Motel Au Vieux Fanal

Room was sparse, bed, table and two chairs. Quiet for sleeping. Bonus Great service from Check-in staff. Luckily I had my confirmation #. All my info was done incorrectly. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to get my info right with the booking staff at the motel..in the end I asked for the confirmation number. Always ask for a confirmation number!

This is not the best location ever for a motel scenery wise, but walking distance from everything you need. Check in and out was easy. Coffee at the lobby only. Room was ok and clean. Bed was comfortable and there was a fridge so nothing bad to say

The place is afortable, room was simple but confortable and very clean. It is pet friendly. If you get one of the rooms in the back you ave see the sunset. There is a microwave and a great coffee machine at the front desk. When I arrive there was a person at the reception that was very friendly. there is a kiosk to check in after hours. Good location, few minutes drive to the main street.

The rooms were nice and affordable. However, our experience was almost entirely derailed by the fact that when we arrived later at night, nobody was at the kiosk to check in and there was no instruction as to how to check in. We were very fortunate that we happened to run into a fellow guest who told us you have to check in at the hotel across the street. This HAS to be communicated better. Once we knew this piece of information, check in was easy and our stay was comfortable and clean.

The hotel has some age you it but the rooms are kept clean and the beds are comfortable with easy parking The gentleman at the front desk is very nice and helpful 👍 This hotel is awesome value for the price and do yourself a solid and have breakfast at The Coffee Mill with their unbelievably delicious Chai Latte 😋

Check-in is available 24hr, as it is through a machine and not face to face with anyone. The beds were comfortable, location is okay, and washroom was clean.

We stayed one night in this terrific motel on our way to our destination. It was excellent. Looks like the decor has been completely and tastefully redone from the floors, to the paint, to the curtains, to the bathroom, to the bed and linens. The bed was very comfortable. The room was super clean and small but it had everything we needed for a short stay. I would stay there again and I would absolutely recommend it. Management was very quick and polite to respond to an email query that I had after I left. Great service. Great stay. Thank you!

Went twice. 1 bed room is a little small and smelt like the room hadnt been open in weeks. Smelts like and old closet. The 1st room we got with 2 beds was amazing with a little patio door leading to the back side of building. The 1 bed room should be less expensive than we paid in my opinion since there was way less to offer with that room than the 2 bed. It being pet friendly tho is amazing.

I can't speak for the other motels in Rivière-du-Loup, but this one is a great bargain and the hostess was a pleasure to talk to. In fact, everyone in this town has been a pleasure even if my French comprehension is rather subpar. I would love to come to R-d-L again and I would 100% definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone else.
