It’s not often that I’ll review a place after one visit, but Mosob was so good! Ethiopian food was new to us, but we will definitely be back. The lovely waitress recommended the platter as we hadn’t tried the food before, we had that, beautiful beef, lamb, spinach, mixed vegetables, salad, all served on light flatbreads, all delicious. We had a bottle of Merlot, next time beer will be preferable. We finished with traditional coffee served with popcorn and a piece of burning Oudh . All the service was excellent , friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. So good!

Went in for lunch with my daughter, as we’ve never tried Eritrean cuisine. The dining area is beautiful and relaxed, with the scent of burning incense. Asked our server for suggestions pointed to platters. He was very attentive and honestly passionate about their food and explained to us it is best eaten scoping the flatbread with our fingers. Everything was delicious, but the lamb tibsi was amazing, super tender and full of flavour. Service was superb, attentive but not overly intrusive. Our server even offered to get our photo taken. Thank you so much! A little gem away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Absolute gem of a find. Firstly, the atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful including the decor and “vibe”, which quite honestly was unexpected from the outside as it’s just a door way and you go upstairs. I am a coeliac and the waiter was very knowledgable - they made me a Teff flour Injera with our mixed platter. Each dish was a beautiful flavour and a great mix of spices. Really great for mixing things up when you’re coeliac and can’t eat out so much! If I were more local to Glasgow I would come here at least once a week! A high recommendation for all!

This is the first time I have ever eaten Ethiopian food and I am very happy that it was at this restaurant. I found this place on reddit and decided to come for a late lunch/early dinner. The street and the building from the outside did not look very inviting, and I almost left but I am so happy that I didn't judge the book by the cover and decided to go in. As soon as I saw the inside of the restaurant I was impressed with the warm and beautiful atmosphere, smelling like burnt sage, with beautiful traditional decorations, and a very clean environment. Every member of staff was extremely friendly and polite. For a party of two, not feeling hungry, we ordered the flaxseed stew and the kale stew, and we left feeling very full, leaving a few bites behind. The food tasted fresh and very flavourful. The total price was £20. We left very pleased, and will surely recommend this restaurant to anyone in Glasgow looking to try a new cuisine.

We had an amazing experience yesterday at the Mosob restaurant. From the moment we came in, were welcomed very warmly. The staff were super nice and professional. Especially Gagan, Abi and Daniel that looked after us throughout the evening. The food was sensational. We had a mixed platter and added a dish of “ful” with loads of injera bread. Three of us were full and satisfied, but it was so good that we ate to the last bit. We drank one of the best alcoholic drinks I tried ever: “tej”, which is a type of honey mead. It was so refreshing. We finished with traditional coffee, that was exceptional. When the staff learned I came to celebrate my birthday at their restaurant we were blown away by their response. We were given not only a complimentary shot of arak (anise vodka), but also a surprise complementary cake with a candle and a happy birthday singing. This was all by the staffs initiative that shows how much they care. Such a great example of hospitality. Thank you very much Mosob team! Please continue to make delicious food and keep the smiles and welcoming atmosphere. I will be back soon with friends and family.

"I’ve visited a few times and the service from shaku is truly unmatched. He is polite, respectful, and always greets customers with a smile. As an Eritrean, I can vouch that the food is authentic and high-quality. 100% recommended!"

Our first time getting Ethiopian and Eritrean food and drinks was here and couldn't be better. The mixed plate is absolutely delicious and enough for two. Service is amazing, they are really kind. All while listening to beautiful tezeta. ♥️

Here at Mosob was the first time I experienced Ethiopian cuisine, and it made a great impression on me! I had the Doro Wat, which was so delicious, with a unique flavour I haven’t tasted before. I was also excited to try the Injera bread, which is absolutely perfect with such a tasty sauce! I also tried an Ethiopian beer, which was pretty good. My friend had Beef Tibsi, which she enjoys very much. She also had the shot of Ouzo which was interesting to watch, as it changed colour with the addition of ice. The star of the show for me was the Mead (Tej), which was one of the best drinks I have ever had in life! I often think about it, so maybe I should come again for more! The service was excellent, and everything was perfect. Thank you very much, I hope to eat here again!
