How to Spend a Relaxing Weekend on California’s Central Coast | Vogue

"This beach delivers the main attraction: sea otters and their pups routinely swimming on one side, sand dollars to collect across the road where you can also catch some waves, and sand dunes to climb for a better view of the famous “Three Stacks” that were once a power plant; all around, kayakers, surfers, paddle board enthusiasts, sailboaters, fisherpeople, and bird watchers animate the scene." - Thuc Doan Nguyen

The sand here is so much sandier than other beaches. I think you're really gonna dig it. the sand. And the rock has all the best qualities of rock without the negative side effects that one gets with other rocks. I highly recommend. Oh, and the water has a special kind of wetness to it that is unique to this beach. Not necessarily better than other waters, but special in it's own right.

Dog friendly beach next to Morro Rock. The rock dominates the views and landscape but the beach is pretty interesting as well. Lots of shells and sand dollars. Good sand real estate. Easy access via a dirt parking lot (free) or road parking. What's not to like? Meh, maybe a bathroom or at least port-o-potty but that's about it in my view. Recommended, especially for dog lovers.

One of the prettier places to watch sunset if you’re traveling along PCH.

Historical landmark because Rick formed by volcanic eruption. The beach here is also imply beautiful. The water is very clear and breath taking. But it’s not really a beach because you can’t easily access unless you go by canoe or boat.

One of the best scenery point in pacific post highway which you shouldn't miss. The beach is OK, not the best, but the rocks are gorgeous and the best place to view the sunset. Numerous birds there too, which is quite fun to get close to them. Parking is free and there is a lot on the bank. Definitely it worth to stop by and have fun.

Morro Rock Beach, August 3, 2024 My daughter & me came here & her friend's also to feed the 🐿️ squirrels & the pelicans some 🥜 peanuts! It was quite a site to see them come right up to you to get them (one right out of my daughter's hand) & the pelicans also but the squirrels run from them & then they come back again! It was a beautiful day so many people & their fur babies also. It has been some years ago that I had came here & it was on a 4th of July 🧨 weekend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s

I really really like this beach and its accessibility. It has dunes to block you from wind, it’s a lot less crowded than its neighbors on weekdays, and it’s STUNNING
