Very intimate space with fantastic bartenders who construct your drink based on the flavours you enjoy. Every drinks I've ever had was worth the slightly pricey cost. One of the few gin bars in the city.

Amazing gin spot that I was not expecting to find! I felt like I was back home in the states. Great cocktails and an impeccable selection of gins from all around the world. Caitlin, a co-owner, was super hospitable and full of energy. Very welcoming with cool vibe. Great for grabbing a drink out at night and not wanting to deal with that club-like atmosphere.

Great little find. Massive selection, can be pricey but worth a visit. This bar focuses on Gin, as the name suggests. They have Gins from all over the world, from the easy to find to the very rare. The staff are very knowledgable and the cocktails are good. There is seating downstairs too and the whole atmosphere was something quite different.

Soooo many Gins to choose from and also some popular mix options with a new-age style of preparing the drinks. Small and cozy.

Great Gin bar in Bree Street with a well chosen name. They have a very very big selection of Gins here, ranging from International flagships to new South African Names that will surprise you. Be careful about the prices, the same category Gin can cost you a lot more due to import tax. Try to go for one gin, one tonic water and maybe one botanical instead of mushing 20 botanicals together.

With over 90+ gins on the menu, I think we can safely call Mother's Ruin the ultimate gin bar in Cape Town (... for now!) There's so many cool new spots in Bree St, it really makes for a ladies' night out with specialty cocktails. Instead of ordering what you ALWAYS order, ask one of the cute bartenders to surprise you instead ;) You won't be disappointed with their concoction, and you get to watch their creation at the bar!

Really awesome variety and knowledgeable staff. Enjoyed the ambience but the downstairs lounge could use a bit more attention. Overall a nice spot for a chilled drink. Highly recommended for the gin lovers obviously.
