Mount Etjo Safari Lodge

Wow. The night we spent at Mt Etjo safari lodge was the most wonderful night we spent in Namibia. It was for a great part because of the fact we stayed at "the villa." This villa was huge! We had our own pool, very nice views of the lake/waterhole with hippo's swimming in it. At night we could hear them as well as lions. We did the lion feeding which was also a very nice experience. Private gamedrive was excellent. Beautiful reserve. Private bush brunch very good, dinner very good. The whole property was beautiful and very big.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mount Etjo, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Orlando our driver and guide was excellent and we were able to see lions, rhinos, hippopotamus and multiple other animals. The fire pit and food were excellent and the rooms were well equipped. We did not try the pool as it was winter! It is a little out of the way which added to the charm.

A satisfying stay overall. The outdoor areas are beautifully maintained, and the excursions—especially the experience with the lions—were truly impressive and memorable. However, the rooms are noticeably outdated and show significant signs of wear. Some timely renovations would greatly enhance the overall comfort and appeal.

Absolutely Amazing!|Mount Etjo was a highlight of our trip! The campsite was beautiful and well-maintained, offering peace and great views. The food at the lodge was delicious — truly a treat after a day of exploring.||We saw so many animals right at the lodge. A top destination.

We, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, stayed in the Villa of the lodge for 2 nights mid of April with a Hippo swimming in the lake in front of the Villa. Breathtaking view on Mt. Etjo table mountain with flashes from a thunderstorm in the night. Great service and very friendly people everywhere. Tasty food and spectacular game drives with lots of animals around. We can highly recommend.

Loved camping here. They only have 6 camping spots and it's on a water hole. Each camping spot has its own Lapa, kitchen and bathroom/shower. Our site (#1) was totally private from the rest. Staff was very friendly and the morning game drive we booked was excellent seeing we saw basically every type of animal they have and all this up close. Will definitely visit again.

WiFi is lousy but heck, you didn’t come here for the WiFi! I enjoyed the Safari, hiking, and general natural beauty of Namibia! Great place to go for some off-grid nature adventure!

Nice lodge bye the NP. ||When we arrived no one cared to check us in. |The staff looks like they are forced to work, so you have to dig out any kind of information from them. |We booked an afternoon gamedrive, which despite bad weather ended very well seeing male lions, and rhinos. ||The buffet dinner was not good. When you look at the lodge and how classy it is, then you expect more than that in a dark room with smoke. ||We went for a rhino tacking on foot and had to go early in the morning. |here we saw both grey and back rhino! For the price it's well worth to do, as it's cheaper than other places like Palmwag. |The breakfast brought by the guide was horrible and we didn't ate anything of it. ||So to sum it ups, if you're out for wildlife photography, then this lodge it for you!|But the bad food draws it down for us.
