This sailing trip was Inspirational. From getting taught how to sail with the most incredible teacher, to sailing with dolphins alongside us, this trip was beautiful. We got to sail and be active on the ship which was good especially with a family of 5. Capital Mike was so patient and generous in every way. He gave us so many great opportunities and was able to connect with me my brother and sister, showing he really cared and wanted us to have the most amazing experience. He did everything in his power to help us have the most exciting trip and it was so beyond amazing! We got to see dolphins, HUGE sea turtles, and beautiful fish. He took us to the most incredible places to snorkel and adjusted to anything we needed. This is a must do on your trip to St. John!

Captain Mike was amazing! My husband and 2 college age sons had an awesome time sailing with him. Mike was friendly and very educational allowing the boys to help sail. Snorkeling spots were also incredible.What a great memory. We will definitely be back.

Captain Mike was fantastic. We were able to snorkel in multiple locations, brought us to secluded beaches. My wife and 3 kids enjoyed our trip on his powered catamaran as he shared history of the island along with a great lunch. Looking forward to booking everytime we’re in the area !!!!

This was a great experience better than the big catamarans. If you can sail with Capt. Mike go for it. The boat is not new and it is work in progress but the amount of fun we had with Mike cannot be put into words. We had an incredible day of sailing, sites and snorkeling. My kids loved it and they cried when we got back to Cruz Bay. He can handle kids and the families, plus he has a great personality. Not only was it fun, Mike has a bubbly personality and he is a great listener and talker. We had a chance to sail and he is very open to moving the schedule around to fit what you want. We never felt rushed or pushed to do something. We got to a snorkeling site I felt it look rough and expressed my concerns to him and he agreed and we moved on. It was great fun, with awesome drinks and food. We will be back every year and next time we want him to bring his kid and wife. Thanks Mike for a great day of fun under the sun.

One of the highlights of our family's St. John vacation was our snorkel adventure with Captain Mike. We were picked up at the Westin Resort and spent the next 5 hours traveling around the island coastline, discussing island history, viewing the tropical scenery and snorkeling the beautiful bays. Capt. Mike was very knowledgeable and an awesome, fun host. Our catamaran was roomy, provided shade and was a pleasure to be on. We highly recommend our snorkel adventure and Capt. Mike.

My family of 4 adults had one of the best days out on a boat we have ever had! To start, booking was very easy. We had bad weather the day of our original booking and Captain Mike was flexible and worked with us to find another day with great weather! (We still got a few quick shower but when you're IN the water... Who even notices). The wind was higher that usual and Captain Mike still navigated it with ease. He is extremely knowledgeable, but also down to earth and easy to talk to the whole trip! (He even gave me a few good life tips). We explored and snorkeled multiple protected coves and saw plethora of sea life including sea turtles and sting rays. He even let everyone who wanted to to sail the boat ourselves. The lunch and snacks from North Shore Deli was also a perfect post swim lunch! This is also Captain Mike's own business so it's nice knowing everything goes right to him and his family! We will definitely be back!

My wife, daughter and I went on the sunset sail with Mike yesterday. We had a wonderful time. Getting into and off the boat via dinghy at the beach by High Tide was quite smooth. There's plenty of room on the boat for a half dozen or more guests. The main seating area is covered to protect from the sun, and there are beanbags up on the bow to relax in. Mike is a great conversationalist and is very easy to talk to on a variety of topics. Mike taught our teenage daughter the basics of tiller control and filling the sails, and she kept us on coarse for a good part of the sail. We also relaxed in a calm bay and ate cheese, crackers and grapes with the drinks Mike prepared throughout the sail. I highly recommend a day or evening sail with Morningstar if you are in St John.

We had such a wonderful experience with Morningstar Charters and Captain Mike. We brought our two children (5 and 2) and Captain Mike was so accommodating so that everyone had fun and was safe aboard the boat. We had beach time, relaxing time with lunch on the boat, cruised—perfect day! My daughter got to steer the boat, swam with the turtles and had “fancy” drinks while my little guy had a nice nap—we were so glad we did this experience with our kids and Morningstar was the perfect choice for our day charter!
