We stayed two nights at Mosswald Villa with friends and loved it. The sea-view rooms on the first floor have breathtaking panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and spectacular sunsets. The property is spotless, breakfast excellent, and the place run very professionally.||Check-in is 2 pm and check-out is 11 am — staff are quite firm on this, though three hours for turnover seems a bit much. Wi-Fi was okay, and in-room coffee facilities were satisfactory. Despite being on the main road, the rooms are very quiet.||Well worth a visit, and with several excellent restaurants (Hotel Du Oncles, Kai, Cactus, Teleni, and Crush) less than a kilometre away, it’s ideally located. Highly recommended!

Spent two nights at the hotel at the tail end of our amazing Sri Lanka trip. The location of the hotel is right on the beach with every room facing the sea. We woke up to the sound of surf every morning and loved sitting outside the room - Dolce Far Niente ||The staff exemplified everything we had come to expect from Sri Lankan hospitality. We got to know about the hotel from a friend and have similarly passed on the details to others interested in visiting Sri Lanka

What an incredible time at the villa. By far the best service i have received from any of the holidays i have been to. All the staff were extremely courteous and attentive anything that we required. The rooms were beyond exceptional and the food was just lip smacking. for a review, I had to force myself to find one negative and all i could find is that they can maybe install a couple of fans in the founders suite private pool side. Mosvold Villa Ahangama is one of the most beautiful beachfront properties I've seen. The food was absolutely delicious, and the direct access to the beach along with a perfect sunset view made the experience even better. The rooms were extremely comfortable and cozy. Highly recommend for a peaceful beachside getaway!

We had the most incredible two-night stay at this stunning beachfront boutique hotel in Sri Lanka. We stayed in the Founder’s Suite, which was absolutely breathtaking – spacious, beautifully designed in colonial style, and complete with its own private pool overlooking the ocean. ||The service throughout our stay was outstanding. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. The restaurant was another highlight – every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Don’t miss out on the incredible sea food and Sri Lankan cuisine! ||Whether it was breakfast by the sea or a dinner under the stars, each dining experience was special with attentive staff always keen to help. One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. We experienced the staff as warm and accommodating. We had our young son with us and all the staff were attentive to him and helped to entertain him so that we could enjoy our meals. The rooms are stunning with great attention to detail. The beds are super comfortable and the room is equipped with everything you may need to feel pampered. The food - where do I begin! The breakfast was a variety of fresh fruit and delicious pastries. Lunch and dinner choices were phenomenal. The Harissa prawns are the best item on the lunch menu. The beach to the right of the hotel is lovely for swimming and surfing. Very safe for children to swim with adults. The sea view from the hotel - nothing short of paradise. Superb 4 night stay 👌🏼
