Morning Market

A tiny upmarket deli full of culinary delights that - with its selection of beautiful flowers, cook books, and kitchen paraphernalia - also works as a gift shop. The bakery section is full of creative sweet and savoury breads and pastries (today I saw asparagus danishes on offer, but settled for my favourite canelés), barista coffee is available for takeaway or enjoyment at the tables outside, there are always some readymade meals available as well as some tempting pantry staples and condiments. The booze section is small, but very well curated.

Good coffee and an excellent chocolate tart with a puff pastry base topped with a dollop of meringue. Sweets are on the pricier side though. Beautiful flowers and artisanal sourdoughs available to purchase as well. Seating is limited to outdoor tables only.

Been here a couple of times, very busy little place. Love the setting of the shop.. the breads and pastery are absolutely beautiful.. and awesome coffee.. although the ham and cheese croissant was served cold but if you order a breakfast bag they come heated . Would recommend this place

Coffee tasted burnt half the time I go there, only get iced now. The sandwiches are super expensive, how good can a sandwich really be? Like 17$? I like the focaccia and they’re worth it. I guess it’s expensive as apart of the aesthetic and it’s got this home grown vibe. The vibes are good. But i find i always have to wait like 20 minutes for a coffee

Coffee rating only. Terrible. Way too hot. Still couldn’t drink it ten minutes after being served. Barista forgot to add the sugar. No one in our group finished theirs.

Delightful gourmet cafe/bakery on scenic Gertrude st. Sit outside to soak up the famous Fitzroy vibes. premium cakes and small savoury meals available along with flowers and a small offering of take away and homewares. A little on a pricey side but high quality and consistently good. Breakfast bap and cheesecake a standout. And most importantly very good coffee

I love this cute cafe/shop along Gertrude St! Walking distance from Carlton Garden, you could get your cakes, ice-cream, coffees and have a picnic in the garden 🧺 They sell a good variety of items, and although the prices may seem high, they are good quality products! I would love to come back and try their cakes next visit!

Morning market is beautiful inside and out. Wonderfully curated with tasty food. Walking in the door to fresh flowers really brings a smile to your morning. I had a pie and it was super yum. Definitely worth a pop in if you’re in the area
