"Take an excursion to the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, about a 20-minute drive west of downtown. The museum pays tribute to Yamato, a colony formed by Japanese farmers that moved to the area in 1904, and sits on 200 acres, 16 of which are traditional Japanese gardens designed by Hoichi Kuriso. The museum houses Japanese art and artifacts along with rotating exhibits."

"In 1906, 19-year-old George Morikami immigrated to the United States after being recruited (along with many other Japanese farmers) to join the Yamato Colony located in what is now Boca Raton, Florida. The purpose behind establishing the Yamato Colony was to form a community of Japanese farmers, mostly from Miyazu, Japan, who would cultivate pineapples in South Florida. However, due to pineapple blight in 1908 and increased competition from cheaper pineapples from Cuba, the Yamato Colony was not a success. After only a few years many of the colony’s farmers left Yamato and relocated to other parts of the United States, while some even returned back to Japan. Subsequently, as the United States entered World War II, what remained of Yamato Colony was claimed by the U.S. Government, and used to create an Army Air Corps training base. In spite of all of this George Morikami stayed the area, moving to the neighboring city of Delray Beach, and by the end of the war he had purchased a farm. After farming in South Florida for more than 65 years, George Morikami donated his 200 acres of farmland to Palm Beach County in 1973. Three years later he passed away at age 89. His ashes were returned to Miyazu, and in his honor Delray Beach, FL is now a sister city to Miyazu, Japan. Today, The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens are open to visitors, and with its brilliantly manicured gardens, fascinating wildlife, appetizing cafe, and informative exhibits, truly provides guests with an oasis for the mind, body, and stomach." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a peaceful and gorgeous place to stroll and take in nature. We visited on a Saturday, and while there were plenty of other visitors, it didn’t feel overcrowded. The gardens are filled with photo-worthy scenery, including waterfalls, Bonsai trees, bridges, and the original museum building from 1977. We also saw a surprising amount of wildlife—lizards (including iguanas and Cuban Anoles), herons, turtles, blue jays, and cardinals. Although signs warn of alligators, we didn’t see any. Be sure to check out the museum and the nearby gift shop, which offers unique items. The short films and historical exhibits are especially moving and add real depth to the visit. Plan ahead—special events such as weddings can affect the schedule. Tickets are sold at the door; adult admission is $16, with discounts for seniors, students, military, and groups of 15+ (check their website for current pricing). Parking is free, and there's a café and an ice cream cart on-site. We didn’t eat there as it didn’t appear to have indoor seating, and we wanted to get out of the brutal June heat and into some A/C. The main downside is the heat—the gardens are only open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., which is the hottest time of day. Bring water (they have a water cooler where visitors can refill water bottles), sunscreen, and bug spray—gnats and mosquitoes were definitely around. Overall, it’s a beautiful and enriching experience, but summer visitors should come prepared for the South Florida heat.

Beautiful Botanical Gardens. This garden is vary walkable with a lots of different species of plants and trees and wild life critters to see. Florida has some of the best Botanicals to view as its a tropical state. Lots of flowering trees and a great nature trail. I would definitely visit again.

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a truly magical and peaceful place. The gardens are beautifully maintained, offering a serene atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing and inspiring walk. It’s a wonderful escape from the everyday rush. The museum itself is also worth visiting, with interesting exhibits that provide insight into Japanese culture. One of the highlights was the special display of beautifully pruned Japanese trees – a unique and calming experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for beauty, calm, and a touch of Japanese tradition in Florida

Google
Stunning garden. 1.5 hour drive from Miami. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They suggested on what to do first. The garden itself is not as big as the map shows. You definitely will be spending one hour or so here. They are benches throughout the garden to sit and enjoy the scenery. The bonsai tree garden has different types of bonsai on display. There is a small waterfall a walk over.

A Hidden Gem – A Perfect Day for the Whole Family! We recently visited Morikami Japanese Gardens, and I can’t say enough good things about it. My three children absolutely loved the experience! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by peaceful, beautifully maintained landscapes that felt like stepping into another world. The gardens are stunning — a perfect blend of nature, water features, and traditional Japanese design. The paths are easy to walk, even for little ones, and there are so many spots to stop, explore, and just take in the scenery. My kids were fascinated by the koi fish ponds, the stone lanterns, and the little bridges throughout the park. It’s both peaceful and engaging, which is a rare combination when you’re traveling with children! They had so much fun while also learning about Japanese culture and nature. There was plenty of shade, clean facilities, and spots to sit and relax — all of which made the experience enjoyable for us as parents, too. Highly recommend Morikami for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to spend a beautiful day outdoors. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
A beautifully maintained garden with a serene atmosphere; there are plenty of benches along the lake, which make for good spots to sit and read/relax; the history is also quite interesting, so this is easily a full day activity—though, you could make it a quick two-hour walk through if you wanted.

Donna Terrano

Google
Beautiful place! Very friendly staff! Much larger than I expected with peaceful spots to sit on benches and enjoy the scenery. There were so many cars in the lot we thought it would feel crowded, but the grounds are so large it wasn’t an issue. There is also a cool wooded path to walk through. The bonsai garden was spectacular, some of the trees there were older than us. Good food and fast service at the cafe. The vegetarian bento box was huge. Also, the gift shop was nice and it had an interesting selection of items. Thank you to the staff for a great experience.

Google
Great place. Has a good Japanese restaurant for a museum (see photo). Lots of lizards and reptiles around. Garden trails are in a big circle taking the walker through the different types and styles of Japanese gardens that developed over the centuries. If you start by going to the right upon the entrance to the garden, it starts with the older styles and as you make your way around the lake it brings you to the "rock gardens". There is a section of the most crazy display of bonsai trees of all different varieties. Some have been being "trained" for decades. They have plaques on them to help you appreciate the many styles and work that goes into them. FYI, more shade on the path to the right and less shade to the left. If you start in the morning, I would suggest starting to the left so as the day gets hotter, you're in the shade.

Yelp
A true gem of cultural art and natural beauty sits on a huge property with an even bigger philanthropy back story. It's worth a Google 100%. I've been visiting for decades and it never gets old. Between the variety of traditional Japanese events they host, constant updates to the museum and art displays, and the ever evolving nature within the expansive grounds, you're always finding something new to be amazed by. They have over 25 distinct areas to explore, including the indoor museum and theater. The Bamboo Grove, Early Rock Gardens, and the Morikami Bonsai Collection are three of our favorites. You'll always see professional and amateur photographers, as well as people sketching the landscape and Japanese stone art as you wander. You will also see many people sitting in silence, taking in nature and the spiritual connection your get from the history surrounding you. Whenever I leave, I am always in a better mood. You can also hit the onsite Cafe for a full Japanese themed menu. Check out my separate review for the details. I recommend making a day of it without an event going on for your first time. Walk half the park, grab a delicious lunch, and finish the other half before closing with the indoor attractions. Lastly, this is a venue completely generated from philanthropy. Take some time to learn how they continue their mission to educate and inform. Maybe even spend a few extra dollars to become a member. Lots of perks come with it like discounts and access to events.

Yelp
These gardens are absolutely stunning. Such a peaceful visit and plenty of sightseeing and walking around. My favorite parts were probably the bamboo forest and the bonsai tree farm. If you sit and listen to the wind blow through bamboo, it's such a cool and soothing sensation, never gets old. The bonsai farm is unlike anything I have seen. Honestly, this may be silly but I never knew there were so many different kinds of bonsai! It was just fascinating getting to learn more about it. There is so much more to see here and definitely worth the visit if you are able. The workers were super kind and helpful if you needed anything. The only thing I'd watch out for are the prices at the gift shop- I accidentally bought a tiny notebook for $40 of which I could not believe they charged that much for (and would not have purchased had I realized the price). If you love being in nature while also being able to learn some history, Morikami is for you!

Yelp
Morikami Japanese Gardens exceeded all our expectations. While we anticipated a beautiful experience, the serenity, meticulous maintenance, and sheer variety throughout the grounds truly amazed us. We started our visit with some boba tea, which was sweet, refreshing, and the perfect way to begin our day. From there, we took our time exploring the gardens--about two hours in total. You could easily walk through faster if needed, but I highly recommend slowing down to fully take it all in. Every corner offers something special, from tranquil koi ponds to stunning bonsai displays and lush, vibrant landscapes. The peaceful atmosphere makes it easy to forget the outside world and fully immerse yourself in the beauty around you. Whether you're looking for a quiet escape, a cultural experience, or just a stunning place to spend the day, Morikami is a must-visit. Take your time and enjoy every moment--you won't regret it!

Casey W.

Yelp
Breathtaking! These gardens are so well manicured and looked after! Turn after turn, lush bushes trailed along the pathway, canopies of trees shadowing the Florida heat, while you can hear the very distinct sound of the bamboo cracking as it swayed in the wind. Get lost on some of the many pathways, and seating areas, (there is a nature pathway I guess you could call it?) off to the side that brings you back around the to bonsai tree section. What an absolute gem! You would never know it was here, hell I was born here and took me 34 years to make it here lol. Great place to take family, or friends from out of town, or an excellent day date!

Anays S.

Yelp
Morikami is near and dear to my heart. In 2015, my husband proposed to me in this Japanese Garden. We recently visited this past weekend and it's amazing to me how nothing has changed. It's still the same beautiful garden I remember. Admission is $16 for adults. They also have a Cafe (Cornell Cafe) conveniently inside the location. Morikami is a nice place to visit as a family where you can take a nice and relaxing stroll throughout the park. It took us 3 hours to complete the whole experience. You have to go at least once if you are in the area!

Cristopher C.

Yelp
This place is stunning and incredibly peaceful. However, I did encounter some distractions, like a security staff member loudly discussing politics and parents allowing their kids to scream and disrupt the tranquility of this magical spot. Despite these moments, I still found peace and managed to capture some amazing shots, which I'm excited to share with you all. I highly recommend it--100,000% Oh and the cafeteria closes at 3 pm make sure you grab the 3 flavor mochi ice cream they r delicious

Kaidynce J.

Yelp
Since I'm a student, I was able to come in here with $12 and it's definitely worth that! There's plenty of different ways to walk through here, and I highly recommend if you need a quiet study spot or to seek nature. I did the full circle in less than an hour, and there was a lot of spots to sit on the trail. The little cafe is super cute! I got a crepe cake and it was very good! Very worth the $12. The bonsai museum is closed for renovations and I didn't care too much for the gallery museum but still great to see if you're interested in it. It was also sprinkling when we came but we knew it was going to rain a little!

Rocco D.

Yelp
Something different to do outdoors which helps with peace and tranquility. Great views of Japanese plants , gardens and some history. Trees, plants, rock gardens, waterfalls, bamboo trees, bonsai trees, fish, turtles and more! If you go early enough you can have a Japanese meal at a reasonable price as well. Has a cute little gift shop too. The walk around is also good for some exercise! Great place to relax your mind, educate kids are go on a date. I will be back!

Daniela A.

Yelp
Brought my mom here for her birthday and I have to say I was BLOWN AWAY by the beauty of this place. Tranquil is the word I would use to describe this place. The staff is very attentive, the restaurant they have inside is very clean, they offer seating inside (although outside was delightful). The sake was spectacular! The vegetable roll was fresh as well & nothing like authentic boba to give you the energy to go back out to the garden and re visit the bonsai exhibit. I cannot recommend this place enough and it is also perfect for children as it allows them to not only be in nature but also learn Japanese culture.

Rajiv K.

Yelp
What a beautiful hidden gem! Very friendly staff explained what there was to offer. Quite a nice theater gave us something to do while it rained and shared the heartfelt founding story of the park. Really reasonably priced gift shop per quality. Park was very well tended and a pleasant stroll. It reminded me of gardens from Japan. They had a bonsai corner that was impressive and many spots to sit down. They also had an art gallery showing of some anime work and other pieces. Definitely would recommend. You'd never guess it's there!

Kimberly O.

Yelp
Peace and quiet. Stunning scenery in the gardens and from the outside cafe. The sounds of water from fountains and small falls can be heard most places.

Kim V.

Yelp
If you want to be transported to Japan but don't have the time/money to fly to the other side of the world, check this place out. This museum and garden was so beautiful. We were there for a few hours walking around the whole property. They hosts many events and festivals throughout the year. The park is on 188.5 acres; there is a playground, gardens, picnic areas, and playground. The museum has a tea house, classrooms, library, theater, gift shop, and cafe. We enjoyed the peaceful walk through the park. There's so many things to look at. The grounds were meticulously cared for with attention to detail. You really feel like you are in Japan. The food at the cafe was good too. I do recommend wearing sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses since it's hot and sunny in most areas. Definitely a must see if you are in the area!

Wen S.

Yelp
Cutest gem in the area. Always wanted to come and I'm so glad I did. Was a very hit day but we managed to still enjoy the beauty of this park. A must visit if you are in the area. Perfect place for wedding pics. :))))

A B.

Yelp
Events..... say no to Alanna!! The Morikami Park is beautiful, but if you choose to do an event there, be prepared to be ignored by Alanna. No response to emails, phone messages, even if she gives you her personal phone number .. she will not pick up. Her assistants make up for the lack of her attentiveness. If you book an event she will still go missing during it and will you will be on your own.

Leigh D.

Yelp
Beautiful and very peaceful place loved the different gardens throughout the gardens and being there with friends

Stephen L.

Yelp
I was at the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens in late October; since then I lost my iPhone so lost all my pictures from the venue; sorry. This is probably the 3rd or 4th time I've been here. All memorable. After my parents and my wife passed away, I visited the Morikami Gardens during their lantern festival to honor my loved ones. The sight of all the lanterns floating in the pond as the sun set in the background was a memorable experience. This time around, I actually walked around the entire grounds of the Morikami Japanese Gardens. A really nice walk and such a shame that I lost all the pictures I took. I will definitely come back for one of the venue's other events or just to visit. Great tranquil place to walk and reflect. I encourage everyone to come also; at least once or twice.

Andrea B.

Yelp
I had to give Morikami Gardens five stars based on beauty alone. This has to be the most serene and tranquil place I've ever been in Florida. From bamboo trees, to the perfectly manicured gardens, to the gorgeous lake and my favorite, the rock wall, everything about this place makes you feel relaxed and calm. The lakes are filled with beautiful koi fish and other types of fish. You can walk at your own pace though the gardens and I was there on a day that wasn't too hot or too crowded so I'm not sure how it would be to come here on a hot day because you definitely do a bit of walking. They have a small museum/exhibit here which is very nice and they also have a restaurant and a gift shop. This is a place that I would definitely come to if you're looking for a bit of peace and tranquility.

Hillary G.

Yelp
Beautiful place loved every part of it. From the kimonos show to the landscapes, everything was lovely. They also had a gift show with food from Japan

Toni L.

Yelp
Beautiful gardens. Don't miss taking a walk around the lake. There is something beautiful around every corner. Food at cafe was excellent! It was a beautiful afternoon.

Larry F.

Yelp
This is a nice place to go. If you're getting to know somebody, you walk through the garden at your own pace and there's plenty of seating. It's accessible to the handicapped and the views are outstanding. You see all types of water creatures, including alligators and turtles there's plenty of walking paths if you want to go out on your own a little bit. I highly recommend this place.

Matthew O.

Yelp
Such a beautiful and serene place to visit! Although Boca Raton is touristy, coming here, you feel like you stepped into another world. You feel totally removed from the worries and stresses of everything happening in life. As you walk around the lake and take in the well kept gardens, you feel like you took a quick trip to Japan. The many bamboo and bonsai plants, as well as the various local flora, makes you feel like one with nature. I also loved learning about the history of the Yamato Colony. Such a unique piece of Florida history that I think more people should come to know. Definitely put this on the list of places to visit when you are in the area :)

Lily K.

Yelp
Amazing! Lots of parking and lots of overflow parking. There are bathrooms at the beginning of the gardens and then in the middle part of the gardens. There was supposed to be a hotei statue but somehow we missed it and I was excited to see it! We started with viewing the tea ceremony. We thought it was an interactive ceremony like we would be apart of it. So we were a bit disappointed but it was very interesting to watch and learn more about! The key thought was that it's meant to be silent though out the ceremony and we're told to concentrate on all the noises like the matcha brush stirring, the water pouring etc and it's fun to watch all the specific folding and cleaning of each item. Now the gardens, we got a bit lost but it's ultimately a giant circle so never too lost. We had a map but it's not quite easy to follow. But doesn't matter because it's gorgeous everywhere you go! Now, the cafe is only open until 3pm. I didn't go to it there was a big fundraising event happening and a huge line. Not sure how it is normally but I was told it's very good. Although, a bit pricey.

Anatoli L.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. This is one of the largest Japanese gardens outside of Japan. A quiet walk along the garden path offers a perfect opportunity for a quiet reflection and learning about Japanese culture. I love the tall, perfectly straight pine trees with a wonderfully perfumed air surrounding them; an abundance of Japanese historical artifacts, beautiful trees and flowers, lots of benches in the quiet corners. One of my most favorite experiences was a large collection of the bonsai trees with extensive explanations about how bonsai trees are made. Lots of waterfalls make another beautiful touch. If you are in the area, it is a must visit. You will need at least an hour and a half to thoroughly enjoy the gardens, but you can easily spend a lot more time there. Most highly recommended.

Heather R.

Yelp
This is an amazing Japanese garden I truly recommend for a visit. It's so beautiful and tranquil really Zen feeling. The decor and artist aspects of this property is exquisite. It's pure nature in beautiful Fla

Melinda K.

Yelp
Stunning gardens, meticulously maintained. I've been to Japan myself and this is the closest I have come stateside to experiencing gardens this remarkable. Surprised at how cool it was for most of the trail even in the heat of summer. Peaceful and a place I will definitely revisit!

Caleb L.

Yelp
This is an amazing place to spend a few hours in serenity and take in some amazing nature. The galleries are fantastic and the tributes are heartwarming.

Roger M.

Yelp
This is a very special place. I find that my blood pressure drops just walking and sitting in nature. I have come for years and will keep coming.

Ansy P.

Yelp
My wife and I visited the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens and it was a truly enchanting experience. As we stepped through the gates, It was instant transportation to a serene world of natural beauty and cultural immersion. The meticulously manicured gardens, adorned with lush foliage and vibrant blooms, felt like a tranquil oasis, inviting me to explore and reflect. Strolling along the meandering pathways, we discovered a variety of Japanese garden styles, each with its own unique charm, from the peaceful Roji-en Garden to the vibrant and dynamic Paradise Garden. The Koi-filled ponds, wooden bridges, and traditional tea houses added to the authenticity of the experience. Inside the museum, we were treated to a captivating exhibition of Japanese art and culture, which included an impressive collection of pottery, textiles, and contemporary Japanese artists' works. The blend of traditional and modern elements in the exhibits showcased the rich and evolving culture of Japan. I wish we had the opportunity to participate in a traditional tea ceremony, which I am sure it was a serene and meditative experience. Overall, our day at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens left me with a profound appreciation for Japanese aesthetics, culture, and the sheer beauty of the natural world.

Kathy W.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful experience with a lovely trail. We were lucky to catch the Bonsai Exhibition and Samurai dolls display! The gift store has lots of authentic and handmade crafts, jewelry, imported items and snacks from Japan. Highly recommend!

Ameer H.

Yelp
I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and it was lots of fun. Beautiful scenery and very educational. The walk didn't feel long at all. The gift shop had so many cool items. We plan going back for sure.

Kathy K.

Yelp
First time at this beautiful 188 acre Japanese Garden and park is located in Delray Beach. I was there during a special event after 5pm. Once we entered the building, we obtained timed tickets for the drum show. Since it was a special event. We directly went to the Cornell Cafe for food. I had the Salmon Bento Box $16 which was a nice selection of delicious Asian choices. Afterwards I enjoyed a nice walk around the lake. The gardens and trees were lovely. I went around a second time. I enjoyed the art display in the museum and the drum concert held in the auditorium. The history of this place is quite interesting. A group of young Japanese farmers created an agricultural community in the early 1900's. The park and museum is named after George Morikami who donated his farm to Palm Beach County.

Te-see B.

Yelp
What a beautiful museum. The grounds were spectacular. The pathways led us through some beautiful Japanese gardens. We learned how the Japanese came to Boca Raton in the early 1900's and settled here. Plenty of films to watch, art to look at and a cafe located just outside of the main entrance of the museum. Benches available to sit at and enjoy the tranquil scenery. You can even meditate! So peaceful here. After strolling the grounds why not head over to the cafe for a bite to eat. Highly recommend visiting this museum if you are in the area:) *Annual memberships available *Senior discounts for 65+ *Student discounts *Adults $15 entrance *Free parking available in the lots

Brian R.

Yelp
This Japanese Museum and gardens is unique in Florida and in North America. Yet it seems that whomever is running it now is running it into the ground. The Morikami is a small museum that curates Japanese cultural and art exhibits. Its massive gardens are a favorite of visitors and locals alike. They have periodic festivals that feature taiko drums, and a sushi stroll. The grounds, especially the many benches bridges and bamboo fences, were pristine. Today they're all falling apart. The trees and shrimps, and the bamboo forest were pruned with care. Today, it looks like someone from one of the local mow blow and go services does the work. The bonsai area's display shelves are falling apart. The beautiful koi fish are all gone from the lakes. The small model building of Japanese life, at the back of the property has been remodeled into an office and some interesting films about the property. Find a different spot for these. Fix up the place. I've been coming there for 20 years. Member for 15+. I won't be back anytime soon

N M.

Yelp
Fun place with deeeliccious food. I'm in a wheelchair. Except that they don't have family wheelchair bathrooms it was enjoyable for us. They have wheelchair bathrooms in the women's and men's bathrooms. We stayed noon till 4 pm and took the tour, saw the movie and saw the alligator! A fun day!

Michael M.

Yelp
The sound of wind through bamboo and soft water trickling just around the bend. Possibly the most effective cure for stress ever. I love this place.

Paola L.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience while visiting Florida from MD - the bonsai trees were from centuries ago! Super cool to see where and when they grew. The turtles, fish, birds and lizards were active and really added naturalness to the environment. I didn't get to try the cafe so I can't rate it but I've heard good things about it from others. There's a longer trail towards the back which is probably on the map (we didn't end up grabbing one) but definitely got my steps in as I accidentally walked the whole thing. Overall beautiful experience, great for a date, sitting down to journal or tourists.

Josh K.

Yelp
Beautiful park. Love their restaurant as well after walking. They gave me a 10% discount after showing them I am 10% Japanese from my dna test kit result. Thank you again

Yelp
Beautiful Japanese Nature Walk, Delray FL We visited during Thanksgiving week and and it was hot in November. Thankfully, it wasn't in the summer months because I can only imagine walking the gardens in the Florida heat. Very peaceful nature walk that featured a pond central to a surrounding trail. We stopped at points of interest highlighted on a map that was given to us at the visitor center. The garden had an interesting history and all around is serene and pretty. It certainly is a different atmosphere once you step inside the tranquil landscape. The garden featured nice sculptures and temples, a section with beautiful bonsai trees, a waterfall, lots of beautiful vegetation and we even saw some critters including turtles, iguanas, koi fish, and different species of birds. We skipped the restaurant. Review #2800

Yelp
This place is a good place to just walk around and take in nature. They do have benches where you can just sit down and relax on a nice day and just take in the sun and fresh air. Make sure you bring a water bottle and hat because the sun can be brutal during certain hours. They do have a good stand and a couple of water stations throughout the grounds. It's about $15/adult and cheaper for kids.

Yelp
The Morikami Gardens is such a peaceful and lovely place. Like many others have echoed, it's a real little secret garden type of place, with numerous bonsai trees that are 30-50 years old and still in training! The gardens in total are about a mile walk around the entire place. You can take an audio tour or visit the exhibitions they have which will teach you all about the history of the garden and Morikami who created this sanctuary. It's not the type of place where you can have a picnic or anything but they do have a well rated cafe with a veranda that you can eat on overlooking the garden grounds! There is a $15 entrance fee and discounts for seniors and students. Well worth it to see the rock gardens and it's beautiful manicured rocks. A lovely place for photos!

Yelp
Still a great tranquil place in Boca. I've been to many botanical and Japanese gardens in different cities now even more, and honestly Morikami is still probably one of my favorites. It is nice and a leisure walk to go on with a stroller if you have kids and explore. I felt peace going here when life got a little overwhelming and stressful for me. I come back frequently now just to enjoy a bit of nature in Boca.

Yelp
Gorgeous place to walk around at. There's not much to do here but if you just want a nice peaceful place to walk around at and get some fresh air and those steps in, then this place is perfect.

Yelp
Plenty of parking even on a weekend. Some people parked in the grass. As we are in Sooth Florida, all of the handicap spaces will be taken especially on the weekend like it was today. They do offer special classes like tea ceremony or kits making so check those out. We went to see a tea ceremony but they offer tea classes here too. The walk around was gorgeous and very serene. I imagine it would even be better during the weekdays when I expect that there would be less people. There was a cafe there with indoor and outside seating. We did order food to eat after watching the tea ceremony. Please turn ur phone to silent during the tea ceremony. They did mention that but during the ceremony, 2 people in the audience phones went off. The cafe did offer tea and a variety of food including some Vegetarian food as well. They also had a gift shop and I was told that they had high quality matcha there as well. The kind used at the tea ceremony.

Yelp
Never ceases to lift the spirit and provide surprises. The gardens calm the stress weary and inspire introspection. The gallery offers insights into Japanese culture both ancient and modern. My happy place!

Yelp
A must visit - there is no better place in the area to get some fresh air in the most zen atmosphere. There are several traditional gardens represented through the spaces, with lots of spots to reflect and be one with nature. Don't miss the exhibits inside the museum too! They offer traditional tea ceremony on certain days!

Yelp
we went there yes I was on Crutches not knowing what to expect. after taking our money the lady did not say there is a lot of walking until she started showing us where to go and that is is about a mile to walk. we asked for a refund all they did was point to the sign "no refund" we were there 3 mins. all they had to say in the beginning can you walk? or this is all gravel walking. no they took our money and that was it. 3 mins $30.00 very rude ladies inside

Yelp
Good place to get away from it all. You can avoid all the hustle and bustle, strip malls and crazy traffic of South Florida by going to this place. It's a great place to relax and be it one with nature.
