My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Spanish tapas restaurant. We were lucky to get a table by going early for dinner—by the looks of it, bookings are absolutely essential as people were getting turned away. The food was exceptional, with bold, authentic flavours. Every dish we tried was perfectly crafted and absolutely delicious. We were fortunate to have this gem recommended by a local. The service was fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great food.

Google
Delicious tapas-style food with a great range of cocktails. Share plates between 4 adults were a good size. Busy, loud and dynamic atmosphere. Service was friendly and casual. Staff readily assisted with menu advice to cater for our parties’ dietary requirements. Very enjoyable visit.

Google
I loved almost every single dish. The croquettes had a great creaminess inside. The pork belly in soy sauce was amazingly crispy and flavoursome. Loved the ceviche. The bread it came with didn’t go with it well but still loved the bread as I ate it separately. Octopus was amazing. The only dishes I didn’t love was the prawn toast which was like a lobster roll but with prawn. Would have been great if it was lobster as it didn’t really go that well with the prawn. I also didn’t love the spiked mango dessert they had at the time and thought it was average compared to everything else.

Google
Fantastic find - we were so lucky to nab a booking on a Thursday night, the place was busy and buzzing. Great atmosphere, matched only by the delicious food and cocktails, and super friendly service. Hard to pick my faves but the croquettes, octopus and scallops were incredible, and I highly recommend the strawberry basil smash cocktail. Can’t wait to come back!

Been here a few times now over the last few years and loved it each time. Great drinks and food and friendly service. It's also a really pleasant venue - I love the art on the walls and very much appreciate that the music isn't too loud for a chat, but just right. Glad it's stuck around and look forward to our next visit.

Google
Myself and my fiancé dined here tonight, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Since we arrived during happy hour we each got the 'Trophy Wife" cocktail which was fruity and delicious. We ordered the woodfired bread, croquettes, prawn toast and the skirt beef skewers. All of the plates were beautifully presented and tasted divine. My favourite plates were the croquettes and the skirt beef skewers. Overall I would definitely recommend! Although we didn't book, the restaurant did get busy quickly so it would be best to book to avoid disappointment.

We were seated without a reservation (although I'd recommend making one) got a couple cocktails for happy hour, had 4 sharing plates. Favourite was the steak. Lovely friendly staff + good vibe

Google
Great festive atmosphere and very elaborate cocktail menu. the food was good but not sensational, apart from the artichokes! Big downside for the speed of service. We'd hardly received our drinks when the first course was already there, and then the other 4 followed far too quickly. We didn't have time to breathe 😕

Yelp
This is a busy place in Margaret River and there were constantly people arriving for drink and food. The food was excellent. Everything was very good and we were stuffed after all the dishes. A definite recommendation to try this place if you are in the area.

Yelp
Fine dining tapas where the food is divine. Everything on the menu is amazing, we ordered seconds. If you love good food, it's definitely worth a reservation.

Yelp
We enjoyed having some drinks and two small plates. Had a VIP card and totally forgot to give it to the cashier when we were paying booo. We had a great waiter. He joked with us and brought my husband a coloring sheet and little cup of crayons (husband's request) haha. The scallops were delicious but ... just three.. I was starving. Also ordered ceviche which also was a tiny portion but very good. Their mixed drinks are very different and a bit exotic. I had been drinking wine so I didn't get a mixed drink, but my friend got one and loved it. I liked the vibe of this place - a little too dark but the artwork and noise level were good.

Yelp
We were hunting for a dinner place. Couldn't decide where to go and walked pass this place. It was full of people hence we went in. It's a tapas bar. We had dinner at this place. We ordered the specials. Beetroot cured salmon with 68deg cooked egg served with asparagus, buffalo churrizo, pork belly, chargrilled eggplant, grilled artichoke. I think the food was good but some was average the pork belly needs to be cooked longer. I will give it another try if I have a chance next time.

Yelp
What a delightful restaurant. They have both small plates (tapas) and full plates for entrées. Daily specials. Tonight I had the small wagyu burger with a side salad of rocket lettuce and roasted beets. Wife had the roasted bread plate with olive tapenade. Generous pour on wine by the glass. Food & service & atmosphere were first class, and menu had lots of items for another night, which will be later this week!

Yelp
Morries is one of the go-to places in Margaret River town ship; the food always good, and very different from run of the mill; well put together wine list, and helpful, welcoming waiters. And it is nicely set-up, too. I was in town for a quick visit and after arriving felt in need to refreshment so walked on down and, despite being only mid-afternoon it was busy indeed - good sign as to its popularity and quality - with the outdoor area completely full, so it was inside for me. The food on offer has a tapas, small share dish feel about it - from past experience I know the fried cauliflower with chilli, garlic, coriander and peanuts; the tempura whiting; and the range of mini burgers - Japanese chicken, beef or tempura prawn are spot on - but this time a special, up on the blackboard caught my eye, and roasted globe artichoke was my choice for a snack to go along with my wine. I should say, Morries has an excellent wine list - a lot of thought has gone into it - and they have a fine selection of local and wider WA wines. A half bottle (you don't see these very often, more's the pity) of Castelli Empirica 2016 Funk L'Orange was soon in front of me. As the name suggests it is an orange wine - chardonnay left on Gewurztraminer skins, unfined, unfiltered, has made for a cloudy drop, with a burnished orange glow to it. It has a honeyed, nutty bouquet with a hint of oxidization, the flor aromas you see in dry sherry; the palate is full of slippery apricot and cashew flavours, funky indeed! Meanwhile my snack rolled up - a pretty as a picture plate of roasted globe artichokes, sitting on garlic almond purée, sprinkled with crisply fried capers, and a splash of orange oil. Full of earthy, salty, flavours; the almond a well matched complement to the wine, as was the citrus zip from the oil- fresh, light, just a lovely dish. Morries is one of Margaret River's best - the food is always innovative, and interesting, as well as being very well cooked and presented. The drinks list excellent, and the general ambience spot-on.

Yelp
Generally don't like to eat or drink on the main street as I find most places to be overrated but this place tends to be quite busy so I gave it a go. I think the food is great but the service lets it down a fair bit. They also need to either staff/resource better or do something as the vibe here was not nice to be in. Despite booking, we arrived 5 mins early and didn't expect to be seated straight away although two people walked in just 15 seconds before we did as a walk in table and got seated straight away while we had to wait at the bar. The wait staff were so incredibly flustered and were actually sweating from bolting around the place and after a few frantic checks offered to seat us at the bar until the table was ready, which we didn't mind. The restaurant was extremely dark and while we sipped on wine our table was ready in 10 mins which was fine. The issue there was that the staff had seated us right in the middle of the bar where the bar man was mixing drinks and was serving all drinks for the place about 20cm in front of us so we felt very much in the way as waiters kept grabbing drinks from in front of us and between us. We got splashed with a fair bit of alcohol and water, so very unpleasant and it was hard to talk when everyone was so loud and wait staff kept yelling orders right in our faces. The meals were good but not amazing - the vibe of the night was ruined by staff bolting around the place, sweating and knocking my elbow several times. The place was dark so we couldn't see our food and it was so loud from music and staff yelling that we felt uncomfortable and in the way. Food arrived very quickly but a touch too quickly and we saw that the kitchen pre prepares meals from the kitchen door swinging in our line of sight. It was hard to get staff attention to order more drinks and when we did they never came so we gave up. Food is nice but the atmosphere isn't.

Yelp
From the USA and have been ion vacation in Australia now for four days and have eaten out at 8 different restaurants and this is the first place that is worthy of a TRUE FIVE STARS. Absolutely fabulous! We had reservations at 6:30 and walked in to a packed restaurant with our table waiting. The meal theme here is Small Plates and each one is truly a work of art and delicious. We ordered two items off the specials of the day menu and two off the regular menu. Confit Pork bellies and scallops, Tempura whiting fish with apple and celery remoulade, duck parfait with charred bread, and seared kangaroo loin with baby carrots. (Had to try the kangaroo since I am in Australia.) Now don't misunderstand me here each item was unbelievable, However the apple and celery slaw-like remoulade was "over the top and I could have eaten a gallon of it alone". The duck parfait was also delicious.....hell's bells it was all awesome. We plan to change up our schedule so we can have a second visit to Morries before we head back to Perth and the US.

Yelp
My husband and I came here twice during our weekend getaway in Margaret River. Both times we loved the food options, and our choices were spot on. I had the "chicken" salad with quinoa, olives, cherry tomatoes and haloumi in place of the chicken (I'm vego) for lunch, and my husband had the wagyu burger. Both meals were delicious and a perfect quantity for lunch. For breakfast I had the brekkie burger (vego option with avo instead of bacon!) and my husband had bacon and eggs on toast. The burger was phenomenal - tomato relish and aioli complemented the fried egg and avocado perfectly. I ordered flat whites and mochas on separate occasions, and both drinks were made perfectly! I often judge a barista by the way they make a mocha (you'd be surprised how often they get it wrong), and I was not let down this time. Our only complaint is we wish we'd had time for dinner here - the offerings looked mouthwateringly delicious. If you come to Margaret River, you MUST eat here. The service is outstanding. The staff genuinely make you feel welcome and treat each customer as if they were a local. Do yourself a favour.

Yelp
Great little find in Margarwt River! Went there after reading the reviews and I was not disappointed! We ordered 4 tapas for the 2 of us and that was just enough for us on a hot day. Had the grilled haloumi which had a very nice pickle. Also ordered the pork belly, the glutton free bread with olive oil and the grilled artichoke. Every thing was super nice. I recommend booking because it is super busy. We arrived without a reservation and had to wait for 40 minutes. It was worth it!

Yelp
I was down in Margaret during Xmas and not many things were open Boxing Day. Thankfully Morries was. I was drawn to this place from other reviewers and especially keen to try this place as it reminded me of the cafes in Sydney/Melbourne. The interior was funky and it had a really modern feel, quite unlike a country town! I was happy to see a quinoa breakfast option and ordered this straight away. I didn't really want something too sweet for brekkie and was told it just had honey drizzled over it with strawberries and pear. Very very pleased when it came out. I didn't end up feeling like I overate at breakfast. I was also impressed with the coffee as my experience with Perth coffee is that it's expensive and overpriced! Happy to pay if it's good but very often, the coffee made for me is oh so lacking. Not at Morries though! Definitely will be back if I'm at Margaret River again.

Yelp
I had just left leeuwin estate absolutely gutted, as we had missed lunch service without a booking, which of course was my own fault as I was too much in tourist mode and I didn't think I had to book lunch, but that's another story. After leaving leeuwin with ample room in the gullet we drove around aimlessly looking for somewhere to fill up, so we ended up parking in the main strip of the town and spotted Morries, after a quick going over of the menu we asked for a table. The service was friendly and attentitivr from the start with the young Canadian being a highlight of the service. We chose olives, wagyu burger, pork belly salad, cheeseburgers for the kids, higher plane Chardonnay, and trip of desserts to finish. The kids meals were made in house and cooked to a subtle pink in the middle, coupled with a beautiful smoky, charry flavour it was a great burger. The main wagyu burger was no different with a well constructed burger and great brioche bun that rates as one of the best (see best burger list). The pork belly salad was a winner with little pops of freshness from the salad as it complimented the pork perfectly. The trio of dessert was a huge hit with the fresh strawberries giving the dish a degree of lightness. I have never tried the higher planes Chardonnay before but it's slightly buttery notes and price pint are a sure fire winner. Overall a fantastic meal without fault and great service to match. When we are back in the area, I will make a concerted effort to visit again. Food 9/10 service 8.5/10 decor 8/10

Yelp
I haven't been to Margaret River for over ten years and on my first night back, Morries certainly reminded me why I should return more often. The food was fresh and delicious. Staff & clientele - uber cool. The music was funky. Stacks of local beers & wines. I enjoyed a Porterhouse steak whilst my wife savoured the Barramundi...finished off with a couple of 'affogatos'. The only downside? A little pricey - two mains, two drinks and two affogatos for just over $100.

Sheenal S.

Yelp
Went here for lunch after some indulgent chocolate and cheese tasting. Large selection in the menu with burgers, gnocchi and salads. The dessert menu looked good too. Had the open veggie burger with quinoa pattie and focaccia bread. My friends had waygu burger and the potato gnocchi.

Larisa M.

Yelp
So in love with this place. Excellent cocktails we had the expresso martini and beautiful food to die for. Highly recommended!!!!!

Danielle B.

Yelp
Arrived for lunch. To keep this short & not be anti social - Went with the tapas menu Burgers - I liked the chicken better than the beef. But both were lovely served on their own individual plates. Scollops - omg! I've been craving Scollops and these did NOT disappoint! Juicy, perfectly cooked with venison and Pamasan cheese. Gobi sashimi (blackboard special) was also a highlight. Amazing flavour of ginger. For drinks - rum boat float. Sweet passionfruit over ice. Beau ordered them on his extreme recommendation from previous tasting.. It was Nice.. I probably could have gone the mulled wine because it's winter. That drink would go awesome in summer though.

Yelp
Well I have to say that breakfast at Morries Anytime was easily the worst experience I have had in a long time. The Uber and I were in Margs for my birthday and after a spectacular dinner at Muster the previous evening we were looking forward to checking out this oft recommended place. Firstly the indoor dining area was heated to the extreme and unbearable so we escaped to the rustic, ie dirty, patio area. The service was fine but the Blondes specific request for a single poached egg on GF toast was ignored and three eggs arrived. Excellent. My Sausage and Bean Cassoulet, whilst perfectly presented, was absolutely tasteless. No bean taste, no sausage taste. Nothing. Like eating snowflakes only more expensive. A complete waste of money and a morning.

Robert H.

Yelp
We visited Morries during a trip to the Margaret River Region. The service was fantastic, with the wait staff being very fast, efficient and friendly. The wine list and cocktails were great. My favourite part of this restaurant though, was the steak. Cooked to perfection, and seasoned even better, it was one of the best Scotch Fillet's I have had in some time. A must visit Margaret River destination.

Aaron Z.

Yelp
Firstly, this definitely is the best food I've had whilst down in MR! The good thing about Morries, is there's no guessing at when it's opened or closed, they're definitely open, if you're in the mood for some ridiculously amazing food, look no further. It's a cross between a bar and restaurant, accompanied with stellar service, an incredible atmosphere, amazing tapas menu, and very reasonable prices. The decor is awesome. There are couches to chill at and eat, or regular tables, if you desire, but very comfortable and inviting. Their menu will definitely satisfy any food fetish you have. Plus the cocktails and the selection are amazing. The drinks were certainly spot on, strong, just the way I like them, especially when I'm not driving. There wasn't one thing that I could find negative about our dining experience at Morries. Believe me I looked, but it was simply perfection. There's certainly a lot of restaurants up in Perth, that could use Morries as a standard. Our tapas consisted of pork belly, wagyu burgers, prawns, chorizo balls, and arancini balls (I'm now addicted to their rice balls). The pork belly is so perfectly cooked, I almost started to cry. Nice and crispy texture, with a beautiful, luscious, creamy center. This pork belly definitely aroused my palate. The belly was prepared perfectly. It wasn't under-cooked at all, and not greasy, it was simply friggin awesome. The wagyu beef on our burgers was cooked perfectly rare, oozing with it's succulent juices, which melt in your mouth. The prawns had the perfect balance of salty and sweet. This was definitely a foodgasmic experience! I definitely want to come again, no pun intended ;) Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates quality service, astonishing food, in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Hopefully that's everyone, if not, you're a loser :P

Yelp
What a great place! Can't believe we missed this one util now. We were recommended this place for cocktails and dinner but ended up here for coffee and breakfast. Very funky vibe and chilled atmosphere. Design of the place and furnishings are really cool. Food was good and so was the service. Definitely recommend this one when your in the Margaret river.

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Great food, nice staff but overstretched on a busy night. We managed to get a table at short notice at a peak time on a Saturday over the phone due to the great Maitre D' Tom (?) who made our experience from start to finish very pleasant indeed. I ordered the crispy chicken breast that was cooked perfectly and was a super tasty dish. My partner had the Porterhouse steak which he really enjoyed as he loves a good steak. Only comment about our meals is perhaps order steak a little rarer than you are used to as it came a little over cooked. The shoestring fries were a great accompaniment. The house red wine was knockout! Morries is a nice modern restaurant and the decor felt cool and a la mode. Our waitress was lovely however I think they were overstretched and we got ignored/forgotten several times which meant we didn't get a second drink or dessert as we got left. However, we were offered a small discount and a VIP card for our next visit for the inconvenience by Tom (?). We would definitely recommend, but perhaps try when it's less busy. This place was rightfully recommended to us by our B&B hostess at Pinda Lodge who sang Morries praises!

Fiona R.

Yelp
As the name would imply is open all day and well into the evening. The joint was jumping on the Tuesday night we visited but after a short wait, they were able to squeeze us in. Consistently ratedhighly on a number of review sites, it's not hard to see why with a fantastic contemporary menu featuring WA produce. The crisp fried whitebait from the specials for a shared entree was just as it should be. Hot, crisp and salty, these little darlings disappeared in no time. As you'd imagine, they have a great cellar list, plenty of wines by the glass and some bin ends that they also do by the glass. Recent winners in the AHA Awards for Hospitality Excellence, make sure you can as you may not be as lucky as us. Popular for breakfast too (though we didn't go).

James V.

Yelp
Quite an upmarket joint. The waitstaff all introduced themselves by name and were very happy to seat us at the bar until a table became available. Regular updates on table availability flowed until we nabbed a no-show's table. The selection of tapas and mains was quite excellent. We ate wood fired bread entrée, some sliders on classic brioche buns, and amazing crumbed chicken wings. A+ would visit again.

Iain W.

Yelp
We finally got a table at this gem of a place in Margaret river. High end food and drink for reasonable prices for this type of food. The staff was accommodating when our group grew from 3 to 7. Luckily they had space! We started out with the Morries charcuterie board containing beautifully presented pork and rabbit terrine, quince paste, chicken liver parfait, pickled cucumber, rabbit rillette, toasted brioche, grilled chorizo frissee. I loved all but the brioche with pork and rabbit terrine was my favourite. This was good for 3-4 people to have nibbles. I chose a main and others chose tapas. I couldn't go past pedro ximenez soaked prune and shitake mushroom stuffed rabbit leg, prosciutto, parmesan polenta, sous vide baby carrots, peas, mustard cream sauce. Great dish, lovely flavours. The polenta was crisp on the outside but so creamy inside. As soon as I touched with my fork it fell apart! The bar service was excellent and the cocktails were well done. I ordered a very well executed boulevardier with Woodford and while the waiter didn't know what that was the bartender certainly did! We had an espresso martini for dessert that was delicious. Table service was good, well looked after without the harassing feeling. A team of two checked up on us. No rush to finish our food but I did have to smack a hand ready to take my plate away before I scraped it clean :) Ambience is very nice and intimate without being stuffy. Make sure you book ahead, we were lucky last night as they had a cancellation usually it's fully booked out and now I understand why!

Andrew P.

Yelp
Great place to drink and graze on tapas. The service was great. We didn't have a booking but were able to sit at the bar - NO PROBLEM. The evening started with some cold beer and then some pedestrian tapers... Bread, Chorizo and Halloumi... After that we upped the Anti and got a little more adventurous; Arancini balls, tempura whiting fillets, a mini braised pork burger, wagyu burger and Red wine. Wow.... The most memorable of the dishes was the braised pork burger... it was just so juicy and delicious... I recommend booking ahead as our dining experience would have been a whole lot better had this been done. The bar staff are friendly and attentive but just way too busy with the surge of drinks that started at around 7:30pm. There also seemed to be a shortage of menus in the restaurant which was annoying for both patrons and wait staff. Overall great experience. I will be back.

Danie D.

Yelp
This gorgeous gem on the mani strip should not be over looked it's great service and amazing food we stop in here every time we go through and its always changing I had the waffles which were amazing and my darling had the morrieswok breakfast they had such amazing service and the coffees kept flowing especially as I'm one of those annoying ones that have soy and sweeteners double shot and they came out perfect

Shane R.

Yelp
Excellent tapas, friendly wait staff and good wine. This is a busy little restaurant and feels very friendly. Well worth the trip.

Kristen D.

Yelp
We were down at Margaret River for the weekend but found one of my new favorites. The service and atmosphere was amazing, prefect for a romantic dinner. The food and cocktails was delirious. We will be definitely visiting this restaurant again on my next visit back to Margaret River.

Noni B.

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin with this one. From the funky inside to the bold and amazing flavours. Hands down one of the gems of Western Australia! Everyone should go here!

Ryan B.

Yelp
This is my favourite breakfast spot in Margaret River. A wonderful funky industrial feel mixed with a modern french bistro style in the fit-out creates a great atmosphere. This then flows into the service which is warm but professional, with a great menu which is well executed. We ate here three mornings in a row on our last trip down south after the experience on the first day. Each day was just as good and the coffee was the best I found in the area. For all these reasons it is 5 stars from me.

Dianne B.

Yelp
I ate four meals at Morries in two days; breakfast x 2, lunch and dinner. It's comfortable, it's always open (even on a Monday night), the coffee is really good, the service is attentive and friendly, and the food is great and priced well. And there's free wifi. Morries just works. A winner for any meal.

Stacey N.

Yelp
I dine at Morries every time I'm in Margs. I never get sick of it because I know I'll always enjoy my meal. I especially love their breakfasts. And their cocktails are great too!

Kirk H.

Yelp
Open all day. Delicious at every turn. Beautiful classic cocktails. Gluten-free and vegan options. Open late. Wow, if you told me a few years back that a place like this could exist in Margaret River, I would have told you there must be a law against it. Breaking all the status quo boundaries in Southwest Western Australia, Morries offers delicious food and fantastic cocktails AND real-world opening hours. NO COMPROMISES. A number of people are commenting that they no longer have to constantly GUESS when an establishment might be open. They can just go to Morries ANYTIME. And it's really really good - breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks or fill up. YUM! (Oh yeah, and if that wasn't good enough, the service is great too, that's another law they've broken around here.)

Kurt B.

Yelp
Worst service in Margaret River. Lunch food was basic at best, yet still took more than 30 min to get anything including drinks. Chicken salad came out with no chicken and the smoked ham and pea soup tasted like blended frozen peas. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Steve G.

Yelp
Don't go here if you are hungry! Small portions and high prices too! Also music too loud to talk. Not sure if this place is trying to be a night club or restaurant.

Michelle S.

Yelp
I can only review breakfast that we had several days ago but all elements were very impressive! There seems to be an emphasis on whole and healthy foods (which is great!) and this was illustrated beautifully with their version of Bircher museli, full of grains, seeds and fruits accompanied with almond milk. It was moist but not creamy and tasted so good! They also produced one of the best short macchiato's that I have ever had the pleasure to drink. Along with a yummy banana smoothie, I would heartily recommend their food and venue.
