Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park

Great place to visit but relatively small. Very cheap if you drive your own vehicle. A lot of the roads are tarmac. You need to hire a guide ($10) if you wish to see the rare white rhinos. A good selection of animals.

One unique feature of the park is the opportunity to get out of the vehicle and walk safely to view rhinos at close range—something not commonly offered in larger parks. Overall, Mosi-oa-Tunya is a great option for wildlife viewing, especially for those interested in diverse animal sightings in a shorter timeframe. I would highly recommend the TripAdvisor half-day Safari for this park as it’s good value.

Anytime you go looking for wild animals in a park, you run the risk of not finding them because they are free to roam. Eventually, we saw elephants, zebras, warthogs, monitor lizards, several birds a herd of impala several huge termite structures, and a pair of sleeping rhinoceros. Park staff and drivers were very good at their jobs.
