Taste the world with delicious baked goods from Singapore bakeries - SilverKris

"Their signature double-baked almond croissants are a labour-intensive pastry: a three-day process with a dough that undergoes 12 hours of fermentation, resulting in a crisp exterior, a nutty, properly sweet almond filling and crunchy almond flakes for pleasing textural contrast." - Rachel Eva Lim

Ordered sourdough bread online (at least 2 days in advance) and picked it up in store. The process was smooth, and the staff were very friendly. The sourdough was beautifully roasted. Upon slicing, I was greeted by the pleasant aroma of wheat. Its chewy texture, perfectly balanced acidity, and complex flavors made it delicious on its own, without any spread or toppings needed. It surely will be part of my daily breakfast, something I can see myself looking forward to before bed :)

After our pizza meal at Beyond the Dough, we just had to have some coffee and Mother Dough Bakery proved to be the perfect spot for coffee and some pastries. Food - 5*, their Coffee Lamington (S$8.50) and Almond Croissant (S$7) paired with Flat White (S$7.50), Mocha (S$8) and Cappuccino (S$7.50) were great enders to our fantastic lunch. Mother Dough really knows comfort baked goods and brews. Totally satisfied.

Came here while looking for a place to hill and chat with friends. They serve a variety of baked goods. But j just ordered an iced black ($6.50). The seating areas are on the upper floors. Coffee tasted regular to me. Nth mindblowing. Just a nice place for small gatherings i guess.

Great place to sit and relax and enjoy a fresh pastry. Was disappointed with the ultra bland coffee given the price. I could get a coffee with far more depth in Thailand for 50 baht

Found this place when looking for something like La Vie En Rose in Penang for breakfast. Tried the Smoked Salmon Toasties and Banana Bread Almond Croissant both were out of this world. I even bought 3 whole sourdough bread!

Really appreciated the water after the long trudge to the bakery ! Thoughtful touch! Though I suspect it’s for restaurant goers. 9$ for the whole wheat sourdough— staff is super nice! Closes rather early for s g standards at 5pm

Really good pastries, recommend getting the warm items as the pastry is so buttery and flakey after heating. Seating is very limited.

Waited up to 15-20 mins just waiting at the counter to order, no acknowledgment or anything from the staff. The sign to find a table first isn’t placed very clearly either so waited a few extra mins after she told me to find a table and had to wait for her to attend to me again at the counter. Bakes were good — I would recommend the tuna melts and peanut butter chocolate loaf. Choc croissant seems nothing special. Iced latte was extremely sour. Tried the banana miguelito on another day and really was very good, may only return for that but the bad service still puts me off.
