Mosvold Villa

Very few places in life have the Aha effect, when you come through the impressive gates and see this colonial building, the beautiful terrace and then the Indian Ocean directly in front of you. That was amazing and first impressions count. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the rooms are well laid out and large, offering a very. comfortable stay with plenty of room to relax. The food was excellent and the pool was well looked after and provided an opportunity to swim some lengths after surfing in the sea. The sunloungers directly overlooking the sea were special and access to the sea is direct from the hotel terrace. All in all a luxurious environment and one that we would love to repeat

We chose this beautiful villa to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be the perfect romantic getaway. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful atmosphere and elegant surroundings made us feel completely relaxed and special.||The food was absolutely amazing — every meal was delicious, well prepared, and thoughtfully presented. It truly added to the experience and made the celebration even more memorable. Enjoying great food together in such a calm and private setting was something we’ll always cherish.||The villa itself was spotless, cozy, and full of charm, creating the perfect space to celebrate love and special moments. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and respectful of our privacy, which we really appreciated.||My wife had an unforgettable birthday, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate it. Highly recommended for everyone looking for a romantic and memorable stay. We will definitely return.

Masvold Villa is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. Beautiful sea view, pool, service, great food. The rooms were always beautifully clean and the icing on the cake were the evening cookies that the nice staff always brought. We were very well looked after here. Thank you, we were not here for the last time.

Mosvold Villa was one of the highlights of our three week trip to Sri Lanka. We stayed for five nights in the Founders Suite and it was incredible. The views from the room, the service and the food were all incredible. We looked around many of the beaches on the South Coast and actually liked the location of Mosvold more than most places. Being located just north of Ahnagama and at the south end of Kabalama Beach meant that it is on a relatively quiet and private point right next to some of the best surfing spots but close enough to walk or tuk tuk to the shops and other restaurants. We'd highly recommend it to anyone.

This hotel was the last stop on our month tour of India and Sri Lanka and we found it to be the most perfect oasis - it was a blend of elegance and luxury yet comfortable and low key. We loved the setting and spacious sea-view room. The staff were incredible and understated - they were so kind, hospitable and responsive. The food at breakfast, when we ordered snacks, and a late lunch were all really great and the seating area under the portico is perfect. Service to lounge chairs near the pool is lovely when you're in a wet bathing suit. |The staff allowed us to have a 2pm check out as our flight was late in the evening from Colombo - this was a huge perk and much appreciated. The other guests were a blend of locals and westerners and all were considerate and classy.|We dined at the resort and in Ahangama at a few waterfront restaurants. It was fun to have variety so close by. We made an afternoon trip to Galle and that was a perfect short getaway without missing too much of the beach and sunset at Mosvold Villa.|We would love to stay here again and hope to get back before too long.

Our family of four stayed in Mosvold Villa for three days. We wanted to end our stay in Sri Lanka with three days in a high end, down to earth and privat place. And that is truly what we got at MV. |The location is out of this world with great views and on the doorstep to the beach, the ocean, the waves.|The villa, the garden, the outdoor area is of very high quality, everything seems new, it is fresh and it is clean.|The people working there are the most friendly and most service minded, fixing everything for you without you asking. Being a Norwegian my self, I am used to fix my own things and carry my own luggage, but that was out of the question, and they did it all for us and with a great smile on their faces. It felt natural and helpful without feeling condescending.|The breakfast included is overwhelming with lots of fresh fruit and lots of choices, and the lunch and dinner are also of a great choice, and sometimes they have other offers that is not on the menu. We had a great seafood barbecue our last day, that also was fantastic, with lots of fresh local choices that was SO good. I am normally not a fan of buffet and those kind of dinners, because of all the food waste, but the chefs organising the barbecue did a great job making sure they did not cook more that we ate, Well done.|The prices in the restaurant is a bit pricy compared to local restaurant, but we can not expect it to be different in such a place. Then there are lot's of choices of great restaurant in Ahangama that I suggest people try too. |Staying just in MV for a couple of days is an absolute dream.||We are coming back!||Enjoy!

Our lunch at this stunning property by the picturesque beach was absolutely delightful! Every dish was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Wow big star to the entire teamthey were warm, professional, and friendly from start to finish.||This villa truly feels like a home away from home. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. Overall, it was a genuinely wonderful experience.
