A fantastic place to have a drink and food. The pub is set amongst gorgeous scenery, that really makes you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The atmosphere inside is warm and cosy, which was needed during our visit as the weather outside was very wet! The staff were incredibly friendly, whilst the food was delicious. We visited twice, the first time having the venison pie which is highly recommended, and sausage and mash the second time which was also delicious. Very dog friendly, with at least half a dozen faithful friends inside when we visited - they also have a small group of gorgeous white and ginger cats roaming the area who are incredibly friendly. If you're looking for a great place to relax and get food, this is the place. My only advice, would be to make sure you have a torch or enough battery on your phone if you're walking there as the road in and out after sunset is pitch black with no road lighting.
