On the Grid : The Tampered Press

"The Tampered Press is located right across from Trinity Bellwoods Park, allowing it to be the perfect place to pick up a cup of coffee after a morning jog. The café offers a large selection of coffee drinks and baked goods, including gluten-free and vegan options. There is also a small lunch menu compromised of grilled cheese sandwiches and samosas. The coffee shop offers seasonal drinks and snacks throughout the year, including Chaider in the fall (Chai and cider) and Augie’s Ice Pops in the summer. The Tampered Press is also one of the best coffee shops to work in, thanks to ample seating and free WiFi." - Sovereign State

Spacious cafe just north of Trinity Bellwoods Park Friendly service, they made our coffee and Americans pretty quickly. There's lots of seating indoors, as well as an outdoor patio. They also have a variety of artwork, and merchandise for sale. I love the vibes here, it's rustic but clean and well kept.

I found myself here by accident this morning - I was driving by desperate for a coffee and saw a bunch of folks on the patio. I stopped by, went inside, and found the most amazing spot. The folks behind the counter were very friendly, the coffee was great, the patio was spacious with a nice view of the park, and the breakfast sandwich was on point. I highly recommend if you are in the area to stop in and check them out.

Great location and cute cafe. However, the drink and food was too overpriced and tasted bad… Their iced tea tasted like water and had a very limited options for no caffeine or no coffee (basically none) - which is fine (or at least I understand) but way overpriced for what I get. Sandwiches are practically what you would get from grocery but heated.

Enjoyed iced tea with friend in early fall sunshine. Staff were kind, patient and lovely. Muffins were 'to go, so delicious'! All in all, my experience felt generously comfortable. Thank you Morning Parade!

So lovely. The staff are really nice. The eggplant provolone sandwich was delicious. Really nice vibes and the patio is lovely, especially since it’s right across the park. Highly recommend. They also give out stamp cards !!

Clearly a local favourite, VERY busy on a Saturday morning/early afternoon. Not a ton of individual tables as there’s 2 big dining tables in the centre. Mistakenly took this place as a coworking friendly cafe but, I would say it should just be known as a cafe. Tons of people coming in and out with friends/partners .. made me feel bad for having my laptop out (I left shortly). Free wifi was stable. Wanted to note that the pastries were not warmed up and the music was REALLY loud which made everyone talk louder .. a bit overstimulating for me since it’s also a cramped spot.
