20 Best Ramen Restaurants in Tokyo

"You never know what eclectic ingredients you might see scattered around this cozy ramen shop, which caters to a host of businessmen-regulars who often spend their whole lunch breaks waiting for noodles in the (admittedly lengthy) line." - Brian MacDuckston

A bit waiting required, but it went by smoothly! One thing that stood out was the freshness of the ingredients. The ramen looked like they were made to order! The Shio ramen flavor here is very clean and modest. Not oily at all, and the roasted Tomato on the Special Salt Ramen was amazing! For those wishing for a stronger taste, I would recommend the Shoyu ramen- I'm sure they're both great!

This is one of my top 3 go to place for ramen in Tokyo. It is located around the Akihabara area. This is my usual side trip when I am done electronics shopping at the Yodobashi mega store. The ramen style is clear and light. There will often be a line to get in, but it does move fast.

This place takes its ramen seriously, both in flavor and in its setup and decor. I really enjoyed it! I arrived at this ramen spot at 11 AM, and there was already a line. Once it was my turn, I used the vending machine to place my order (I got the special ramen and shumai) and waited in the back until a counter seat was available. The special ramen included a variety of chashu, including duck breast, which was delicious!

Cool ramen shop! Always with long line but I could walk in without the wait as I arrived 10min before closing 😊 Counter only with low counter so can enjoy the live show while waiting.

So good I went there twice in a row! Absolutely worth the wait, jaw droppingly good ramen. Would put anywhere else to shame, a certified must if your in the area! 12/10 is going again tomorrow too much?

Stumbled to it as I was walking around Asakusabashi for a dinner. Lined up and waited about 30 minutes and felt I was lucky as the chef stopped accepting new guests at 7pm. So it's bettet to secure your spot before 6.30pm. The restaurant was small with 12 seats. The special ramen and shiu mai blew my mind. Noodle was soft and chewy. Broth was amazingly tasty. The experience I had here was unbeatable!

A friend highly recommended this place, and we just had to try it! We ordered the special soy and special salt ramen, and they were both absolutely delicious. Watching the chef and server work was mesmerizing—they had such an organized and precise flow. The server even measured the distance between chairs while cleaning, and the chef poured hot water over the bowls to keep the ramen hot longer. It was a rainy day, and we waited about 30 minutes, but it was well worth it. We enjoyed every moment, including watching the team in action. You get to choose between thin or thick, chewy noodles. If you want to try both, be sure to order extra noodles ahead of time! The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. It's easy to see why so many locals enjoy their ramen here, even dining alone. A big thank you to the amazing chef and professional server who guided us through the best way to enjoy their ramen. Another must-try item is the shu mai—highly recommended!

The food's really fantastic - had the shio ramen and was blown away!! The broth starts off really light but the more you eat and mix with the other ingredients, the sweeter and richer the broth tastes. It was delicious! Also the whole experience of watching them piece the ramen together was a really nice touch. I'd totally visit again to try the soy based one. Note, queue moves slow, you'll need to be patient
