Morikawa Bento

I ordered Morikawa Bento via delivery app & what an incredible experience! The Makunouchi (Unagi) is easily among the most outstanding I've ever eaten, maybe even the best. Such a delightful presentation and true to the traditional bento & Ekiben forms, where you discover hidden items as you eat & each side dish feels fresher & more delicious than the last. Feels like a very generously-portioned (in case you're doubting the price tag) home cooked meal prepared and packed by someone with a rare amount of intention & care for not just how the food will taste, but how well it will travel. You can feel the that the chef wants your meal to be a joyful experience filled with little surprises. Truly a new favorite meal of mine in the city that I plan to order again and again.

Ordered the tonkatsu this time and was a bit disappointed. The pork was over-fried, dry, and bland, and the pickled tomato didn’t taste fresh. Rice was good, curry was standard and on the sweeter side. I usually order the unagi bento, which has always been reliable.

The Nasu Dengaku was amazing!!! Was still hot by the time it arrived. Delivery service was a little time consuming but food was cooked expediently. The sauce for the egg plants were not dry and vegetables had perfect flavor and texture; everything tasted fresh including the korrokes ! Perfect for a last minute dinner plan and my wife enjoyed her pork gyozas ! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys rice with various and different appeal to sweet and sour ! I would like to recommend this to friends and family. I would order again!

First time ordering. A very good experience all around. The takoyaki was delicious. Wasn’t sure what to expect but they were soft and flavorful. The eggplant was mixed. Not a fan of the sauce and the texture varied from slice to slice.One soft, others firm and the skin was impossible to cut and chew. The pork belly was okay. Not enough ginger flavor came through and the pieces could be cut smaller. The salads were yummy.

🍱 Eel was delicious and the rice was cooked pretty well. I really enjoyed the Takoyaki as well. The eggplant was cooked well, nice texture.

Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Great selection as well. Would highly recommend to all my family and friends. Definitely going back. I have tried almost everything on the menu and was very happy with everything I tried.

I ordered tonkatsu from delivery app. Pork was terribly SALTY!!!! I can’t even eat a little piece of pork. I try to call them but no one pick up the phone. If you want something good please don’t order pork (tonkatsu)

Order via uber eats. I Ordered tonkatsu cury bento. I was disappointed food was not good. Cury was too many vegetables and barely had sauce on it.

The Morikawa Bento included flavorful Shogayaki (Pork Belly) and Sukiyaki, each bite a symphony of savory delights. Food: 4.5/5 Shogayaki (Pork Belly): Tender slices of pork belly, marinated in a savory-sweet ginger sauce and grilled to perfection. The ginger-infused marinade adds a subtle warmth and depth of flavor. Sukiyaki: A thinly sliced marinated beef over rice. The beef is succulent and tender. The side dishes in the bento are amazing Special Offer from Uber east: What's more, once my order reached $30, I received a complimentary Soy Marinated Egg as a delightful bonus, adding an extra layer of flavor to my meal. Total Cost: With tips included, the total cost of my order came to $38, which I found to be reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the dishes. My experience with Morikawa Bento was a satisfying one, offering delicious Japanese cuisine with a bonus treat and convenient delivery through Uber Eats.

The food I ordered was well prepared and tasted super delicious! This is located at the Avondale's food pick up. I was a bit confused when I was trying to find the location.

I ordered several things from different restaurants in the food court and several of them were dubious in quality. I want to chalk up the terrible quality to ordering during a the Memorial Day holiday, but I am not sure if anyone has gotten or will get sick from eating from this food court and even being open during a holiday is no excuse for spoiled food and food with hair in it (from Keto Eats). The chicken karage I ordered tasted BAD like absolutely spoiled. I have eaten chicken karage many times before so I'm sure it was just baaad. I ate 1 piece and shared it with my bf, he agreed it tasted off and I proceeded to drive back to the main food court to return it...of course I waited 10 mins to even get anyone to help at the front desk since this place is very much a bare bones kitchen. I had also ordered cake from the Keto Eats place and one of the items had a hair in it inside the packaging. I left a review for that restaurant with pictures. If this whole place is closed down within the next year for food violations, I will not be surprised.

I really enjoyed everything from Morikawa! The Chicken Katsu Curry was my favorite but also really liked the Korroke (sweet potato app), Takoyaki (octopus app), and the Yokisoba noodles. Good portion sizes, as this was filling enough for 2 people! Although it was delivered, I thought the service was great!

Wow! So happy there's a bento option nearby and no need to go to the suburbs for my fix. Chicken katsu and unagi were authentic and very filling. All of the sides were very good, especially appreciated the tamagoyaki. Morikawa will be in my rotation.

super good, authentic food. I have almost tried everything on the menu at this point and this is in my rotation all the time. Definitely would reccomend!

Pretty bland katsu curry...small portions, over priced. Pretty disappointed. Its located in one of those virtual kitchens with several other restaurants inside the building.

by far my favorite easy takeout!! i love the tonkatsu, eggplant, and all the sides. It's quick and delicious plus the customer service is great

The gyoza and korokke were spot on! this spot will prob end up being my new go-to bento place

Delicious and authentic Japanese food. I especially enjoyed the sukiyaki (hot pot beef) and the sukiyaki (miso black cod) boxes!

I ordered the Karaage and it was 11.00 but I got 3 pieces so I think it's very overpriced for what it is. Just a warning for those ordering online. Doesn't really look like the pictures on yelp or online. Flavor was pretty good just not worth the money. Everything is pretty small.
