Moti Mahal - Greater Kailash part 1

My last pit stop in Delhi was Moti mahal Just got a chance to try the kababs and it was mind blowing Melt in the mouth consistency 😋 I will surely be back to try the butter chicken next time 👍

The iconic Moti Mahal with the long contested claim of the original Butter Chicken. It was our first time visiting this place and this place does not disappoint! Yes there are many good butter chicken across Delhi but this one takes the mark for the tanginess and the subtle sweetness that's the hallmark for a proper butter chicken. It's not too heavy in cream. The seating is low so it is a bit difficult to be properly comfortable but that disappears when the food is that good. The servers and hosts are friendly and it looks like a place with more tourists than locals. Parking is a problem since this is quite a busy chaotic street.

Great ambiance and food . Hospitality was also very nice. Great place for family and friends. Must try their Kesar Phirni.

The food was really great. We tried the Murgh Curry and Pindi Chana Masala, and it was delicious. The ambience is good and definitely a great place to dine. It's my favourite, go to place for mughlai cuisine. At times, there's waiting over the weekend but they definitely accomodate you for the soulful food within time. Best butter chicken and chicken pakora in the world Nd inventers also name of the restaurant is moti mahal gk 1 this restaurant is since 1920s Had a great experience at Moti Mahal , GK- 1 The Dal Makhani were rich and full of flavor, Lovely ambiance, quick service, and top-notch North Indian food. Definitely coming back

Family oriented and authentic Indian dining. What else can one ask for. Moreover, Moti Mahal invented the much loved Butter Chicken!!! Lovely food & ambience, staff is courteous. Had famous dal makhani & paneer lababdar, I am in love now. I want it daily🥲

I recently had the Butter Chicken and Daal Makhni at Moti Mahal Delux, and both meals made a lasting impact—each in its unique way. In general, Restaurant is essential for anyone who values excellent food and exceptional service. I'm eagerly anticipating my next trip there!

Sorry, but we were very disappointed with the dal makhni (stale), paneer tikka (served was cold) and top it all the chicken pakora was a big disappointment! Will I ever go again there? Have heard a lot about it but No, I won’t visit again! Will I ever recommend it to any of my family or friends - NO!

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype I visited this restaurant expecting authentic flavors, but it turned out to be quite underwhelming. The Paneer Butter Masala was extremely watery and lacked the richness and depth that this dish typically has. Calling it “authentic” feels misleading. Service was just as bad — staff were rude and unwelcoming, rushing us to finish our meal so they could clear the table, even though we were still eating. That’s simply not acceptable. On top of that, the place was smelly, the washroom was filthy, and overall hygiene seemed like an afterthought. Honestly, the hype around this place is just false advertising. If you’re looking for a truly enjoyable meal and good service, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
