First of all, thank you for the upgrade of the room. I am very sorry to say that the hotel, where I spent two nights back in December 2024 and had previously found very pleasant, seems to have declined in certain aspects, particularly due to the restaurant staff not meeting the professional standards expected of a 4-star establishment. This unfortunately undermines the overall experience.||For example, we had to repeatedly request for our table to be stabilised—at least three times—which should not happen in a hotel of this calibre. Service of bread was inconsistent, requiring us to ask for replenishment frequently. When our second bottle of wine was corked, all four of us pointed it out, but the waiter insisted on testing it himself; in a 4-star restaurant, such a response is quite disappointing. On the positive side, the food itself was nice and tasty.||After dinner, while some guests were outside having a smoke, staff asked us to remove our items from the table so they could clear it, and we overheard them expressing relief that it was not a congress day as they would finish early. A bit more discretion would be appreciated in such situations.||Breakfast was enjoyable, but it would be lovely to have proper espresso coffee and freshly squeezed fruit juices instead of the lower-quality options provided. Including a few more local products would also enhance the experience and reflect the hotel’s standards.
