Mosselen Belgian Beer Café

This Belgian restaurant feels very authentic. Its decor and vibe are already so welcoming. The food is honestly great. Mussels in creamy broth brought me right back to Brussels. I also loved the crusty sea bass, perfectly cooked, with tasty polenta and fresh salad. The chocolate mousse is a must-try—simply go for it. Service is friendly and attentive, with staff knowing the menu inside out. I’ll definitely be coming back.

This place is great 👍. The food was amazing. My son and I both had steak and it was the best ever! Great choice of beers and reasonably priced. Will be the first place we go when back in Budapest!

Very specific atmosphere here – quite dark and moody inside, but maybe that’s how Belgian pubs look by default. The food was a mixed experience: the chicken with mashed potatoes was really good, but the beef tartare was very strange and at the end I felt really bad after eating it… so I honestly don’t know if I can recommend it – you might have to try it yourself and see. If you enjoy Belgian beers though, this is definitely a place you could drop by.

This place was a total hit with our group! Everyone enjoyed their beers, main dishes and the delicious goulash soup. The waiter was very friendly too. Definitely recommend this place to any of my friends traveling to Budapest.

I have been a patron of this establishment for nearly 5 years now. Food has always been impeccable aswell as the service, they know the meaning of hospitality ((after a sore throat I had a really growly voice and one of the servers without skipping a beat brought me some honey to ease it)). The beer selection is exactly what you would expect from a Belgian Beer Restaurant and the atmosphere is classy. I come here every semester and cannot recommend this place enough. Cheers!

I stopped in for a quick beer while walking around Budapest. Belgian beer is very special, so I was happy to have stumbled upon this place with lots of options on tap. My server Thomas was very attentive and friendly, and happy to assist in both the English and German language. I would recommend this place to have a nice chat and catch up with a friend.

Fantastic place with very tasty food and amazing beers—especially the small barrel they place on your table, allowing you to pour your own beer. Kwak beer was also great.

We had a pork, chicken and prawn dish, three beers and a dessert. Very well cooked and presented, good value for money and topped off with a super friendly waiter. No frills good bar atmosphere. Thank you we will be back.
