Motel El Bosque

These reviews are a little difficult. This is not a 5 Star hotel but we couldn't find fault with any part of our stay. Our room was upgraded to a suite, which was perfect. The main restaurant had an excellent selection for their breakfast buffet. Lunch was good, but we didn't get a chance to try dinner. Pool was being enjoyed by many (not us). Renovations were underway in a couple of areas, although it didn't seem to affect the hotel operation in any way. Staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful, 5 Star people. Don't go there expecting a 5 Star hotel. Expect good service and a reasonable price and you will enjoy your stay.

My group of three adults and one infant enjoyed a very tasty lunch at the main restaurant in this hotel. Service from Restaurant Manager Emilio was prompt, friendly and efficient, and the meal was delicious and well-presented. The restaurant is spacious and air conditioned, and is adjacent to the newly-rebuilt pool. The extensive breakfast buffet is also served here; during previous stays as a hotel guest this was excellent.

Overall, I had a great experience with Islazul Villa El Bosque; the staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean and perfect while visiting our family. Every staff member I encountered were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to my friends!

Stay there for 4 nights. The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning works just fine. Like most places in Cuba the water pressure as a bit to desire. That's the reason for the four stars the shower seem to work well but the commode sometimes would not. The people at the hotel are very kind and helpful. The people of the city are the best! I purchased an internet card and was unable to use it. Very frustrating being an American not having internet... Lol... I continually tried and was able to get connected for about 30 seconds. The range of WI-FI was very weak and only available to get onto the internet and one particular spot at the hotel. if you're looking for a place to stay in Cuba this would be a recommended place the food is great. They made special dishes for us that wasn't on the breakfast bar. The main thing is that everything seemed to be clean. They had plenty of bottled water so there's no worry of getting dehydrated. I love this place I love Cuba and I love the people in this city.

Nicest rooms we had in Cuba, but the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Rooms were large, clean with good A/C and hot water and even had a flat screen tv. Pool looked a little suspect and the restaurant was just ok.

I stayed for one night in Villa El Bosque in Holguin. The rooms were clean and the shower was nice. However the rooms needed some maintenance. Because of our short stay we couldn't use the swimming pool but it didn't look very clean. Breakfast was ok but nothing special.

I am all about positive feedback so hotels can learn, but dont have to get punished for it, but this hotel gets no love from me. Had to spend one night here with my wife to catch a plane the next morning and I spend the night comforting her, that the night would soon be over. It was so dirty that even the bugs were affraid to touch the ground. The airco looked like it was blowing diseases in our room, my wife put on the little mermaid lights we had on the wall to only discover that her pillow was covered with ants. I can go on like this, but there is no point.

Ok for one night. But the supprt of the desk personal for the taxi reservation was bad. I had asked for a taxi reservation to the Viazul station for the next morning. Information about approximaty price was not possible. Ok, i assumed less than 5km shouldn't be more than 5 CUC. Taxi driver was there on time but requested 15 CUC. Told me that there is a new bus station. We contacted the lady at the hotel desk. She confirmed that the new bus station is now outside of the city and the price is ok. Arriving at the Viazul station we recognized that it is the same as 4 years ago. Just 5 km from the hotel.||Usually the hotel personal should support their guests, but not taxi drivers requesting unfair prices. Here it is the other way around. Quite bad.
