose points for not having an exhaust fan in the bathrooms. That's kind of like an essential thing for us. King bed was a little on the soft side, which is rare. Biggest negative was the too soft, flat pillows. After about 30 minutes it was like not having a pillow at all. Made for less than stellar sleep. Also, their provisions for breakfast were laughable. Each guest received a brown paper bag with an apple, fruit bar, and a small bottle of water. I guess they tried, but it wasn't really necessary. And the biggest negative? Having to pay for parking and walking so far to get to the parking deck. Not good at all! The hotel itself is lovely, clean and quiet with wonderful views of the river. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again. Just prepare yourself for a hike to get to your car and to pay $12/night for the parking. Oh, and avoid the restaurant on the first floor, Bourbon Prime. It's over-priced and the food is sub-par with a VERY long wait time.

Yelp
I had to attend a conference at the Morgantown Mariott at Waterfront Place room/fridge to store my milk in while I attended the conference. To make a very long story short, I was told that I would have to pump in the family restroom and that I could store my milk in the employee fridge, all of which is completely unacceptable. It took a request to ask the manager and a couple phone calls during the conference between me and the front desk staff member before a reasonable solution was offered. I appreciate what accommodations I did receive, but the fact that this was ever an issue at all is really disheartening and frustrating. I expected better of your organization and hope that this complaint will open your eyes to an area that needs to be addressed in your hotels. I shouldn't have to sit in a conference worrying about where I'm going to pump or if I'm even going to have a secure place to store my milk. A policy and secure location should already be in place to accommodate breastfeeding mothers. I have submitted two complaints to corporate office about this issue, one two weeks ago and another last week, but have yet to receive a response. Unbelievable and unacceptable.

Yelp
Nice room, but the hotel staff gave me a bad impression from the beginning. I messaged prior to my arrival regarding my stay and never received a response after waiting 2 hours. After checking in, I received no help getting the trolley out the double doors to retrieve my baggage (they do not automatically open). It was difficult and my spouse is handicapped. Will never stay here again!!!! I always believed the room rate was more than the price of the room, it was all encompassing. After witnessing that my $264 / night was not as important as the college students hanging out at the bar near the reception area, I will definitely think twice about future stays.

Yelp
Overrated. As a platinum for life member, I expected better things from this property. 1. Housekeeping did not service my room on one of my nights. 2. The lounge (2nd floor) breakfast was week compared to other properties. 3. The evening service in the lounge (2nd floor) was also weak. The restaurant/bar on the main floor was quite good.

Yelp
One of the nicest and friendliest hotels I have had the good fortune to stay at. The courteous gentleman at the desk got us exactly the right kind of room with the view we wanted and every staff member encountered was exceptional. The room was squeaky clean and the views here are amazing.

Yelp
Excellent Experience! Super nice hotel with all the amenities someone would need, including a parking garage, also Valet service. The only real issue I had was not the hotels' fault but due to this dreadful COVID-19 spread the main attraction AKA Starbucks, was closed, which would have been nice. Excellent customer service at the front desk as well. Hope this helps someone.

Yelp
One of the most strangely managed Marriott I have ever stayed at. The employees even say the management are not easy to work with. This place has the Marriott name but it reminds me of a Hilton property.... Here it is...house keeping does not have the needed supplies to replenish your room, very limited amenities in the room versus the value, very limitedly quality liquor at the bar, unimpressive food in the Resturant, super cold temperature in the gym, god awful parking so far away. Plus side...best hair dryers I ever had in a hotel, and staff all are the sweetest kindest people, but that sure is not enough to warrant a stay...is it??? I don't know....I am hoping it gets better on my long term stay.

Yelp
First time visiting West Virginia. ALL of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was very large, comfortable and clean. The Star Bucks and hotel restaurant and bar were closed due to covid. The staff provided us with a list of local restaurants in the area, with ones that were in walking distance starred. This was very helpful. Loved the location along the water. There is a walking path, really nice playground and outdoor workout stations. I look forward to returning in the near future.

Yelp
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great decor, and a comfortable bed. What more could ya' want? Only downside for me - no safe, no mini fridge, and no overhead lights (except for by the door). I'd definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This review is really for the Starbucks in the lobby. They were AWESOME today - very personable and fixed my drink from another Starbucks that was messed up. Thank you so much for an awesome experience! Great baristas! I looked around the lobby a bit as well - very bright & welcoming -- I'll definitely consider this location if I need a hotel in Morgantown.

Yelp
I am really glad I selected this Marriott property of all the ones in the Morgantown area. The hotel is in a good location and easily accessible. Hotel staff was helpful at check-in and the common areas were spacious and well maintained. The room had plenty of space (sleeping and sitting areas), was clean, sleek and modern. I was on the 11th floor and which provided an awesome view of the rive. The bathroom was well lit and hot water was never a problem regardless of the time. The hallways were also modern, well lit and clean. I was more than satisfied with the room, common areas, and fitness center. My only criticism is the walls and floors are not well insulated for sound so you can occasionally hear your neighbors. Easy access to riverside walking trails. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

Yelp
Nice and generally a clean place. Rooms are huge. Front desk was super friendly. Small issues ... a big bug was sitting on my bill when I picked it up in the morning. No cups in the bathroom. Poor sound isolation provided for some interesting acoustic entertainment. Overall okay, but I wouldn't go there because of the hotel.

Yelp
I've got to say....when we walked in it look perfect for what we needed, but then it ended there. We were supposed to get a room with 2 queen beds, but instead recieved 1 king for 2 adults and 2 small children. Then up to the room and realized no fridge/freezer. Needless to say we needed a freezer for some milk for my 4 month old. So I went to the desk and they said NO freezers within the entire hotel, very hard to believe and if they truly don't they need to adjust this. Btw, 3 bottles of milk were ruined as a result of this. Then came departure at 630am... called down to get the car pulled up. Cam downstairs with my hands full, my wife holding the baby, me chasing the 2 yr old while pulling our luggage.... and, the man behind the counter and throwing guy that got my car just stand there and don't offer to help, NOT even to hold the door as I struggle outside. So with that being said the 8hrs I stayed at this hotel will be the last time. Unreal and hopefully management sees this. Take care.

Yelp
No Starbucks, No rooftop restaurant, no bar, no room service, bagged breakfast was water, apple, breakfast bar. Waste of money to stay here. Even with view.

Yelp
Typically this is a hotel I look forward to staying at for our annual cheer competition. This visit was very disappointing. It started with walking into our room and realizing there was not a tv hooked up, just the wires in the wall. I called down to the front desk and they offered to give us a discounted rate or to switch rooms- we ended up switching rooms which is a minor inconvenience. Then go down to realize the bar and restaurant are closed as well as Starbucks. Next, the room they switched us to was an adjoining room and I could hear the others entire conversation- and they weren't being loud and can't forget the stomping above us. I had to turn the tv on just to fall asleep with the noise. The above were minor but the biggest complaint I have is- I requested a late checkout on the app at 8:16pm had no reply. When I called down at 7:30am the lady said they had exceeded their late checkout requests- when a fellow team member just got a 2pm check out prior. I also requested towels at 830am called again at 9:30am and never received any and we checked out at 12:30pm. I understand we are in different times with the pandemic but come on. This event brings hundreds of people every year- they should be well prepared by now. Also the pullout couch had lots of dirt/dust behind- in slow times cleaning should be a priority.

Yelp
Maybe this place will get better. The upside is that it's new, within driving distance to places you need to be, and they had a Starbucks. The staff were friendly and I liked the size of my room. What I didn't like was that 2 of my pillows smelt like someone had sweated on them, and there wasn't much food in the concierge lounge. There wasn't even any bacon for breakfast. If I'm in town, maybe I'll try them again but the other hotels in town seem to be less isolated.

Yelp
The facility is beautiful, I was excited when I walked in and thought to myself I made the right decision. This was a weekend trip so I was only staying one night and booked the room to ensure I had a good night sleep before I drove 5 hours home. Needless to say that didn't happen I would have been better off staying with my sister and her 4 kids. My girlfriend and I went to bed around 9:00pm 4/11 then woken up around 10:30pm by the fire alarm. I understand the fire alarm can go off at any time but I think it definitely could have been handle better. So when the alarm went off I was getting out of bed I scraped/cut the back of my leg from the exposed springs coming from the mattress. We made are way down the stairway and reach the lobby and told by an Waterfront employee in a seemly joking manner everything was ok, someone was using a steamer and set the alarm off. Seems like this place has a lot of problems with the fire alarm going off from other reviews. So by this point I was we had to wait 15/20min for an elevator back up to are floor, get back to the room and laid down in bed to hear some over the intercom say "may I have your attention" about 5 times. When checking out I told the front desk about the springs coming out of the mattress and it scraping/cutting the back of my leg they didn't seem all that concerned at all they just ask me what room I was in. I really wish my experience was better I frequent Morgantown area often and will think twice about staying here again. **Good luck trying to contact management, emailed management never received a reply back.

Yelp
This place is not for the business traveler! The good: Front desk was pleasant and friendly. Comfortable beds and huge flat screen TVs, but the remotes are junk. Beautiful and convenient location on the river with easy access to the trails and wharf area. The bad: Parking is inconvenient unless you valet. They took the cheap route in designing this place and you can hear your neighbors using the bathroom through the thin walls. Disgusting! The thermostat is an old school dial with only "Warmer" and "Cooler" options. The lighting in the bathroom sucks and there is no way a woman can do makeup in there without risking a clown face. There were no decorations or art on the walls so it felt bleak. There are no electrical outlets by the bed. Room service for my neighbor across the hall didn't clean up the used tray left outside the room for over 24 hours. That's just filthy! Overall, I am glad I Pricelined this at an insanely cheap rate for the area because I would be furious if I had paid their ridiculous listed rates. Definitely will not stay again.
