Mosselen Belgian Beer Café

This Belgian restaurant feels very authentic. Its decor and vibe are already so welcoming. The food is honestly great. Mussels in creamy broth brought me right back to Brussels. I also loved the crusty sea bass, perfectly cooked, with tasty polenta and fresh salad. The chocolate mousse is a must-try—simply go for it. Service is friendly and attentive, with staff knowing the menu inside out. I’ll definitely be coming back.

This place is great 👍. The food was amazing. My son and I both had steak and it was the best ever! Great choice of beers and reasonably priced. Will be the first place we go when back in Budapest!

This place was a total hit with our group! Everyone enjoyed their beers, main dishes and the delicious goulash soup. The waiter was very friendly too. Definitely recommend this place to any of my friends traveling to Budapest.

Fantastic place with very tasty food and amazing beers—especially the small barrel they place on your table, allowing you to pour your own beer. Kwak beer was also great.

The tap beers were excellent, I truly enjoyed Kwak from the traditional glass. Fries as a starters were Ok, a bit expensive though. Service was good also, but I set 2 of 5 with a feeling of sincere disappointment, because we were mislead regarding the service charges and ended up paying twice for service. We got the receipt and the bank card terminal where we should select tip % before the payment. We selected 10% on the terminal, and after reading the slip we understood that the 13% tip was already included. We did not expect that we will be asked for the tip selection on the terminal, when it is already included in the slip, and no one from the stuff let us know about it. This is not transparent at all, and it is not fair to double charge for the same service. Moreover, I see same problem was highlighted in another review 4 days back, where the owner promised to improve here. Well, the improvement is not there yet.

A great spot for Belgian beer enthusiasts, in the heart of Budapest. They have a huge selection of beers, served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Can't comment on the food but the staff were really friendly, attentive. The beer selection is just unreal. You could easily spend a few days here just sampling everything whilst still being with it too remember what you liked. Really recommend this as a stop even just for a single beer

We visit the restaurant every 2 months and we are always very satisfied with the beers, food and the service as well. However this time when I wanted to pay, the waiter (with the beard) was very pushy he really wanted us to give tip on top of the service fee because somehow that doesn't matter. I'm fine with the 13% but pushing people to pay more gives a bad taste to a great experience. You should talk to him about that. I give 5 stars, but I'm sure I will not return again if he does that again.
