This is a truly lovely pub. My 8 year old son is autistic and I brought him in for his dinner, thinking we could eat in the beer garden as he struggles with noisy, busy places but, as it was literally the middle of winter, food wasn’t being served outside in the evening (which makes perfect sense - totally my bad!). The staff found us the perfect wee table indoors, set off the main pub area, and were absolutely lovely with my son. My wee boy is picky with his food, as many autistic children are, and he just raved about his chicken goujons and chips. The quality of the food was excellent and such a refreshing change from the big chain pubs. Such a wonderfully cozy, properly old fashioned pub, with the lovely smell of the wood fire, we could have stayed all night.
