From Rich’s Genuine Greeting, willingness to show a room (ready and available, even though it was the last room), share in his adoration of the area and knowledge of the Best Eats, to checking in with me the next morning, Motel Safari’s details to excellence is only as good as the Ownerships Pride. ||There are rooms for all, we chose a King. I had a nice soak in the tub to the sound of “Route 66 Radio” playing in the background on the antique radio. The soaps/shampoo/lotion were of good quality.||The newish towels and sheets are soft, everything very clean, pillows and mattress pad soft and a good sleep was easy. We didn’t hear any roads or lot sounds, the A/C was effective (remote controlled).||The Kurig was ready to use, cream and other flavors freely available in the Gift Shop/Office. I made coffee and walked the short distance to the Historic Bakery across the street for some Gluten Free Baked Goods (delish), again recommended by Rich.||The very few things that may have made this a 5-Star Review would be: Darkening Blinds (bright lights for safety outside the door for obvious reasons); a small gap under the door; the carpet albeit indoor/outdoor is worn around the corners, lvp flooring might be better; the bathroom counter leg is rusting and leaving a stain. No offerings for food, there could be cookies/muffins/small offerings, even for a fee.||Overall, we were grateful for a place to lay our head in such a sweet motel. We will encourage others to stay as well!!
