Received a very warm welcome at reception. An excellent location for a city break. Great facilities with easy access to buses. Food at The Stables very good value so didn't need to cook. Perfect. Will definitely return. Thank you.

Stayed at this lovely campsite for 4 nights in our motor home. The site is really well maintained, the staff are helpful and friendly. Really easy to get to and from Edinburgh on the no. 11 bus just outside the campsite, takes around 30/40 minutes. The garden centre at the entrance to the site is worth a visit. The Stables bar is great if you want to eat or just sit by the fire with a drink. The food here is really nice. The shower blocks are clean, a shower caddy to put your toiletries in would be helpful. All in all we had a lovely stay here |and will be returning again at some point.

Enjoyed my stay very much, easy to find and access even in the dark. The staff on reception were pleasant and helpful giving us all the information we needed to find our pitch and the facilities around the park. the toilets and showers were clean and modern with plenty of hot water for a shower. a great campsite with great transport links into the city cant wait to visit again.

Back for a second year over New Year. Eventually got pitched beside our friends ( we didn't make a group booking so we're apart) Fab location with walks, the Stable Bar and Klondike Garden Centre nearby. Dropped a star because in the winter having just one toilet and shower block open for use is nuts and most unhelpful. Open the loos guys when your site is fully booked!

First time at morton hall in winter. We normally come in summer. We got a good scattering of snow on Saturday. All the paths to the site cleared in hours. Lovely staff and a great little shop. Toilet block was lovely and clean and warm with red hot showers. Will never use anyone else whilst in Edinburgh. Site is faultless. Bus stop across the road and the number 11 runs every 20mins last bus back early hours. Look for the Highland cows and if you are lucky they will come and say Hello. Visit the stables bar absolutely beautiful food, but book a table as gets very busy. Again great accommodating staff. Really don't want to go home. 😕

As with all places you get good and bad reviews this site seemed a bit of a mixed bag, so decided to give it a go. Booking was easily done online, website was really easy to navigate around. We like to have a fully serviced pitch where possible so was glad to see that pitches were available for our dates. We knew in advance that there’s a strict 2pm entry, so wasn’t an issue. The park was very well sign posted from the main roads, on arrival the grounds were pristine leading up to the park. It’s a single road from the main road up to the park, there’s lots of passing places. Arrived at Reception to very friendly staff, our pitch was mapped out for us, and the signage is helpful to find your pitch. When we found our pitch I will say I was a bit disappointed, I had to check it was a fully serviced pitch which it was, it was a basic gravel pitch, bit unkept and I had to unblock the drain so our water would go down, this clearly had not been done for a while. The most un-level pitch I’ve ever come across, word of warning if you’re in a camper/ motorhome make sure you have levelling blocks with you. There was a toilet /shower block 3 mins walk away which was handy, bit outdated but it was clean and that’s the main thing. I do feel the pitches are quite close together and if most people put awnings up you would definitely feel hemmed in, especially when the park is full. |There’s a lovely restaurant and bar on site, drank and ate there would definitely recommend and very reasonably priced too, it is open to non residents so booking a table in advance is recommended. There’s also a small shop on site which is access through reception. |There’s a bus stop on the main road opposite the garden centre which takes you to Edinburgh £5 for a day ticket which is really good value and the buses are about every 12 mins, journey time varies depending on the traffic anything from 20 mins to around 45mins. It’s a good 5/10 min walk from the park to the main road, its a bit of a stretch if you have any walking or breathing issues, a few stops maybe required along the way.|The site is great base for Edinburgh and touring the East Coast, staff are friendly and welcoming. I would recommend the site especially for the proximity to Edinburgh. Would I return to this site, I’m not sure,If I was to return I wouldn’t pay the extra for a fully serviced pitch, I’d just have a pitch with hook up.

Second year here and won't rush back. Full site for New Year, only one small toilet block open as the others are 'closed for the season' ridiculous when the site is as full as it was. Then when site was emptying as folk went home if you dared park on hard standing rather than churning up the saturated muddy grass you get told to move your car. 'I can't have you parking there mate' in a high Vis jacket with a clipboard in hand! Pitches are not level and staff seem to have a jobs worth approach to paying clients rather than helpful. Not a lot of festive joy, or any joy really. Even a smile would be nice. Such a shame as it is an ideal site to stay on in relation to proximity to Edinburgh and walks

We’ve just returned from a 3 night trip on a fully serviced pitch which cost us just under £150 🙃 |Honestly, we were really disappointed. |The positive is that it’s close to the bus stop and the buses are very regular taking you right into the city centre. |The negatives: |- we paid premium rates for a muddy pitch |- paid for an awning which we didn’t bother setting up due to the pitch not being fully hardstanding for Moho and awning |- brand new toilet block was closed so although we paid the most for our pitch we were furthest away from all amenities |- tractors driving about leaving mud absolutely everywhere. Our shoes were filthy, our buggies were filthy and so was the dog. Just a complete mess! |- when we arrived it was noisey due to sewage works which they didn’t clean up properly after they were finished |- weren’t told about which facilities were in use on site at check in so had to figure it out ourselves ||We’ve paid a lot less for fully serviced pitches elsewhere with better facilities and better standards. |If we returned it would be purely for the ease of public transport, nothing about the site encourages us to go back.
